Having the kitchenette saved us money on meals Comfortable bed Quiet
Toilet door right beside kitchen facilities Difficult to find parking on the street outside No reception staff after 8 pm, so we had to ask another guest to phone for us (as I didn't have network coverage in France)
The secure parking
No staff on site whilst we were there, no air conditioning or even a fan. Hated the shared balcony and walls paper thin, so noisy neighbours kept us up most of the night.
Clean and tidy. Good to have own cooking facilities. Long beds.
Stayed in summer, so it was a hot room with a very hot bathroom. Narrow beds.
The room was dirty and the door of the shower was broken so there was water all over the bathroom floor
Good-sized apartment. Very handy to have a kitchenette when you have young children. Large bathroom.
We arrived on one of the hottest days of the year (!) and the apartment was baking hot. There was no air conditioning, and we couldn't open the doors or windows as we were on the ground floor, so night-times were very uncomfortable. Also, we happened to be very lucky when we arrived as we saw a sign to the apartments on our arrival in Lille. Otherwise, we would have struggled to find it as the Reception at Appart-City hadn't provided us with directions despite emailing them several times.
Clean basic accommodation that was good value for money. Would not wish to stay more than a couple of nights as room would be too claustrophobic. Staff helpful when we did not arrive within reception hours due to travel delays, Secure underground parking good value (Around 5 euros)
Nothing to report
Big airy room, comfortable bed, location
No kettle in the kitchen
Bag storage facility after we checked out. Close to metro.
Limited kitchen utencils. Shower was not sealing properly, resulting in wet bathmats and floor. No windows to open at night only communial patio doors.
easy to find, value, clean bedding
basic comfort, noisy, no air conditioning
I could leave after one night.
Terrible! The bathroom was a collection of mould and rust, the shower spilled more water on the floor then on me. The room was steaming hot because of all the glass, and you could not open any window. Carpets were filthy. Staff is very unfriendly. I had to pay to store my luggage.
We liked the fact we had the facilities to prepare food and drinks for our selves.
Our accomodatiib did quite match up to the photos on the site. Could do with some updating.
Close to the Grand Palaise Lille.
The shower was extremely good and the apartment was very clean. It was good value for money.
I hated the view of the foliage and the perspex cladding on the back of the building that is there to screen you from motorway noise and the television didn't work. However this isn't a complaint. For the money I paid, it was very good value.
Carpet was filthy.
The bedroom was nice! Location - very close to subway station, walking distance to city centre aprox 0.5 h! Price/quality OK!
We arrived after 21:00 and nobody was in the reception! We called a number displayed on the hotel door and they came after 20 min and bring the keys! The bathroom is old! No hair dryer! No Wi-Fi (too poor to connect) in the room - only in the reception was good!
The location and rooms
They need to employe a receptionist that can speak English and French fluently so she can understand the need of customer.senconly during the summer the rooms need fans please.
Big bed, all necessities in place. Good value for money
No window- only an openable door to a balcony shared with other guests which I couldn't open at night so no access to fresh air. Terrible in the summer. Also, the floor was not hoovered
The hotel was relatively close to the conference center
Where to start? I'll go chronologically. The reception, which was supposed to have been open at the time I arrived (early afternoon), was in fact closed (this was not in any way mentioned when we made our reservations), forcing me to wait for an hour and a half outside the building for it to open. Almost an hour later, when they had finally gotten through admitting the less than 10 guests in front of me in line (who had been waiting like me), I went up to the room I had received the key to, only to discover that it was not yet ready. I had to go back and ask for another. The room I eventually ended up in was not particularly clean. Its window was on a side of the hotel which faces a highway access ramp, a busy road. Accordingly, that side is protected by a transparent screen, which while doing a good job of insulating the noise, also traps all smells inside, in particular those from the kitchen, and conveys them into the rooms. INTERNET ACCESS: When we made our reservations, the hotel advertised it offered WIRED (not wireless) internet in the rooms at no additional charge. When we arrived, due to a change of policy after we reserved, we were charged for the internet after all. Even though the charge was not high (only 5 EUR per person), it took 2 days and a consultation with the manager to receive a refund. MUCH WORSE is the fact that the internet did not always work, and during the entire last evening of our stay did not work at all. There was no wireless to speak of. The fact that they charge for this low level of service is frankly outrageous. The room was generally stifling hot. The morning after the first night, my roommate (who had joined me after my arrival) and I discovered a panel to control the air conditioning system, which was however only marked in French. When we asked the girl at reception what the markings meant and how to turn off the heating, the only response we got was "you don't touch this".
Cost was lower than hotels in Lille.
It was hard to find, hidden away behind other apartments and what seemed to be a business area.
Location is not so central and there is no shops or restaurants around
We stayed in this appart'hotel for three nights. During this period of time our room was never cleaned and we never got clean towels. This place is not a safe place to stay because there is no night reception and you do not need a key to enter but a code. Occasionally found people wondering around inside the main building. They would ask for spare change, cigarettes or to use your phone. These people come in because they know the password or came after somebody open the door. We saw two people who rented an appart'hotel having problems. On both cases they should have been sent a password to open the safe from the reception and retrieve the key to the apartment. They have to call an emergency number as there was nobody from the reception and in both cases that number did not work. Both customers had a waiting time of more than three hours. This happened after 22h00. On one occasion one of the keys was in an envelope but there was no number written on it so the customer did not know which door it was his apartment. He decided to try one door and it opened but there was another customer inside. That key he had could not open his door but others too!! He was on the phone for over an hour on a queue and the person who answer in the end could not speak English. This was disgraceful and stressful for the customer. Don't have breakfast here. It is 10 euros!! If you don't put your rubbish down they charge you extra, if you want wifi you have to pay one euro a day,... we found a used condom under our bed... If you want somewhere quiet this can be your place... If you understands quiet means coming out of the place and seeing nobody at all on the streets. No bar, no cafe, no restaurant, no cinema,... City centre is too far to walk and no direct transport. If you understand for quiet a place you an rest, this is not the place for you. There is a noisy motorway at the back. Ask for a room facing the other side.
Value for money.
Shower spread water over the floor. Care was needed so as to not flood the bathroom.
Very close to supermarket, quiet neighbourhood. Good to come back in the night. Close enough to the main square, though not really walkable in my opinion
Not very spacious apartment, but we booked very last minute, so it was expected. However the place had no character... no design... just bare basic bones hotel. The kitchen was really just a small slab. Two dishes on the stove was all you had space for. Somehow every evening we came back the room was smelly. Thankfully we had good weather so could keep doors open. Also you had to pick up the garbage yourself, clean the kitchen perfectly yourself (else extra charge), extra costs for parking, extra costs for Wi-Fi (which didnt work anyway). Overall, not a place I would recommend.
Very easy to find. Well situated for town centre.
Reception wasn't manned 24 hrs like the one in toulouse. Weekends closed at 7pm.
Had two rooms, and was not too far from town.
Smelt of cigarette smoke.
Kitchenette and tv
Late check out was expensive
