Smoll, hot room. Very old bathroom. Thin walls, noisy rooms.
The hotel is close to the centre of Beziers. It is in a side road so there is some noise from cars and passers-by if you have the window open but only what you'd expect from a central location. There was no music disturbance or anything like that. The hotel is 3 mins walk from bus terminus. It is well decorated, clean and comfortable. The shower ensuite was small but adequate. Breakfasts are good but we chose to eat out sometimes. There is a nice roof terrace. Beziers is a lovely place. We liked the cathedral, park, markets, and found good restaurants. Sundays the place is pretty dead but we enjoyed the Restaurant XVIII next to Pizzeria de 3 Arches which was open. We got the train to Carcassonne, book day before for cheaper tickets, worth visiting though it's touristy. Thoroughly enjoyed our short October break, lovely weather. Staff very friendly.
Some might not like the 60 odd stairs up to bedroom on 3rd floor.
Good location, a nice room with a balcony with doors that actually opened ! The staff were very polite & always helpfull.
The friendly and helpfull receptionist
I had a sore foot and there was no lift
The roof terrace was the highlight for me. It is spacious, equipped with plenty of seating and tables, and electric and water. It has a fascinating panorama. Nice and central
Shame about no lift, but it is old and quaint
The staff was amazingly friendly.
It didn't bother us but there is no elevator just in case you have heavy luggage.
It's done out very nicely in a trendy way. It has a roof terrace where you can take your food and drink and have a good view over City
Not the hotels fault but beziers is a bit of a dump
Friendly staff, some (minor) problems were quick solved. Situated near to the centre. Located neat the city center.
Room near stairs very noisy from other guests.
The hotel was close to the park and retaurants. Bookable, secure parking close by. So much better than the prefab no character chains
Some dodgy locals
Very clean and convenient for our single night stay
Very friendly staff, nice location with roof terrace (!), short walking distance from city center
Minor issue: Shower needs repair
add said there was air conditioning when in fact thee was none. AC is major consideration for us when traveling in southern france in summer. Bookings needs to vet their listings better
The builders arrived first day and erected scaffolding across our balcony which spoiled our view and our balcony access.
Good value Centrally located Helpful& Friendly staff
Lack of lift rules it out for elderly or those with heavy luggage
The staff was very helpful and recommended the best restaurant of our entire three week trip.
the stairs were a bit precarious to maneuver. the room was tiny and the bet not as comfortable.
Very small bathroom
Very friendly and helpful hostess. Fresh baguettes, croissants, juice and tea for breakfast.
Was cross that i didn't understand about the lovely private terrace on the top floor until we left.
It was close to the city and had a balcony with opening window.
There was noone there when we arrived. We had to ring to get someone to open up. The girl was very nice when she arrived.
the lady at reception was very nice and helpful. centrally located
no toilet paper. no tv remote control. the bathroom wasn't really cleaned
Very friendly and helpful ladies gave the hotel a homely feel. Recommended a very good restaurant nearby. Would stay there again, Nice place, thanks.
Our second visit, and though the staff have changed they're still excellent, very helpful with good advice on restaurants or car parking ( though round the hotel is poor, on the next road between 5pm and 9.00 am it's free and there are always spaces. Tip. Put 1.50€ in the meter after 5.00 and you get till 9.50 the following morning. The hotel's not fancy but it's excellent value for money.
Bathrooms a bit cramped, but nothing really disliked. We like Beziers and we'd use Hotel Alma again.
Friendly welcome. Modern tastefully personal decoration within old building. 5 minutes on foot to the only part of Béziers where there's some choice of restaurants.
The location was ok for exploring the town and thrre was a free bus which took me most of the way from the train station.
Wi Fi didnt work. No lift. High bar-type swivel stools for breakfast. The ensuite was exactly that ...just cut out of the corner of the room. And I was woken and kept awake from 3 to 4 am by someone watching horseracing I think. It could have been a guest, but I think it was a son of the household. This place was a dump, not worth the money ... was it really 2 star ??
Very personable and friendly staff. Good service and great food!
