Bed bugs, and no elevator working
location (metro station just in front, shops, train station) and price. I stayed there for some days just to sleep, not to stay there, so it was enough. Compared to other prices, it was quite good (taking into consideration the prices in Paris!).
building is old; could smell other ppl smoking inside the building; lift was not working
Location, staff, facilities
Shower missing curtains!!! And holder support making it really hard to take a shower standing up without soaping the bathroom!!
Proximity to both Gare de L'Est and Gare du Nord as well as many good restaurants
10 euro er person for breakfast is a lot of money. we bought our own breakfast for the 4 days for less than the cost of 1 hotel breakfast
The Hotel rooms were nothing like the advertised pictures, The beds were infested with bed bugs. My husband was bitten so badly he needed medical attention. The shower was held up by a nail. The front desk staff were disinterested,The breakfast staff were just rude and unhelpful. The heat in the hotel was unbearable with the radiators making a loud noise all the time. If we could have left and not paid upfront we would have. Do not waste your money on this hotel.Needs to be reported to Health and Safety.
Room was quiet and large. One male staff member reset modem. Breakfast was simple but adequate.
Female staff were unhelpful and rude. I couldn't check in at 1400 despite this being the stated time. I had to wait until 1430 along with other people in a small room until I was told I could then check in. The same female staff member told me she didn't know why the wifi wasn't working. But later a male staff member just switched it off and on to fix the problem.
1.location very good when u go oi=ut from gar de lest metro by escalator thru exit 6 (straboug) u immediate find amiot on your left 2.wifi very good 3.reasonable price 4. suit for travellor not much stay at the room in the daytime
1. should have electronic kettle or hot water in the room or even in the lobby room when request
Can reach any part of Paris by taking metro which is in Amiot door steps
creepy elevator , but enough if u are roaming in the day and rest in night
Poor hotel higyene! Bed bugs have ruined my stay in Paris: I got badly bitten and have over 100 bites around my chin, arms and back. The hotel staff were sympathetic but yet unhelpful. I feel for the next guests. I would never go back to this hotel and would not recommend.
Location Price Wifi
Near Gare d'lest so it makes travelling intercity co convenient. Metro and bus station nearby. Breakfast was good as it was included in our room booking.
Lift until 5th Floor and we had to drag our luggage one floor to the 6th Floor. The lift is old and slow. The day before we check out the lift broke down and we saw some elderly people had to carry their luggage down.
Convenience to train
Great value for the money and location for Gare de L'Est was great.
Bedroom and lift a little small. Television controls had a problem
Location Staff Breakfast
Too old building Low signal wifi
The hotel is just nearby gare de l'est and gare du nord is just 15 mins away. The staff if friendly.
The soundproof system is low and easily awake by noise outside.
The hotel was central and within walking distance (7-8 mins) from Gare de Nord. It was also only about a 20 minute walk from Notre Dame, which, as keen walkers was good for us. Although we did not use it, there was a Metro station entrance right in front of the hotel. After a long day exploring there were plenty of bars and restaurants within yards of the hotel but be careful which ones you select,as for example a 500ml beer can cost as much as 11 Euros in one run of the mill place whereas a 500ml house wine is only about 7 Euros in another.
The hotel generally was a bit tired and badly in need of updating. The rooms, although clean, were a little on the dated and shabby side. When we arrived we had to ask for a toilet roll and then had to ask again a few days later. Also if you let the water out too fast from the sink it then came up through the drain plug in the shower!!! Breakfast was a bit of a crush but the selection meant that anyone could find something to eat.Pity about the behaviour of the (French) children on two days at breakfast but that was not a fault of the hotel. As it was essentially just a place to sleep for the night it was OK, but don't expect anything more than basic.
Location, Staff, Price
Didn't expect more for the price I paid.
Friendly staff, basic but adequate facilities, location so close to Gare de L'Est, small but useful lift, continental breakfast served by friendly staff, wifi, inexpensive
Poor wifi. Very small lift. Very tiny room. Tiny bathroom also
The location - near railway and cheap restaurants
The bed was like a hammock. Terrible! It must have been 20 years old at least. There was an inability to regulate the heater and we cooked. Ended up having to leave the window open which is not very 'green'. Hand held shower only - with a long curtain taking up most of the foot space in the bath Reception staff had no concept of keeping personal details secure and at 6pm booking in said they were ready to give our room to someone else. This was despite leaving our baggage there against our return.
Great location Good standards Great value
Plastic cover of mattress
very clean rooms (obviously small) and excellent location, great wi-fi signal!! staff speaks excellent English nd rooms are not noisy except you get one close to the lift
breakfast is fair but for the choice of food that is given is quite expensive. obviously you should expect a five star room
price & proximity to metro / train station
a bit shabby, but not too bad for a night or two.
- great location (metro+train station, food) - overall good value - friendly+competent staff
- overall rooms little bid "old-ish" (though everything works, nothing broken etc) - bathroom didn't look that great with all the pipes and not well-made plasterwork - if you offer wi-fi, would be great if it actually works well ;)
