Upon arrival, the manager was keen to help in any way he could, willingly carrying our cases up four flights of stairs to our spacious and comfortable double room. The location and quality of service were excellent.

A little traffic noise was evident from our hotel front room.

The hotel has preserved many of its 19th century features, and has a good atmosphere. While choice of food at breakfast was limited, quality of bread and coffee made up for that. It's well located in Dinard, but without private parking facilities. Bedroom on top floor was quiet with outloook across Dinard to its market. Staff/proprietor very friendly and helpful.

Bathroom was a bit difficult to use. needs to up date its information on this hotel which no longer has a restaurant. The front of the hotel did look a bit tired and it needs some investment - hopefully without losing the character of the place. Parking is problematic- free parking is possible on the road outside, but can be difficult to get.

The owner far exceeded our expectations in terms of giving us much time to speak about Dinard and France in General. We had an updated room, very comfortable And very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Well located.

Just wished we had more time here, a lovely town and enjoyed the hotel.

The whole stay was very enjoyable from when we checked in to checking out, the owner and his brother were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Would definitely stay here again.

Lack of tea and coffee facilities in the room, went down in the morning for a coffee to be told to come back at 8am as they didn't serve until then, which i didn't have a problem with as the owner was busy setting up for breakfast but this could have been avoided had there been facilities in the room.

We were made extremely welcome, the proprietor did everything and more to assist us in our stay. He drove us to restaurants, recommended venues, I could not have expected more. We ordered drinks at the bar on the first evening, which he didn't have but went out, on a Sunday, and we had them that night.

You can always find something to dislike but if I consider the whole package, price, service, cleanliness, facilities etc, it was extremely good. No it is not a 5star hotel, it doesn't have a restaurant and doesn't do a cooked breakfast. It is still on of the best experiences I've had and would go again.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. Raphael gives a great welcome and excellent advice on where to eat etc. The hotel is clean and comfortable, has lots of character and charm, and is within only a short walk of the main beach. Highly recommended,

There is nothing to disagree with at Hotel Altair.

The proprietor made us feel very welcome

Don't expect to get a kettle in your room (and try to save money on breakfasts by buying 'just add boiling water' porridge). The proprietor was very understanding and brought us boiling water in the dining room every morning.

The person who received us was very kind and helpful; the room was large, comfortable and with a nice balcony; breakfast was good; even if there was no parking in the hotel, it was easy and cheap to park in the street
