A comfortable, clean, friendly family-run hotel with up-to-date facilities in a very central location for Mt St Michel visits. We felt It was a little over-priced for what we got though, compared to the many other places we have stayed. A smallish room, cost €78 each night plus €18 for a very simple breakfast for the two of us = €96 per night, which compares poorly with the others. Nevertheless, it was all of t he things listed above.

Staff speak very little english even though they boast that they do. Rooms were very cold and it took 3 times to ask for something to be done before it actually was. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from outside your room. Right next to train tracks. Bathroom was tiny and didnt even have a holder for the shower head. Master bed was tiny. Suitible only for someone no more than 4 feet tall! No tea/coffe facilities in the room. No bar fridge in the room. You cannot even eat a snack in the room as they have a rule that no food is to be eaten in the rooms!

We had a beautiful room as we upgraded to the one with the spa I couldn't fault the room at all, and it was only a short drive to Mont Saint Michel

After being told that the restaurant food was amazing, it was disappointing to find that for the 3 days we were there they weren't serving any food. They were uncertain where we could eat had had no real recommendation. We walked to the Main Street but there were only a handful of places open and the food was average. If you stay here don't eat at the pub on the corner as the food is microwave meals that don't even come on a plate. So although I say stay in Ponterson if you have other options take them.

Location is good for traveling by train and easy to take a bus to Mont. saint Michel. Room is clean and big.

Price for Breakfast is too expensive. Staff is helpful but can be more friendly. Bathroom should have a curtain to avoid wet floor.

Clean, well designed rooms. Extremely comfortable beds and full bathrooms. Breakfast was sourced from local farms, tasty and generous.

Thin walls typical fo r old world buildings. Easy answer - Bring ear plugs if noises bother you.

The hotel seems to be located over 2 different parts, the more modern and updated part is the actual Hotel Ariane, the other rooms, cheaper rooms, seem all to be located in the other block across the railway line. Don't be put off by the fact it is located right by the railway line. The trains seem to be running only between 15:00 and 18:00 than nothing. This was certainly the case whilst we were there mid August. The rooms are basic but clean, bathrooms a little outdated but again clean. The most surprising part of the hotel is the actual restaurant, the dinner menu is very good and good value too clearly they spent some money on bringing the restaurant up to date! One to note, if you do stay more than one night the dinner menu doesn't change at all, as they believe most of their guest are only there for one night hence doesn't matter. Most of the courses to pick from seem to also attract a supplement. There is a small private car park at the back of the hotel. There are some restaurants nearby and can certainly recommend the pizza place on the corner of the street away from the train station heading in to the main street, if you don;t fancy two nights of the same food.

Staff can be a little grumpy, the lady who runs the hotel is nice enough once you engage with her a little her husband speaks fairly good English. The young lady in the restaurant is very friendly and again speak English.

Convenient stop on way to Cherbourg.

The advertising is false. They have taken a photo of the beautiful old building to the front of the hotel and used it to advertise their hotel. In fact Hotel Ariane is behind this building and is adjacent to the railway lines. This of course is not mentioned in any of the material. So hence it was not a quiet rest for either of us. On arrival we were met by a rather grumpy individual who was not prepared to assist us in anything much at all. Way over priced for what was offered.

The warm welcome from the owner, and he showed us to our rooms, The pub was warm and inviting too.

It was convenient overnighter.

Breakfast was very poor and noise of banging doors in passages. However some travellers do not consider other guests!

Location was convenient although the hotel is next to a railroad track and several busy cross streets. Breakfast room and offering were fine.

Don't know where to start. (1) Beds were very uncomfortable. (2) Bathroom (although adequate) was in the middle of the room. (3) When I told person at desk in the morning that we would not stay for second night due to dissatisfaction with hotel he insisted that we were "too late to cancel". (!!) I do not think that I have ever heard of such a thing.

We were late, but we called and were given the door entrance code,also the key to our room was left in its keyhole! We'll be forever grateful as we had been traveling all day and were absolutely knackered! Hotel very close to Le Mont Saint Michel, clean and beautifully furnished room! Excellent stay.

A band was playing just outside the hotel and they were kind of loud, but they stopped at a decent hour...

VERY close to the station and also close to the cheap bus to Mont St. Michel. Room was clean and a good size.

Good hotel with all the basics covered in a good way. Friendly staff, good rooms. Very convenient located near the Mt. St. Michel.

Try the food here, you will not be disappointed.

Nice big rooms when traveling with a stroller this comes in handy.
