L'Anéva  

It was very conveniently located in intramuros area of St Malo so was near to all sights and eating places as well as being within walking distance of the ferry port. The room was small but comfortable with a good shower.

There are thin walls and so you can hear people in neighbouring rooms very easily.

Good location in the heart of the old city. The staff were freindly and helpful.

The rooms were dirty and very worn out. No toilet in the rooms, shared one on the landing. Lights on landing on a very short timer.

After reading reviews of the L'Aneva I am afraid to say that we feared the worst as we embarked for our 1 night bar tour. I am delighted to say that the hotel was an excellent value for money purchase. The bar/restaurant is very nice and offers food all day round. The rooms were basic, but were clean and suited a stay in St Malo, which is not a town that requires you to spend much time in your hotel. No frilly edges, but for the price paid was excellent, plus the 'shared toilet's' are not anywhere near as bad as you would expect!

The double beds are so small that your feet stick out the end if you are less than 5ft 9. Not much natural light in our rooms. Shower almost flooded due to bad drainage. Not much noise reduction in walls.

In a very pretty setting within the walls of St Malo, with a comfortable bar area. They were very accommodating and let us put our 5 bikes in the laundry room, for safety overnight.

The doors were noisy shutting and the staff came around hoovering while I was still in bed and even opened my door twice. Also most of the rooms had to use a toilet down the corridor.

I love the location, being able to pop out to the main wall of the little town and wander to the sea was fabulous.

The walls of the hotel are so thin I could hear every word of the occupants next door and unfortunately I heard there amorous activities. The shower wasn't that clean. The bed had huge lumps and seemed to have sunk in one corner. All in all I don't think I would be convinced to stay again.

Owner was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

The toilet was seperate from the room. This was on the booking form but I could not see this information on the site. It didn,t make much difference to the stay. Our travel companion had a noisy neighbour who had either tT.V. or radio on loudly both nights,

Les chambres sont vieilles et mal isolées

Très bonne situation géographique avec un accueil très sympathique.de très bons conseils pour découvrir la ville.

Literie très moyenne (beaucoup trop mou). Isolation phonique très moyenne (réveillée à 2 heures du matin par un ohé matelot chanté par une personne probablement fort imbibé...et pas par l'air du large!!!). Mais malgré cela ,cet hotel m'a laissé une impression agréable.

Hotel très bien situé.

Endroit très bruyant : chambre directement au-dessus du bar/restaurant et espaces communs (toilettes) mal isolés.

La toilette sur le palier est dans un sale etat, meme tres sale.
