Mercure Paris Terminus Nord is across from Gare du Nord Train and Metro Station in central Paris.
Score from 3606 reviews Good
A well maintained, unpretentious hotel in an excellent location. Close to Metro Vavin or Montparnasse Bienvenue. The rooms are on the small side, but this is normal for Paris. Good breakfast available. The staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful (this is not true for so many Parisian hotels!). I will certainly use this hotel again.
Staff are polite and helpfull, location perfect. We really enjoy stay there. Definetelly will use this hotel again . Thank you!
It is very conveniently situated for the Gare de Montparnasse. Breakfast is good.
Our room was slightly (only slightly) shabby. The bathroom door did not shut properly, let alone lock.
Helpful, friendly man at reception
Not enough healthy choices for breakfast.
Staff was really friendly and polite Rooms were clean and quiet Wifi was good Great location Good value for money
The latest checkout was at 12.00
the powerful showers
Fire alarm went on and we didn't know why.
Location close to metro. Space is above average for France three star. Wifi signal was excellent by local standards.
First room's bathroom reeked of dirty body odor. Second room had symbolic air conditioning which failed to cool the room and required sleeping with windows open. Hotel interior and utilities require serious renovation.
We scored a hit with this hotel which we booked online. Having heard star ratings in Paris tend to be higher than their equivalent in some other cities I wasn't expecting a lot, so was very pleasantly surprised. Very clean, great bathroom, super comfy beds, breakfast was fresh and plentiful- a large pot of Earl Grey tea was easily procured. We enjoy walking so found it easy to walk to the Seine and various points of interest located there, but the Metro is so close to the hotel a two year old could walk there. Plenty of cafes and restaurants all around Staff were always welcoming and helpful. We got a special 3-night deal which suited our budget and were pleased to feel we were staying in the centre of Paris. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Really good staff, the location is perfect! Close to metro, bus, places to eat and shopping!! The room is small but since we didn't spend much time on it, it was not a problem!
The only thing that could be improved is the breakfast. For 9,50 euros, there are no ham or other meet... Just coffee, croissant, cheese and teas!
Well located, relatively quiet, clean.
Room a bit small.
loction is the best. Very kind and friendly staff and also Full breakfast and really delicious. we had nice day and night.thank u for every thig
Very good location!
At first night our room was near noisy elevator. But we were able to change our room for the next two nights. We were wondering at breakfast every morning why it was so hard to get another cup of coffee.
I liked everything about the hotel since I have been a faithful client in the last 6 years, except for what I have written on the right side of this questionnaire, that is, that my request for a room with a shower instead of a bathtub, was rejected.
I requested a change of room when I entered and saw that the bathroom had a bathtub instead of a shower. I am partially handicapped by a spine problem which obliges me to use a cane when I walk. It is therefore extremely difficult for me to negotiate getting into and out of a bathtub especially since in this case it was positioned in the bathroom in a very awkward way, obliging me to get in and out of the tub from the short end which was slanted, instead of the long side of the tub, which could have resulted in a serious accident in case I slipped. I was told to wait till the next day but regrettably my request was then rejected.
Quiet room and friendly staff.
Good area for Metro and train connections yet bit of a walk to main sights. Staff helpful & friendly. Great crepe restaurants on nearby street. Internet service excellent.
Room small with awkward doors for entry, toilet and shower areas. Air conditioning didn't work on the the final night.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had travelled over night and they allowed us to book in to our room early. The hotel doors were open 24hrs a day.
There could have been a little more varied choice for breakfast, with a few more cereal options such as meusli etc. but on the whole this was very good as well.
Very friendly and helpful staff -- great location
Clean, great staff, very comfortable.
I had a room over the street in front of the hotel,- very, very noisy. I would make sure I got a room off the street if I ever stayed there again. That was my only negative comment on the place. Otherwise,- great place!
Friendly staff, good location close to metro station, stores and restaurants. The room was very simple, but basic clean.
The breakfast choice is minimal. For 10 euro you find a better breakfast around the corner. WiFi signal is poor and instabile.
Location it's a lovely area
Rooms are a bit small but it would not put us off going again
Great location - within walking distance of 2 metro stops. Several restaurants and cafes close by. Room was small but clean and had everything you needed.
Little gem in the city, location excellent, very close to 2 metro stops and easy walk to RER for airport. plenty of bars and restaurants in area but hotel on quiet street so not noisy. Didn't try the breakfast as lovely cafés around corner. Room was small and bathroom needed some TLC but it was clean and warm and bed very comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely return and highly recommend for value for money.
Hand held shower over bath and no shower curtain so water went everywhere.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet room at the back. Bath as well as shower. Superb location.
great location, 2 metro stations nearby. Rooms small, but it's ok for Paris. Helpful staff
Very convenient location: 50m to the metro, tons of restaurants/bars pretty much at the doorstep, yet my room had the window into the courtyard and there was no street noise whatsoever. Unusually (for Paris) clean bathroom. The room was small but perhaps a bit larger than typical for central Paris -- at least I could walk around the bed. There is a lift. Wi-fi in the room was fast. Value for money is ok if you get it for under €100.
The cleaning staff appeared very rude -- they knock on your door every morning around 10am to let you know they are there to service the room, and you can't just ignore it -- they would keep knocking until you open the door and say hi. I guess their logic is that you are supposed to get out immediately to let them do their work so that they can go home early. They slam the doors quite heavily when servicing other rooms around, as if to add the incentive to have you out asap. Should not be a problem if you are an early bird though. The additional annoying bit is that after all the insistance the cleaning itself is disappointing -- lots of dust left on the floor. The price they post of around €170 is insane.
