Staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Convenient for motorists visiting Colmar. Breakfast not good value. Also could not get the wi-fi to work. Poor choice of programmes on TV - would be nice to have an English-language news programme. |

The personel was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The room was really quiet. My husband found the matress too soft. The TV was at an angle not suitable for lying in bed and there was not one channel in English. Distance from the city is more than 10 min walking as advertised. |

This is the third time we have stayed at the hotel. It is a basic, well located and friendly modern establishment with a large car park (important in Colmar). English spoken. Could be very hot in summer - no mechanical ventilation or comfort cooling. Rooms small. No lounge. |

Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of storage space. Room bright and cheerful. Safe parking for motorbikes at rear of hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities in room would have been welcome. Hotel was advertised with restaurant when booked, but on arrival found out that this was not available in the evenings. This was disappointing as after a long motorcycle journey it would have been nice not to have to travel into Colmar for a meal. |

One of the more reasonably priced hotels in Colmar. It was conveniently located for my needs, and those traveling with cars will find the parking here simple and convenient (though it is then ten minutes to the edge of the old part of the city). The rooms were generally tidy, and the staff helpful. There are also bakeries on either end of the block (I would suggest the one out to the right) if 8 euros for breakfast seems too pricey. The wifi for the hotel could be spotty and could not handle some sites and web based email systems (I could read but not send from my main account). I did not have a problem with the rooms, but some may find them to be too compact. The first floors windows opened up in a way that did left open questions of privacy and potentially security, especially during the hot summer months. Finally, be aware that the front desk usually closes at 8 pm so that you must arrange for it to stay open for a late arrival. |

I have no specific things to say, about everything was fine. The breakfast was not included in the price and was a bit expensive, even if the quality was more than fair. |

Parking on site, location near town attractions, color and design of hotel were cheerful. Front desk reception was warm and helpful. Bed was a cuddle bed, better like the one next to you. Shower curtain was thin but always better than the glass guard. Right price, right availability during a Tour De France stop. |

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and happy to answer our questions. The room was small, but still a great value for the money. There was also plenty of free on-site parking, which is such a great amenity of you have a car with you. We really had no complaints at all about this hotel, and we really appreciated the friendliness of the staff. As I said, the room was small and very basic. If you're used to standard American hotels and have never been to France, then Arc-en-Ciel would probably be a shock for you. The hotel is located outside the city center, so probably not ideal for people traveling by train or who don't like public transportation or walking quite a bit. |

I know it´s not this Hotels fault. But I think the prizes for French Hotels are ridiculous. The rooms are tiny, the showers often in Plastic boxes. The breakfast costs extra is is often nothing that would justify the prize again... |

Cheap, clean, well located, easy to find with plenty of on-site car parking. Breakfast fine (if you like basic French breakfasts, that is). Staff efficient and helpful despite language barrier (they did speak some English, which was reassuring). No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Rooms small. Could be very hot in summer. No lounge area in hotel. No restaurant off-season. Ok for one night stay but not much longer. Maintenance issues: shower head would not stay in position & wc ventilation ineffective (non-existent?). |
