A 10-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and a 5-minute walk from the Champs de Mars, Hôtel Tourisme Avenue is in central Paris. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and a 24-hour front...
Score from 1062 reviews Excellent
very clean rooms (obviously small) and excellent location, great wi-fi signal!! staff speaks excellent English nd rooms are not noisy except you get one close to the lift
breakfast is fair but for the choice of food that is given is quite expensive. obviously you should expect a five star room
price & proximity to metro / train station
a bit shabby, but not too bad for a night or two.
- great location (metro+train station, food) - overall good value - friendly+competent staff
- overall rooms little bid "old-ish" (though everything works, nothing broken etc) - bathroom didn't look that great with all the pipes and not well-made plasterwork - if you offer wi-fi, would be great if it actually works well ;)
Location is wonderful. Metro entrance is right there practically in front of the hotel door.
The building is old. Walls are then hence very noisy. I would not recommend to light sleepers. Breakfast for 10EURO is far too expensive. Hotel stull look sullen most of the time.
I came away covered in bites from bed bugs, a horrific experience. I will never book into a hotel like this again.
The breakfast is very poor... The neighbourhood of the hotel seemed to be pretty dangerous.
location 10 steps to metro, 5 mins walk from Eurostar gare de nord station 20 good bars and brasseries outside hotel so no need to travel anywhere at night
the hotel was very hot
Close to the Metro.
The lift is small and takes long
It seems it was value for the money I paid.
Didn't like the state of cleanliness. One of the bed we had in the room was broken. The attendants were barely forcing themselves to respond to us, like they were doing us a favour
right across Gare d Lest station,big bathroom
Noise you can here from other rooms. There is no good isolation between rooms. No wifi signal at the top floors.
location is convenient for transportation; a small supermarket nearby; 24hr welcome desk; bathtub; big safe; good housekeeping; wifi in room; good heating system; room equipments are very basic but essential and enough for a good stay;
elevator doesn't function very well; no hairdryer ( I brought my own ); stairs are not very convenient for walk;
The location even though had a problem with the initial booking but als well
- Clean room - Good location - Friendly Staff, receptionists know English - Free WiFi - If you like margarine and honey or jam you'll have plenty to eat.
- Room floor quite old - Poor sound isolation of the room door - Room had a view of the inner building circle, smells from restaurant nearby were sometimes quite strong - Included breakfast was repetitive. Every day the same selection which wasn't very broad.
very near to Gare de nord. Metro just out of the Door step. The reception Man was a MAN FRIDAY for us. He probably knows everything about paris.
wifi staff ont helpful cleaning
The lift is very small. Only for two preople
quiet room, clean, comfortable, good location, wifi and tv, multilingual staff - all ok, felt safe and cosy
toilet flush needed some fixing bathroom door handle broken
Location is good: in front of Gare de Est. There was yogurt and fresh fruits in the breakfast...but
I asked for a quiet room and they put us in a room in the back: good! But being in the back meant that the entire room smells kitchen's oil, because of the restaurants in the ground floor. All smell of fried food and oils dominated the room. I got nauseas. Remote control of tv didn't work even if they tried to give me others than I gave up, because the TV was very small. There wasn't coffee amenities. My husband hated the breakfast because it didn't have eggs, ham, bacon neighter cheese. He will never return to this hotel again.
It is very cheap for a Paris hotel. Its location is excellent. The day manager was excellent- helpful and very friendly.
But the floors slope, the road noise is incredibly loud, the beds are poor. The rooms were stuffy and the bathrooms smelt AND they stuffed our booking. The room was not the one we booked - a small 3 bed room made even more cramped by putting in another bed! NO compensation for this - just the pleasure of repacking to move to the room we had booked the next day. OBviously the management chases money and will ignore bookings
Bath is located and built in very dangerous space for safe using.
This was only a 1 night stay, but suited all our needs. The hotel is right outside the Gar De Lest' and easy to spot right on the intersection. Good to catch trains from to anywhere around Paris, we stayed on the subway line #7 (pink). Staying on 6th floor lovely view!! Lift is very tiny-3ppl max. Complimentary Breakfast was great and kept us full all day, waitresses there were very helpful! Very good stay, seemed nice and clean, would recommend to others! If you are wanting to catch a hop on hop off bus from here, get the green bus ( not too sure of company name) not the 'big red bus', as the joining point for this tour is a few subway stops away at opera. Just a suggestion to fellow travellers!!
Nothing to report.
The staff was nice, the location is very convenient (just opposite the gare de l'Est).There are nice restaurants near at hand.
It's a bit expensive as the comfort is o.k but could be improved.
