Score from 2240 reviews Good
Across the road from the East station. 5 minute walk from the North station. Metro station outside front door. Location wise it's ideal for the tourist. Not too bad on price for the centre of Paris. Helpful staff
The noise from traffic never seems to stop, but it is almost Paris central. Not luxury by any means but then again not too bad really
Location. OK for a 1 night stay. Handy for Gare du Nord. Friendly staff at reception. Quiet, even although it was in the city centre..
No Aircon in room. No shower cubicle. Breakfast very slow.Generally, the hotel was "tired" and needs a good re-vamp.
WIFI -- Location near Gare du Nord & Gare de L'Est . By metro. Good breakfast.
No proper share as no bracket for shower head. Otherwise clean & spacious bathroom.
The only good comment that we can give you about this place is that the staff was friendly and helpful.
Strong smell of cleaning products and of cigarettes, we were staying in a non-smoking room. Wi-fi did not always worked from our room. Walls/doors were dirty. Toilet seat was too big for the toilet and kept moving from one side to the other. Air circulation was very poor and if we opened the windows we got the smell of the restaurants nearby. Very warm in the room, no air conditioning. Did not have a lot of choices for breakfast.
Our room faced a courtyard so it was quiet when we opened the windows (but not very cool)
On a warm September day there was no air conditioning ans it was too hot to sleep
Comfortable bed, good shower, good size wash hand basin and everything was clean. The hotel is right by the metro station and Gare du l'est - very convenient and pleasantly busy. We will definitely go back to this hotel again and will recommend it.
Nothing we didn't like but we wonder whether it will be too hot to stay there in the summer as there was no air conditioning in the room. We visited in the beginning of Sep so it was not a problem for us then. There is a heater in the room but we didn't need to use it.
Staff service was excellent
Close to Gare du Nord, metro in front of the hotel, and good restaurants near by.
The beds are a little uncomfortable.
Location and proximity to train station.
Felt a bit unsafe if walking in the area. Breakfast server was rude toward us because we didnt speak french. TV not working. Hairdryer at frontdesk.
Staffs is good, location is good, near to the train station, comfort bed
Lots of money for poor quality, I paid £250 for 2 night but no elevator to my floor bedroom! I was take all my things to the last floor by stairs, tiny stairs, lots of moud in the bedroom and toilet, they should tell the travellers the time of breakfast, very slow reception, I was with my son of 6 months old and they spend lot time to do check in, should be cheaper, waste money!
The hotel is located close to Gare de l'est and right by a metro station, so getting places is no problem. The rooms are very small but clean and the beds are comfortable. We had four single beds in what would be a single room in North America. The staff were friendly and the breakfast included in the rate was adequate. Overall, great for people who don't plan to spend much time in their rooms.
The neighborhood is a bit dodgy, as it's rather noisy and maybe not the best place for women to be walking alone.
Location & cleanliness
No airconditioning which I had been told in phone call they had. Noise. Dirty. Difficult shower.
Jonathan at the desk was extremely helpful. He told us where places were and saw known pickpockets in action and told us to use caution with the people carrying clipboards. Being close to the train station and subway was the greatest convenience.
The issue of breakfast was confusing based on your website. It sounded like it was mandatory or you would be charged $8 each day. We were jet lagged but got up for breakfast because I will not waste money paying for something I don't use. It was only when we were signing out that I realized we didn't have to pay if we didn't eat. We slept in one day and had to leave too early for another morning.
Nothing since the hotel is in a busy street and we couldn't sleep with the noise.
We where allocated a room on the 5th floor and the elevator was not working, the stairs are dangerous and we had bulbs missing in our room so it was quite dark in the evenings. No air condoning so it was very hot.
Clean, comfortable and well priced Helpful staff who speak good English Bus, train and metro directly outside (but therefore noisy!)
Noisy neighbourhood No tea and coffee making facilities in room Not really possible to unload or unload outside hotel
Friendly, helpful staff Very close to Metro and cafés
One electricity plug. Couldn't open door when in use or use air conditioner No hair dryer, fridge Couldn't access English tv
The staff (one man) was fantastic. Very apologetic he was about the lack of quality furnishings and the broken items in the establishment. He brought me a huge pitcher of ice cold water which may not seem like a big deal, but nothing is free in europe, not even use of the toilet. This water was a godsend as I'd been drinking warm tap water in a bottle for days. Also, no bed bugs.
Nothing seems to function when it's above 85 degrees f. The elevator was out of order due to the heat. The lock on my room door only had three screws in it and none of them were even tight. I tightened them with my fingers, no joke. That's how loose they were. I'm sad to say that I checked for beg bugs. I've never done that before at a hotel, if that tells you anything.
Bathroom light didn't work. Wifi Signal was a bit weak on the 5th floor.
Was a good location because it was next to the train station and just around the corner from the Hop on Hop off bus which took you into the centre of attractions. Lots of great places to eat. A lot cheaper than in the centre of Paris. Nice breakfast, but table and chairs jammed in, so it was impossible to get out if someone was at the next table.
Booked 3 rooms. 2 Double rooms ok, but the triple room we booked for our 3 teenagers had 3 beds in jammed against each other. No space between them. They did get a big bathroom though. Double rooms had smaller bathrooms, but ok. Rooms a bit old and tired with need of a renovation. They had bad smell come up the pipes. Had to put towel over plug holes in sink and shower so we couldn't smell it at night while in bed.
The location is very close to the Gare De Est (40m) and Gare Du Nord (15mins walk) The staffs are very friendly. The room is generally good
Because it is close to the stations, so the surroundings are a little bit messy. The wifi is bad when you are in the room. The facilities are very old. The breakfast is nearly nothing. The bathroom was broken and got fluided...
The Hotel Amiot is conveniently located across from the Paris East train station. Free WiFi. The hotel room cost was budget friendly.
The elevator was broken our first day. We could only get WiFi in the reception and breakfast areas. The luggage storage area was not locked. The breakfast was overpriced for the bread, coffee and jams that were served. If you decide to stay here, don't pay for breakfast. Instead, go next door to enjoy a hearty breakfast.
Beds were clean
This was the last hotel in a series of 9 booked for our holiday. It was the most expensive and the least comfortable. Our room was on the road side of the hotel and because of no air con we needed the windows open. The hotel is next to the bus station and the night buses run from there. Both nights we were disturbed by groups of drunks shouting and the buses waiting with their engines running. We struggled to sleep both nights. The breakfast was meagre and the staff serving breakfast not very friendly. The toilet and shower were old and dated and the shower head could not be adjusted. Very poor value for money.
Location, wifi, breakfast included, clean facilities, good cleaning service.
No airconditioning, room was too cramped.
