Hotel was no frills and great if you intend to spend most of your time out and about.
The location is quite run down but the people are friendly and the Metro is a couple of minutes up the road. It's not far out from the main part of Marsielle and once used to the transportation is an OK location.
The room was very nice and comfortable (we love it) the staff of reception and the security staff (Andre) were very kind and helpful. Hotel was near to the metro station about (250m) and only 4 station from the railways station. From the airport to the hotel the transportation was easy about 45min
The area of the hotel has not any interesting to visit. First and second day we felt uncomfortable with the area when we walking to the metro station, but after we use it, we just realized that there only differences because there are people from other culture that s all. For the hotel we didn't like that we stay 5 days and the y don't clean the room and they don't change the towels
9/10 possibility of being shot before I get to the hotel
I liked being self contained and able to cook for myself but you could buy breakfast. very clean and comfortable bed. metro 5 mins walk and short ride to city
area not so interesting as it is being redeveloped so few restaurants nearby
Value for money, clean
Location, no free wifi in room
I was arrived at hotel at 3pm for a check in ..there were 5 people wainting for a check in...I finished my registration and I received my key 90 minutes later...in the desk 1 employe was working and the 2th was watching the first... Thanks stefano
The security guy who helped us out.
The area is very bad (this is why they need security personnel). The wi-fi is fairly working near the reception, but not in the rooms. Most of the receptionists were not speaking English (just one of them who worked in the morning actually was). The air-conditioner was out of order, and they did not offer a solution, or refund. You cannot park a motorbike outside and the hotel charges 4.50Euro/night for leaving the motorbike in the car-park.
Good quality Bed Reasonable air conditioning Good lighting Reasonable TV Reasonable and clean all around
Shower tray needed repairs Receptionists could have spoken better English Additional lift could have been built in - it was out of order one night
Very comfortable and clean
Each time we walked past reception, there was a long line of people. We waited 43 minutes to check in, which is not acceptable. No wifi boxes were available so we could not have wifi in the room.
the kitchen, the room is clean
without cleaning rooms (including the waste basket)
Ok location, a bit far from the city though and a lot of construction work happening so a bit scary at night, lovely and helpful staff, modern and new building, very secure and safe, very good parking underneath the building.
Breakfast was stale and no fruit or yoghurt the second day, location a bit scary to walk around at night, the shower curtain was very very mouldy and made the whole room smell like mushrooms, air con wasn't working and no wifi in the rooms, only in reception.
Even after a stockpiling of bad luck the staff stayed very friendly and did everything they could for us. Everything resolved excellent for us and we enjoyed our stay in a spacious, clean room with a lovely sight over the city. By tram the trip to the city center is swift. Breakfast was good, especially for France. Fine parking facilities.
The rooms were clean, comfortable, the hotel had all you need all round, staff was OK and generally don't expect luxury, but the hotel is one of the best budget hotels you can find in the city if you don't mind the area.
The area around is dangerous in the night. For your peace of mind, you should have a car and store it in a private parking for extra money. That small difference in the price, will get you a decent hotel in a much safer area and for us, it would have been worth it.
Dryer was defective.
Clean and simple rooms
Location really is terrible, dodgy area.. You have to clean the kitchen and empty the bins yourself before you check out, towels/linen not changed during our two night stay
Location was very very very terrible
big room+bathroom very clean kitchen great value
on arrival reception wants you to sign a 2 page contract in tiny letters + in FRENCH - no english version available - no idea what the contract is about... we could use our room without signing it. weird hidden cost: didnt clean the kitchen-> pay 25€ didnt deposit your garbage bag from the appartment-> 20€
Love the 5th floor.Room 506.Will return, same room please.
No English TV channels.
This hotel was well located, close to metro station and shops. Staff were friendly and were speaking English very well. Buffet breakfast was worth it for 9.5 euro. Our studio was well furnished. Bathroom was very clean.
Sheets were not clean. There were hairs in there, though this isn't the first hotel I see this! There were stains on the floor (don't know what it was but we didn't care) Watch out, because this is a self-catering hotel which means you have to clean your kitchen, empty your trash bin, etc. before you leave. Otherwise, you'll be fined with 40 euro!
Very nice to have a personal kitchen and bathroom!
5 minutes from the metro station
I asked for a double size bed but I got a two single beds room. You need to clean the trash bin and kitchen by yourselves or you need to pay a lot and this point did not been mentioned before booking. The staff is a bit cold. And this is the first time that I made the booking via booking.com but they didn't reserve a room for me!
Unclean rooms and the building, broken elevator. The real image of the comfort is in contrast with the displayed. Not recommended.
