Entirely renovated in 2007, Hotel Arc-En-Ciel is ideally situated in a verdant setting just a 10-minute walk from the center of Colmar and its historic sites and attractions. This hotel is great starting point for discovering La Route des Vins (The Alsace Wine Route), the local picturesque villages and parks. Not to mention the regional specific cuisine and delicious local wine. All of the standard guestrooms feature a large bed or 2 single beds, modern private bathrooms, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi internet access. There are also connecting rooms and rooms with children’s beds. In addition to the facilities listed, the hotel also offers a free private parking lot and an outdoor terrace, and veranda where guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast or a moment of quiet. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 6 yrs and have received a consistently good standard of service. It is cheap, clean, well positioned, quiet and has lots of off-street car parking. There is an on-site restaurant but this has never been open when we have stayed. Breakfast is basic but fair value. (On our last visit we went to the nearby boulangerie where we had an excellent breakfast at the fixed price of 5 euro). The rooms are small and facilities are limited, but for a one or two night stay the hotel is perfectly adequate. Beds are standard doubles and are a bit on the firm side. It can be hot in summer as there is no mechanical ventilation/air conditioning.

Staff was very helpful and friendly Good breakfast Hotel is not easy to find as there are no landmarks nearby and it is outside the touristic area of Colmar so it won't show on the maps available Since the hotel's reception is not available at night you are pretty much without services/assistance until morning

Hotel can be easily found, with comfortable parking and clear interior layout. Rooms were small, with inadequate lighting and not very cosy. One can feel that they have to be cheap - but on the other hand other hotels with comparable room price offer more comfort.

In relation to the hotel, very little, the restaurant is permanently closed and it is a little on the outskirts of Colmar which, when we arrived was gridlocked with traffic. I would not visit Colmar or stay at this hotel again.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who speak excellent English. Free internet - and pretty fast too. Good breakfast. The rooms are tiny, grim and depressing and you would not want to spend too much in them - the paint job looks like a student house. The room definitely has a backpackers feel to it. At the price not great value - especially as you have to walk into town (about 10 minutes away) to get a meal. The wall plug did not work (for my lap top). I pulled the TV plug out -and the whole plug cover came away from the wall. The telephone had been burnt off the cable - and there was a length of burnt off telephone cable hanging out the wall. All rather gruesome.

Standard room with all the necessary confort, small, but we knew it when choosing this hotel. Good breakfast with fresh bred, fresh croissants and orange juice. We appreciated that even arriving at 23h I called in advance and the staff gave us a pin code to enter in the hotel. Good value quality/price. 20 min walking from the city center. Small room and bathroom even if for us it was not a so big problem.

Nice staff. Small room, weird odour, ugly colours. Generally uncomfortable. Expensive compared to what we had with the same amount of money in Germany, Italy, Austria and especially in Croatia.
