We stayed here one night on our way back from Italy to the Netherlands, and for that the hotel was good enough (but I wouldn't want to stay here any longer). Other good points: It was clean, the price was good for what you get, and there's plenty of parking space.

Our room was very small, especially the shower and toilet: there's hardly any room to move around. The hotel is noisy and next to a busy road. The personnel seems uninterested and didn't respond to the bell on the desk if they were gone. Breakfast was simple but ok, but the coffee was downright bad. The bed and pillow were too soft to my likings. Actually, the whole atmosphere in the hotel just made me feel a bit sad. It's really not the home away from home you might be hoping for.

Bit small room, but it wasn't a problem at all.

The price, the shower is also pretty good. Flat screen tv. Room is small but clean. Quiet area, nice surroundings.

The location, quite far from Colmar Center and no public transp (as far as I know)...they only wanted to give us one internet password (we were two) for free, the other they wanted to charge, at around 10pm the internet was cut-off and there was nobody at the lobby to ask about. Didn't get a chance to try the breakfast.

The directions to the hotel on the web site were terrible causing us numerous problems locating the hotel, we had to resort to phoning the hotel and being given directions over the phone.

Clean and quiet, and includes internet access. Breakfast is available and fine. Good patisserie a few minutes down the road away from town centre.

We made a quick trip to Colmar with some of our college age kids. Since we weren't looking for ambiance and were short on time, we decided to try Hotel Arc-En-Ciel & booked 2 rooms. This hotel is like a dormatory with no carpets & only the bare essentials. Wi-Fi was very important to us but it was spotty. Good cheap place to crash for the night. Breakfast was $10 & was adequate (meat cheese boiled egg, rolls, butter, jam, sour orange juice, coffee/chocolate, croissants). Next time I would walk to bakery/cafe and get fresher/better croissants)

No carpeting, no shampoo and almost no room to walk around the two beds pushed together in a tiny tiny tiny room/bath/shower. However, it was clean and the beds were adequately comfortable. No carpeting in the hall meant lots of noise when people were making their way to their rooms-also, church bell rang on the hour. I'd put this in the college dorm/hostel category. Walk to quaint part of town took 25 min (not 15 as advertised). Spotty Wi-Fi (on/off/on/off)

The stay there was fine. It's a 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre.had wifi in our room.

Location of the hotel was quite a bit farther out of the old city center than lead to believe via the website. It's at least a 20-25 minute walk and my husband and I walk briskly.

Breakfast was good. The room was quiet 1st floor. The location near 15min to the city centre was fine. Since we were a group of cyclists, it was convenient to be able to leave the cars at the hotel while we were cycling for the weekend (coming back one day later,)

The hotel is reasonably easy to find on a main road into Colmar and has plenty of parking. The old city of Colmar is within walking distance. The breakfast was good.

Hotel Arc-en-Ciel is a motel rather than hotel. The room is very basic and there is no restaurant for dinner but the centre of Colmar is within walking distance. It was relatively expensive and not good value for money.

Friendly staff. Room was clean. In a good location at the edge of town - 15 minute walk to the old town. Very close to bus stop for station {2 minute walk} as we were going by train. Good continental breakfast. If you stayed out late - after 10pm - you let yourself in with a keypad code which was very useful.

Room a bit small, but you get what you pay for. Perfect for 1 or 2 night stay when you only want a bed for the night. Looks a bit like a hostel.

Close to town centre (15 minute walk ). Well situated on main road and easy to find.

They could not find my reservations but fortunately had a room available. Had to book with them again to ensure room availability for the return journey. On return journey found no hot water in bathroom the following morning so had to endure a cold shower. This was at 06.15. They do not start breakfast until 07.30 which for me ( and I suspect most travellers ) is too late. 06.30 would be more realistic.

Clean, simple, small room with a good-sized bathroom and comfortable bed. About ten minutes walk into the beautiful centre of Colmar (so nice that we decided to stop here on both outward and return legs of our trip to Italy). Staff pleasant. Plenty of parking available at the front and behind the hotel. Cheap for Colmar.

The hotel is noisy - both from traffic and people outside, and also from inside: the corridors seem to echo with doors banging like a prison block! People were coming and going all night.

Smelt of bleach and air freshener strongly. Nothing like the pictures rooms are tiny quite a walk to the centre of Colmar. Stayed in better hotels on our trip for the same price. Be prepared it is "budget"

Breakfast was good.

Rooms very small and basic, separate toilet from bathroom that made the room even smaller and less functional. Beds are in need of replacement. The walk into Colmar center is more like 20 minutes than 10 minutes as noted in the review.

The hotel offers no-frills accommodation at a reasonable price. The room was quite small but adequate. Breakfast was plentiful and good.

The hotel does not offer evening meals and there were no restaurants nearby so it was necessary to walk into the centre of Colmar - 10-15 minutes - to find one.
