Location, size of the room, comfort, cleanliness.
Hotel location was excellent. Breakfast buffet and staff terrific. The hotel security was very good and appreciated.
It appeared our room was not complete. The microwave oven cord barely was able to reach the outlet. The TV that was to be mounted opposite the bed had not been installed yet. I felt the hotel was overpriced considering the amenities were not complete.
Location, kitchen facilities,
No cleaning supplies for kitchen, light from with window
The space in the apartment, the hot shower, the comfortable bed, the compact kitchen, the use of the swimming pool, the balcony. Odalys is near the shops and public transport and lovely areas for walks.
I would have liked to have a chair and table on the balcony. The coffee machine was stained with old coffee so it wasn't possible to make good coffee. A glass plunger would be a better option for the coffee.
Great position near the tram station and a big shopping center.Good furniture and stuff, Lyon great city to leave.
Everything. The place is fantastic, from the competent reception staff, the extra beds for children to the free swimming pool. The room design is superb. The Italian restaurant is top. Reasonable price and great food too. Breakfast was terrific.
My stay the following weekend in the nearby Novotel.
lack of local maps, information about city, and not having a bigger sharp knife in the kitchen
Was a lovely place to stay...staff very friendly and helpful...restaurant was great and breakfast was good....on site laundry a bonus when we had been travelling for awhile....
Very good location and a now hotel with new facilities
No AC, which in summer would be a problem
Off street parking and walking distance to the old town centre
Pool was closed
Pool was a nice change. Spacious room which you could easily stay for a while. Told to far to old city to walk, but we did without any trouble both days. Admitted it adds about 20mins onto trip each end, but no real problem.
Elevator breaking down, we were on 8th floor. Some staff had very little English which made it difficult, but they did try and help. Kitchenette with cutlery etc provided, but no plug, detergent or tea towel.
- Size of room - Free Wi-Fi
- The bed was so small that our feet hung off the end (I am 5ft6 - so not that tall!) - Only 1x pillow each - Loud construction noises coming from either floor above us or below us at 8am each morning - staff were always too busy doing something else when you needed to speak to them at reception
this hotel nearby the shopping mall (cofleunce) and the boat stop. The receptionist is very helpful and kind to solve my problems and to give some directions for the sightseeings. I liked here. Easy accessing to the citycenter.
The location of this apartment was excellent, situated near the SNCF main station and near the large Confluence shopping and leisure centre. The tram system was close by and connected to the metro so it was easy to get to the old city. We were not troubled by the proximity of the railway line. The apartment was modern and well appointed and the underground secure parking was good value at 10 Euros per day
The restaurant was only open on one of the 3 days we were there
Was a small apartment rather than a hotel room- very good staff, breakfast was expensive but good.
New building but very cheaply built- toilet roll holder falling off wall, etc. very noisy due to construction nearby but no air conditioning so if you close the windows for quiet it was very hot. Lift was out at one point, but fixed quickly.
Good location. Close to tram and train.h
Kitchen facilities were basic. Requested that kitchen be left clean but nothing to clean with.
Slightly out of town (but with good shopping nearby) but enjoyed the short river trip to the old town and loved the atmosphere in the old town itself. Enjoyed the pool, though it is a little small.
A little cramped when the sofa bed was out. Lacking in storage space
Good cooking facilities, except no cleaning up equipment provided. Good access to transport and new area with great architecture.
Passive heating/ cooling is not comfortable. Trains going past wouldn't be a problem if you didn't have to sleep with the doors open. Parking limited and not available for our stay.
Room as shown in photos. Spacious with new furniture and a portable fan. Nice small balcony. Bathroom in excellent condition. They clean it every day (collect rubbish and provide towels, soaps and toilet paper). Well equipped kitchenette (but you have to buy a sponge and dishwash liquid). Microwave oven with grill. Helpfull and kind staff. Good quiet location with good transportation and many shops nearby. Very close to the Confluence mall (with a Carrefour supermarket - Open in Sundays). There is also a minimarket (near the Suchet tram station) that is open until late.
There was not really something we disliked
Bed a bit small. No washing up liquid or brush to do the dishes. No tea towel either. Shower leaks water all over bathroom floor.
everyday cleaning and changing towels, staff was very helpful, nice swimming pool, good location to tram 1 and vaporetto stop to center, also big shopping center close with good food shop and many different eating places, nice new area, many new buildings with innovative interesting facade materials. Room was also quite nice but no air conditioner but it was still okay. There was terrace in our room.
elevator was broken, taxi to airport is quite expensive. Hotel would be more appealing if they will offer also some terrace furniture to eat outside room. Little far from conference center but manageable, takes around 35 - 45 minutes get to conference center by city transport.
A short walk from Gare Perrace, this hotel afforded a generally quiet and safe place to stay. We don't' speak French but all the front desk staff speak English so that was a great help. They made reservations for us and helped us navigate the city.
No air conditioning made for some pretty warm days and nights during our August visit. Kitchen was well supplied but no means of washing up after a meal.
Rooms size, furniture good shape. It is modern and staff quality attention.
My bed was a little uncomfortable (somewhat hard) and they insist (many times) to clean the dishes you use but not provided sponge/ soap or something to do it.
Nice size modern room with convenient self-catering facilities (hob, kettle, microwave, coffee maker, fridge with small freezer compartment - no cleaning cloths or products or cooking fat etc). Pool was nice but small so could get busy, only open from 10am.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the lack of air-conditioning meant it felt a bit stuffy but it wasn't too bad (this is August in high 20s) and a standing electric fan was provided. The location was very convenient but in parts a bit run down and felt slightly dodgy walking back to it at night - nothing happened though and we had a good stay.
There was no air conditioning, wasnt given an explanation as to why it was not working- no fan s provided
