Tours is a nice walkable city. The 'old town' is picturesque and the more modern side has lots of shops. Lots of bars, cafes and restaurants to choose from. There are lots of tourist attractions including gthe cathedral of course. Also there is a large tourist office with helpful staff to help organise day trips to Chateaus etc. Transport links are very good with a station close to the city centre.

It was very easy to find the hotel, even though it was in the middle of the city. The hotel sent directions in advance of adjacent underground parking which was a real help.
We recommend La Plume Blanche in the Place Plumereau

Beautiful cathedrals and a charming city centre, spread out along the Loire river. The trams and busses are easy enough to figure out. The brochures describe the 'gastronomic' experience that awaits, but that must apparently be researched and booked in advance. Strolling around the old medieval streets without a booking, we found more kebab shops and bars than gourmet restaurants, but perhaps we were in the wrong place.

Tours is a fantastic vibrant town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. It was our second visit and we’ll definitely be back.
We stayed at Castel Fleuri which is a ten minute walk away and is exceptionally good.
The staff are very welcoming and provided us with a map of Tours which was great.
I would not hesitate to recommend Tours as an overnight stop to break your journey or for a longer stay to explore and enjoy.

Tours was a wonderful city with a lively night life, historic sites and lots of high quality wine and food at every turn. There was very little car traffic in many parts of the old city, so walking around, is great. I’d love to go back and explore more.

I choose Tours as a base camp for exxploring the Loire valley up and down by train and bike. This did work out, just beware of the train schedule. It is very sparse except on weekends. Tours itself turned out to be more attractive than I had expected.
The hotel is in a convient location, just a few buildings from the tourism office. The building was secure with the room key to open the door from the street and a secondary door to the hotel. The room was quiet and a good size. Everything was clean and well styled. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure in the shower was good. The best was confortable and the was enough space for the clothes, the desk was nice to leave items at the end of the day. The air conditioning worked well. I did not partake in any meals through the hotel.
Sparkling clean. Newly furnished. Attention on details. Excellence service and super warm welcome. Breakfast in the garden. I read most of the reviews and was prepared a bit myself. As it was only one night so the noise would not bother me much and i was right. What i like the most is the owners have filled the gaps of all the comments such as providing ear plug which i did not use it and a small fan during summer. The smell of the scented is soo good. I feel much better than staying in chained hotel. Feel like hole!!!
I loved how wonderful, clean and organised the house was. The directions to the house were simple, and Dora texted us to check if we needed anything. There is a Carrefour city 5-min walk away and a bakery too and bus stops to get around. There is also parking in front of the house. I totally recommend staying at Nids de Loire and if I ever find myself in Tours I would definitely choose to stay there.
We had a quick stay in Tours to see the Chateaus, and this hotel was very close to the train station and walking distance to where our tour was meeting. A nice good sized room, big bed and quiet despite being so close to the train station, and quite a lot of restaurants nearby, not just fast food eateries. We walked into town and around looking at the attractions, so well situated.
The hotel is in a good location and has several parking spots, which really helped in this area because parking on the street was limited. It was about a 20-25 minute walk to Place Plumereau, the lovely square that is one of the main areas of Tours. The owners are friendly and helpful and gave us a lost of information about the city, nearby restaurants, etc.
We had an amazing stay at this wonderfully located apartment in Tours. It was truly fantastic, the apartment was top-notch and incredibly well-equipped, making it the best stay we've experienced anywhere. The presentation, amenities, and service were incredibly professional. I can't recommend PrestiPlace enough!
The hosts Cyril & David were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an amazing selection. The place itself is very welcoming, clean and with a stylish decoration. The location is perfect in the downtown center of Tours. Few minutes 30 min car ride to the castle of Chenonceaux! We will come back!
The hotel is centrally located and is updated, with air conditioning, elevators, and all the necessary tech connections. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the bathrooms were luxurious. The staff was very warm, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was lovely.
Its location is the best of all, just in front of the train station and 20 minutes walking from the center of Tours. We picked up the cheapest room, in the 1st floor, and it was smaller than I thought. Overall it is worth it for the price.
This is absolutely the best option for staying in Tours. A stunning home decorated with care to every detail. Discrete and welcoming hosts. A splendid environment. Very generous breakfast. In short, a rare gem.
Beautiful new hotel with excellent facilities. Easy walking to all attractions. Paid underground parking right outside the hotel which made it very easy. Such a comfy bed!! The best sleep of our holiday.
very convenient stop over on our journey from SW France to Channel Tunnel. great price, near motorway and plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. added bonus was the hotel welcomed dogs.
Excellent hotel in central location with parking and very strong wifi signal. The bonus was freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast which was served in a lovely courtyard.
City centre parking nearby although needed to go to hotel first to discover location. Functional, clean room. Walking distance to the interesting parts of the city.
A very nice hotel in a good area. Good sized room with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom too. Breakfast was good and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
