This hotel is situated in central Rennes, across from the SNCF train station. The Hôtel Kyriad offers comfortable, air-conditioned and soundproofed rooms with free Wi-Fi internet access.
Score from 222 reviews Very good
On the outskirts of Rennes, 5.3 km from the train station and a 9-minute drive from the airport, this Campanile has a bar with a lounge, 24-hour reception, and free Wi-Fi throughout.
Score from 297 reviews Very good
Citotel Le Bretagne is ideally located in the center of the city, across from the TGV Train Station and Gare Metro stop. Its soundproofed rooms have free Wi-Fi internet access and flat-screen TVs.
Score from 615 reviews Good
This contemporary-styled hotel is in the center of the city, with direct access to the TGV train station and the metro. It provides free Wi-Fi access.
Score from 292 reviews Very good
Breakfast is not bad, included with all the room rates anyway so you're paying for it. Croissants, ham, edam cheese, fruits, yoghurts, freshly squeezed orange, hot chocolate all good. Coffee awful.
Can't remember leaving a bad review on TA before but will not be staying here again. Horrible tired rooms, awful smell coming from bathroom, cigarette burned carpet, dirty loo seat as well as bathroom walls and door. Will not be choosing the Ibis Styles again, about time it downgraded to a standard Ibis or Ibis Budget pricewise as these rooms are not value for money - pretty disgusted with the whole booking. Staff not unfriendly but perhaps uninterested in their now dated hotel. Asked for nicer rooms as they have got some newly refurbished (although very tiny) rooms hich we stayed in last time and was refused. The hotel was almost empty when we stayed so I thought that was pretty unfair. We stay in Rennes often and will definitely be staying elsewhere next time. Ibis Styles ruined our stay in lovely Rennes.
Location was good close to the railway station & metro and 10 mins walk from city centre. Breakfast was good also.
All rooms are basically single room size and very little space is left for two once a super king size bed is put in. Not keen on the glass doors separating the bathroom from the bedroom. Ok for a single person but not two. Free tea & coffee are provided in reception but the water was not hot, so it was undrinkable.
Location of hotel, plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Easy walking distance of old centre with shops, places of interest etc. Parking (payant) close by with reasonable charges. Staff very helpful. More emphasis on 'Style' than practicality in some areas. Good breakfast, enjoyed stay!
Location of hotel is good but not easy to find by road even with the directions provided. The main reason for this is the construction site opposite for an extension to the Rennes Metro and lots of deveations because of this. Will be the case for some months. The rooms are small but adequate but the bathroom is only separated from sleeping area by frosted glass doors with little privacy especially if using in the middle of the night when it is necessary to put on the main lights to be able to use bathroom lights.
Close to the train station and just opposite to the bus station to Mt St Michel. G/F room assigned but noice isolation is perfect. Nice staff. Breakfast included and has variety. Free drinks provided in evening. Decent resturants around.
A short walk from the railway station, clean and good for business travel with desk and wifi.
Easy access to train
Dreadfully minuscule room, dreadful shower
Great location. It was easy to find after getting off a late train.
I got a top floor room and hit my head on a beam while using the luggage rack. My height is average. The beam was at an angle and painted white so was hard to notice.
1st room smelt of smoke but on request moved immediatly
Excellent breakfast, kind staff, and great location.
Everything and the the included breakfast is lovely. All staff great and room ideal.
Location made it easy to find and navigate around the city
This hotel was very clean and comfortable with a decent IBIS breakfast. We were traveling by train so the location beside the train station was ideal for us. Staff were all nice and helpful.
Road works currently outside the hotel (2014) - not the hote'ls fault of course. The only English language channel on TV was CNN . Would have preferred something else - France 24 perhaps ?
Quietness, friendly staff. On suite facilities in all rooms, rooms cleaned daily. The help yourself breakfast, hot drinks in bar area. The availability to leave luggage before and after stay.
Shower- the controls did not work well. Not very impressed with dinner menu, so did not eat there and the drinks in bar area were expensive.
This is our second visit here and was as good as last year. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is tea, coffee and water available in reception and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty.
No free parking
warm welcome, accommodated our cycles, nice breakfast.
huge building site right outside the front door
Comfortable room and very good breakfast. Opposite of the station and close to the city centre. Good crêperie next doors!
We had to change the room because it smelled of cigarette smoke (even though it was a non-smoking room). It was no problem to change.
Excellent location. Very clean room. Helpful staff.
Room was small.
Friendly welcome, nice bathroom, good breakfast.
Rooms are a bit small.
chambre beaucoup trop petite et prix trop élevé
Another example of amazingly effective use of limited space. The welcome at this hotel was warm and efficient, everything worked well and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The shower worked ad equated but was far too sophisticated for a hotel of this standing, and it was not easy to manipulate a shower with three different outlets.
Easy access to the station. The window boxes were very colourful and well maintained. Good breakfast.
Glass toilet doors which were too near the bed.
It is extremely convenient! Very near the train station and a good place to stay if you are intending to use it to pop over to Mont St Michel by bus. That costs 12:70 euros. There is also Carrefour (a supermarket nearby).
Some drunk men would be around and they seem to like to come up to us to say strange things and they are very persistent even when it is clear that you do not speak any French... we had to hasten away and walk into the hotel. There are also some homeless people and teenagers out to look for trouble. Just walk away. All in all... it is still pretty safe.
Convenient location. We picked up our rental car right at the train station so very easy. About a 17 euro taxi fare from the airport. Room clean and functional a good budget hotel.
Room was small as expected, we only stayed one night so it was fine buy might have been a bit too tiny for a long stay.
It is very well-located and can be seen from the front entrance of the train station, Just look to the right across the front plaza.
Got bad directions to the nearest grocery store - but that could've been my lack of comprehension rather than the instructions. A large grocery store is quite near.
