BREAKFAST VERY GOOD ON OUR TRIP OVER HAD A VERY GOOD TRIP
What i liked most was a member of Staff Bruno (Recepcionist), he provide me loads of information about St. Malo and what to do while i was their. A good value to the hotel..
Proximity to historic sights. Availability of good restaurants
Room was basic but adequate
location, value for money you get what you pay for
It's quite basic but great value for money and right in the middle of the old town.
St Malo can be quite noisy and you can be disturbed very early in the morning. That's not the hotel, it's the old town.
Room was £39 for two of us for the night. It was in an annexe building, which was quite run down, the room was smelly, mainly from the bathroom. No hair dryer and there was a dripping sound ALL night. Breakfast was offered but didn't start early enough if you were on the 8 am ferry.
Location and has a garage
First room small, dirty, bathroom light did not work. Changed room, very noisy during the night. Bath dirty. Mattress springs lumpy. Holes in wall
Situation. Convenient for a short stay, not far from station where I was heading the next morning having arrived from Jersey
Location and breakfast was ok.
Bedroom was dated and smelt of wet dog. Bad sound insulation from upstairs was woken early by people walking about up stairs. WC moved when sat on Shower was a joke, broken with poor flow, they couldn't even be bothered to provide a bracket for shower head to fix to. Staff upon arrival were short tempered and rude, had to explain three times that I had booked on line.
location is good but the downside is the noise from the streets .the staff are fine.
no air conditioning. noise from streets.
It's well situated, just inside the Intra Muros part of St Malo and near bus stops. It's in a quiet side street.
It advertised "WiFi in all rooms", but when I sought to connect I was asked for a code. I went to reception and was told that "because of a technical fault" they were unable to provide codes. I said - "so there's no WiFI?" The reply was: "there is, but you can't connect..." This may have been rectified in the meantime. Anyway, there were two computers in the reception area, one of them out of order, the other functioning.
The location is excellent 2mins from all the shops ,restaurants 5min drive from ferryport .The hotel is very clean well looked after, young boy on desk was very polite.
Nothing to dislike about hotel
Proximity. Intramuros is best when you're planning to have a drink or two in the evening so the walk from any restaurant/pub was 2-5 minutes Small price compared to the other hotels. Nice staff.
Poor wi-fi connection (but to be fair in France only some pubs had a good connection, hotels not so much) so don't expect to send files/ work from there. The parking is a garage for 3/4 cars, we reserved it but it was not available and you cannot unload luggages blocking the street.... The bed was as big as the room and the bed was not that big. ;) It was a challenge to open up the large luggage We had no remote control - we had to go to reception to get one
Staff were nice and helpful
Our room was a huge deception. We often visit Saint Malo and our favourite hotel was fully booked. This hotel was more expensive and should not have been. The shower was uncleen, the carpet stained, bedsheets had holes in them....
Pleasant staff, good location, price, breakfast value
Location was great. Warm welcome at reception. Large 3 bedded room. Slight dated and showing signs of wear and tear but clean but was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The double glazing kept the room very quiet at night. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
No air con. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Comfy rooms and delicious breakfast. Staff v helpful.
The garage parking was tricky.
Great location, good value for money, very friendly staff
Could use a bit of a facelift
That you could walk to restaurants and shops.
Rooms, small and uncomfortable. Needs lots of maintenance, paint coming off walls etc. breakfast very poor for extra 8euros, no ham, cheese or orange juice, tea disgusting. Not child friendly and hard to find location. Parking a nightmare.
Got a good deal. Plenty of space with a huge bathroom. Excellent location.
Wiring and fittings need attention. Personally I found bed uncomfortable. Mould in bathroom and blocked drainage in bath.
Shower was nice and hot. Breakfast room and food looked nice but we had to leave early to get our boat so were unable to sample the food. Staff were very nice.
Room very small and in need of decoration. Very noisy at night sounded like a train passing through the room when people in rooms above flushed toilets. Neither of us had any sleep as this seemed to go on all night.
The location was good and was not too noisy compared to some places you can stay within the walls of St Malo
Had to get the key re-set so I could access our room twice. Tables were not cleaned up very quickly after other guests had eaten their breakfast
the rooms and beds were comfortable in this hotel which was right next to the pedestrian shopping district close to numerous restaurants.
Driving to the hotel as needed help of 1 passerby, 3 policemen and a shop assistant. The town is full of one way streets and pedestrian only areas. Sat Nav didnt help as only way to the hotel is to hug the city walls almost all the way round
I paid through booking.com and I was then charged in July when I stayed also paying for breakfast I didn't have but was refused refund as I had just settled the bill?
