Location and views outstanding. Staff very helpful
Restaurant not being available.
transferring into a room in the main buildings was worth the extra cost - for extra room. Staff were helpful. The setting is beautiful - the park and river really make this hotel. Good food in the hotel's bistro.
the Parc room we had originally booked felt cramped, hot and claustrophobic; left the patio door open overnight but there's a railway line close by so not a great night's sleep; the main restaurant was closed in July & August.
General air of lack of passion amongst some of the staff
Very good location in lovely parkland setting. Very good , but expensive restaurant.
The town itself , with the exception of a take away pizza, offered no restaurants at all. Everything in the town seemed permanently closed.
The park around hotel was very interesting and nice. The restaurant was very good with professional service and welcoming atmosphere. It was comfortable to stay there.
Fantastic restaurant, dishes well presented and cooked excellent attentive and friendly staff. Room was very comfortable with superb wet room shower.
Large noisy party of young Eastern European men who spoilt the ambience of the restaurant and then loudly left the hotel on their coach in the middle of the night!
Quite and very pleasant place, located in a charming parka long a river. Lodging is comfortable, staff is really friendly, and restaurant (breakfast and dinner) is really nice.
Food in the restaurant was very good but a bit expensive. Set in large grounds with interesting and amusing sculptures and plenty of seats.
Felt a bit diddled as part of the appeal of booking this hotel was the look of the building only to find that our room was in another building a full two minutes walk from the main building where the restaurant was. This is fine on a nice day but not so good if tippling with rain and blowing a gale.
The location The restaurant except see opposite
The room. Far too hot and overpriced. No air con at least they could have provided fans. The restaurant. Cheese on plate instead of trolley so no choice. Would not have had cheese has we known. The Restaurant. The cheese arrived on a plate and not on trolley as stated on menu
A really good hotel in every respect. The grounds are stunning, the facilities and staff excellent. A top class restaurant.
