Very helpful staff who organised a slightly complicated taxi booking for me - involving dropping off a hire car and meeting the cab at the Avis office to take me back to the hotel. The welcome was warm and friendly and my room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would recommend it to others after telling them not to be discouraged by a rather poor entrance and reception area. As above, very poor extterior and entrance and a reception area that lets down what is in fact a perefectly good budget hotel which offers a warm welcome in a very convenient location.. I speak as a world traveller who has stayed everywhere from the Waldorf Astoria to the Burj El Arab in Dubia and a four room hotel in the wilds of Ehtiopia. Good luck toi the Arche, they have a good location and can do even better.

Beautiful view from bedroom. Large bedroom and bathroom. Very good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Excellent breakfast. Good location between motorways. Good signposting to find it in town. Very good underground car park. Good position within town. Easy access to nearby shops. Staff friendly but not obtrusive. Tv handset was grubby and could contain germs.

Town centre location Lack of tea / coffee facilities in the room. Heavy woollen blankets offering little comfort in bed. Too much American memorabilia

Enjoyed overnight stay, decor was very cool, staff were friendly and helpful especially with my basic and lack of ability to speak French. Cost of room was more than expected in comparison to other establishments that I have stayed in.

Clean tidy, air con rooms, inexpensive, and friendly staff. The secure underground car park was a must for holidaymakers, not sure weather you could get a top box under though. 8 Euro for a very limited breakfast, seemed expensive, could do with more choice.

This Hotel is situated in a convenient place close to shops overlooking the canal and gardens which just invite you to walk along. The interior of the Hotel is calm and inviting; the staff friendly and helpful. Definitely good value.

Excellant location of hotel, and the views from the hotel room across the river and town, especially in the morning watching the sun rising over the trees. The breakfast was very good and nourishing, and the American/film theme throughout the hotel was also very interesting. We will certainly use this hotel again when travelling down through France again Only very minor things, one was the 3 Euros for a 33cl can of drink in the room (needless to say we didn't have one); and the very loose toilet seat- which is surely checked each day by the house keeping staff.

Easy to find with underground secure parking.Access to the car park is at the rear of the hotel, just drive straight in and tell the attendant you are with the hotel,he will show you where to park. There is direct access(lift) from car park to reception. We were given a nicely decorated room of average size with all the usual facilities, everything was very clean.Did not take meals in the hotel so cannot comment. There are bars/resturants and cafes nearby. This is not a tourist town but is ideal as a stopover en route to Spain.

Very well appointed hotel with excellent shower, large tray and shower head with adequate water flow. The bed was large and confortable, the room had good lighting, a fan above the bed, air conditioning and a good view of the canal. Situated in the centre it was just a couple of minutes from a large supermarket, some quality bars and food availability close by. The secure underground car park was an added bonus. An ideal stay and nothing to complain of. We didn't try the restaurant this time but will in the future. We ate a super meal round the corner at the pizzeria pub about 50 yards up the road and a super bread shop further along. The one thing missing throughout France is the lack of tea making facilities in hotel rooms. None

Convenient halfway stop on Journey home from South of France. Great character, Quiet, with excellent parking facilities. Good view over the canal. The interconnecting room was ideal as we had our daughter with us who has a learning disability. This gave us 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets and allowed us to be both private and available when required. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were well equipped, air conditioned, clean and comfortable and most importantly everything worked. Good choice for breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Room for much improvement in restaurant. Food is poorly cooked, of indifferent quality and portions are small. We feel that the restaurant is not up to the standard of the hotel.

Supermarket nearby handy for stocking up on journey if self catering. Although reasonably priced we felt that the food in the restaurant was poorly cooked , small portions and of indifferent quality. The impression was that the ingredients had come off the shelf of the local supermarket. Definitely room for improvement.

Convenient stopover between south of France and Calais. Reasonably priced room with view over canal. Comfortable & large twin/double bed; secure garage was important. Restaurant on-site useful in the small town and supper and breakfast very acceptable. Quirky american diner type decoration in hotel.

Very central location and secure underground parking on site. Restaurant was adequate but several items on the menu were not available despite the fact that it was relatively early on Saturday evening. Mine host was pleasant and spoke English if necessary. The room was clean and quiet despite the central location in Vierzon.

“Very handy place to stay as just off the motorway but there is no traffic noise and it immediately feels as if you are in deep countryside. Lovely historic building with outside patio and lawns with loungers. No dinner available as out of season but were recommended restaurant in next village which was excellent. The room was comfortable and breakfast was good. Just what we were looking for.” Elizabeth, Enfield |
