I did not stay at the Anne de Bretagne even though that was my original booking. You had some safety problem and you rebooked me at the France et Chateaubriand hotel, and all my comments relate to that hotel

Clean and reasonably priced. Also an excellent location for a one night stop over before boarding the ferry. The main building and its surrounds are quiet at night. The annex building, where I have stayed previously, can be a bit noisy at night.

Location was just what we needed. Garage to keep bikes safe at night. The room looked damp. But we wanted a cheap overnight stay so we did not mind.

I have a bad back and cant walk upstairs very well, I was put in the hotel with no lift, so I was not very happy.also I was charged for 2 double bedrooms, the breakfast was ok, but when we came in the room all the tables were full of dirty crockery and we had to clear a table ourselves before we could eat.

Location Garage facilities, I was on a motorcycle and had to park outside the city walls one night because someone in a very large 4x4 wanted to park in the garage and made a lot of fuss about it. Not the best place to park a bike outside, overnight when it should have been able to be park in a secure place. Then it got covered in birds poo. The room was very small for the price, dim lighting and did not look particulary clean due to the dim light and dull decor, tv was a waste of time positioned where it was. Breakfast was meagre. I would stay there again but I now know what to expect.

Very friendly hotel staff after a long trip. The hotel was at the top end of what you would expect for 2* and a big clean bathroom with plenty of hot water was a welcome sight after a long journey.

Excellent location inside the walled city. Limited parking, although this is a problem throughout St.Malo. The room was very simple & looked a bit tired. However, it was pretty much what I expected.

Hotel is convenient for the central attractions of the walled city of St malo. Very much ideal for a one night stopover. The hotel is very well situated for centre of town but therefore extremely noisy at night. In general this is an old style hotel which has been updated enough to make it acceptable to a 21st century traveller, but only just.

The hotel was in a convenient location for visiting St Malo being in the middle of the Old Town. Small basic room. Shower cubical small and water flow poor, Shower room had black mold patches on the walls. All generally tatty and in need of refurbishment but clean. No car parking and no information given by the hotel where one should park which is essential information for those visiting St Malo for the fire time. There is very little street parking in the old town. Some Hotels have off-street parking but this is very limited and can't be booked. However there is extensive parking outside the city walls which is reasonably cheap and secure.

The hotel was pleasant and in an excellent location. The room was a good size and perfect for my family. The staff also speak excellent English. Probably better not to stay here with a car -- not because of the hotel but because of the one way system in Saint Malo. No complaints about the hotel itself.

It is very well located "intra muros", inside the old city walls. The room was clean and had a good acustic isolation, lcd tv, good enough for the €70 we paid. They have a garage that can support up to 4 cars (so it's better to reserve it previously). The room is really small, but that was not a problem. The cost of the garage and the breakfast was a bit expensive in my opinion (€15 for the garage and €8/person at the breakfast, elevating the cost of the night from €70 to €106 for a couple). In case I stay for more than 1 night at another moment I will let the car parked outside of the walls. The breakfast could have some more things like ham or salami, it was a bit poor for €8 (almost the same thing as the €4 Etap ones, but with some fruits).

Quiet, attractive and convenient location. Twin-bedded room only allowed for narrow beds -- not too comfortable. However, this is not a major complaint.

The staff on the desk were really friendly and helpful and the room was lovely. it was at the top as I asked for a quiet room and had lovely views over the streets. The hotel is very central in the old town. We especially appreciated the facility of a garage locked overnight to put our tandem in. (it takes cars too). The buffet breakfast was not the best we had in Brittany, although adequate. It was not included in the room cost. Some hard cheese or eggs would be nice and the coffee/chocolate was from a machine.

“It has a very central location, with secure parking a short walk from the hotel - ideal for those who are en route into/out of France with a car full of belongings. The location is also ideal for shopping, visiting the old town, walking around the town walls, and for the beach. The rooms are neat and well designed, the welcome was warm, and breakfast (included in our stay) was a very good, continental selection of food. The rooms are over several floors, but there is a (very small) lift.” Janet, Nottingham |
