The hotel is quite run down but very French and has obviously been very grand at one time. I have stayed there about 8 years ago and nothing much has changed. The people however are lovely and the room was adequate for a couple of nights stay.

Close to restaurants and shops. Very dark sombre decor in corridors and room. Bed and bathroom were clean but overall status of maintenance was poor.

We upgraded on our last night from a fairly basic to a lovely room; spacious with a balcony - well worth the additional 22 (ish) euros. The cheapest room was pretty basic, probably only to be expected!

Good place. Kind people serving in the hotel. Bad parking, was difficult to find free place around the hotel. There was only one bed in the room. We were sleeping together with adult sun in one bed.

The worst thing was the smell when you entered the building. It smelt of a dirty kitchen! It is an old building that has hardly been modernised. Very dark and unfriendly. Hot water ok if you let it run a long time. Could not eat anything there because of the bad smell.

The location is excellent. The welcome was really nice. Straight into someone's front room complete with books, flowers & Grandfather clock. Staff showed us to our room, where breakfast would be, couldn't be nicer. The hotel is old and strange but typically French. It was enjoyable, an experience. All shabby chic. I loved it. Huge big windows opened on to a little balcony. Glorious sunlight flooded the room. There are 2 big rooms overlooking the front of the hotel and we were lucky enough to get one of these. Really enjoyed this strange ecentric place. Within walking distance of everywhere, a joy to sit and have something to drink and be able to walk the few feet back to your room. No car park, makes it a bit strange trying to find parking when you are bringing cases. Lots of parking around though, when you get to know the area. Noisy and the dustbins are emptied around 5am.
