Convenient location, helpful staff, large family room (wife and I had 2 grandchildren with us), excellent breakfast

Decor of staircase and bathroom could do with upgrading.

First place was ok but loved the next night at hotel d'cite Breakfast good and wifi great

Found the smell difficult to cope with

I have a bad back and cant walk upstairs very well, I was put in the hotel with no lift, so I was not very happy.also I was charged for 2 double bedrooms, the breakfast was ok, but when we came in the room all the tables were full of dirty crockery and we had to clear a table ourselves before we could eat.

Very friendly hotel staff after a long trip. The hotel was at the top end of what you would expect for 2* and a big clean bathroom with plenty of hot water was a welcome sight after a long journey.

Hotel is situated right in the town. Very convienient.

No refreshments in room. Asked for wake up call which never came.

Excellent location inside the walled city.

Limited parking, although this is a problem throughout St.Malo. The room was very simple & looked a bit tired. However, it was pretty much what I expected.

Hotel is convenient for the central attractions of the walled city of St malo. Very much ideal for a one night stopover.

The hotel is very well situated for centre of town but therefore extremely noisy at night. In general this is an old style hotel which has been updated enough to make it acceptable to a 21st century traveller, but only just.

The hotel was pleasant and in an excellent location. The room was a good size and perfect for my family. The staff also speak excellent English.

Probably better not to stay here with a car -- not because of the hotel but because of the one way system in Saint Malo. No complaints about the hotel itself.

The convenience to seaside and shopping and restaurants and bistros and within the walled city

It is very well located "intra muros", inside the old city walls. The room was clean and had a good acustic isolation, lcd tv, good enough for the €70 we paid. They have a garage that can support up to 4 cars (so it's better to reserve it previously).

The room is really small, but that was not a problem. The cost of the garage and the breakfast was a bit expensive in my opinion (€15 for the garage and €8/person at the breakfast, elevating the cost of the night from €70 to €106 for a couple). In case I stay for more than 1 night at another moment I will let the car parked outside of the walls. The breakfast could have some more things like ham or salami, it was a bit poor for €8 (almost the same thing as the €4 Etap ones, but with some fruits).

The staff on the desk were really friendly and helpful and the room was lovely. it was at the top as I asked for a quiet room and had lovely views over the streets. The hotel is very central in the old town. We especially appreciated the facility of a garage locked overnight to put our tandem in. (it takes cars too).

The buffet breakfast was not the best we had in Brittany, although adequate. It was not included in the room cost. Some hard cheese or eggs would be nice and the coffee/chocolate was from a machine.
