location fine, staff helpful, wifi OK
small, a bit expensive, the door of the room is not so good.
- ATM and train station just down the street - 24 hr receptionists were always very helpful and breakfast lady was super nice and even packed us a croissant each on our last day - The strongest WiFi throughout our 3-country stay in Europe - Large Parisian window - Simple bakery next door, small shop (like a 7-11) down the street, and Kebab-type food next door - Close to main central train station We agreed that even after the cons, we'd come here again since we now know the area and where to avoid, plus the receptionists were great :) *TIP: When at the train station or anywhere else, DO NOT sign a "petition" or be bullied into signing anything or giving money to a group of Pakistani/Indian girls while they reassure you "yes, yes, thank you Lady". This is a SCAM. REMEMBER: Do NOT give money unless you are GETTING something right back!
- Uncomfortable neighborhood! - Shady-type characters on the street and the area surrounding the train station is questionable. We made a strict rule after going the wrong way that we should not pass the Foot Locker store - The scratched-out graffiti writing on our bathroom mirror - Strand of hair in the shower left from previous guest - Tight room space. We had to take turns passing between the desk and bed - Overall "feel" of the hotel is one of a cheaper, shadier spot... BUT it grows on you, especially after staying there for four days and three nights *TIP: When at the train station or anywhere else, DO NOT sign a "petition" or be bullied into signing anything or giving money to a group of Pakistani/Indian girls while they reassure you "yes, yes, thank you Lady". This is a SCAM. REMEMBER: Do NOT give money unless you are GETTING something right back!
RUDE STAFF NEED TRAINING IN CUSTUMERS SERVICE
Staff was always willing to help and answer questions. Actually went out of their way. Breakfast staff (say hi to Louisa!) Was wonderful. Room was very spacious. Although bathroom and decor need updating.
Walls, ceilings and floors need major renovations.
Staff very friendly, breakfast included, cleaned the rooms everyday, free wifi, close to gare du nord and metro.
Wifi quality poor on 3rd floor, great location near metro although really strange neighborhood
Staff characters and hospitality and hotel location.
For me the speed of the WiFi was great and the fact that it was free. The bathroom facilities were also spacious and clean.
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in my room.
Breakfast with real orange juice. Nice room.
No wifi, it did not work. They sad somebody is going to repair it.
Close to the Metro. Close to Sacré Cœur.
Shower didn't drain properly. The base filled up with water even when the shower was hardly running. Decore dated. Bed linen (blankets and quilts need to be updated or even matched in the room.)
Close to everything and lots restaurants and shopping and closed to the train station
I think I get allergy from this hotel !
location near to Gare du nord
Hotel charged my Indian credit card given for booking confirmation without my approval. When I am about to check in they told we already charged your card so no need to pay. That was disgusting. Hotel charged city tax for the infant too which was really absurd, they are not so polite to give the room before 2:00 pm. I do not recommend a stay here if you are not planning to pay through credit card
Location is good, closer to metro station of Barbes which lines is linking to major tourist places in Paris. Close to pigalle, many good restourant and sacre cour cathedral. One station away from gare du nord but still within walking distance. Next to Arabian halal food kebab and Japanese sushi , ramen place. Nice!
Not suitable for late night check in as location is not quite friendly during nights. My room is on 6th floor, no lift and wi fi lost in sometimes. If you travelled with heavy luggage request lower floor. Breakfast is quite expensive for only bread and cereal.
Dirty worn puckered carpet, noisy. Woke up with back ache. I felt very uncomfortable there. I made reservations for three nights but only stayed one because of the hotel policy (had to pay for first night).
A very good value hotel for the money. Very clean and comfortable and close to Paris Nord and eateries but not too close to have the drinkers hanging around and the noise of the trains. The staff were friendly and worked hard to be of service, even after I departed. For instance, I had to email them to send me a copy of my receipt because I lost my first one and they responded promptly. The Wi-Fi here worked great, this is one of the few hotels I have stayed at in Paris where the Wi-Fi actually works well on the floor I was staying on (3rd floor). I will definitely stay here again.
I have no complaints.
2mins to metro station, 10mins to gare du nord. They have wifi and free breakfast, young staffs are nice. Two small shop just downstairs, quite conviniant.
Not safe in the area, saw many thiefs nearby. Always some strange guys talking below your windows in the night. Room is too small, it doesn't look like the photo on the website at all.
The twins in the reception, the flexibility and kindly.
State of disrepair
un très bon hôtel et le personnel professionnel
quelques fruits pour le petit déjeuner
Staff very helpful
Hotel needs a makeover, paint peeling etc
Hotel was well located near to metro stations, staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good.
The downside was the group of guys who talked loudly outside the4 shop across the road till all hours. As it was summer and we had our window open this made for disrupted sleep.
Good location for some tourist attractions, i.e. Sacre Coeur Handy for Gare du Nord Very warm welcome
It's close to the station.
The hotel lift and carpets and the poor level of cleanliness. And the unprofessional approach of the staff.
