electric sockets and switches hanging off wall, narrow stairways covered in obstructions when we arrived. Everywhere very grubby.A man on the desk who asked for our credit card along with our passport, then without asking and in a covert manner photocopied our credit card. When challenged told a cock and bull story about his bank asking for it. Do not trust this hotel.

Room and bathroom size is big.

No kettle in the room. Very terrible smell in the lift.

Centrally located

The price of breakfast was shown on their website as 5.50 euros - incorrect, as we were charged 8 euros for breakfast

Nothing

Dirty, smelly, poorly maintained, noisy and cramped. Incredible. I have stayed in some poor hotels in my time, but this is the first te I have been compelled to write about it.

Location

Hotel Aris Nord charged me twice for the same room on the same night and refused to refund the overpayment! Hotel Aris Nord robbed me of 80.56 euros. Don't stay there!

Nothing we paid in advance for four (4) nights stay, however the room allocated to us was so bad that we decided to take the hit and find anther hotel for the four (4) nights.

This facility did not deserve any star rating let alone a two star rating.

Agreed - very close to Gare du Nord. This turned out to be accidental but made our exit easier from Paris to the airport.

I would suggest the noise level issuing from the street was most unsatisfactory, it was anxiety-stimulating. For 2 nights, I will be charged 335 euros for a 3 x 3 metre? room, otherwise clean enough, but the price escalation due to an international soccer match was not client friendly for myself and an unknown circumstance. The check-in personnel could have expanded on the reality of the situation.

Bath was a little dirty - Not too bad though :)

location - close to train station & metro. 4 bed room with bathroom.

hairdryer did not work. Only one light in room worked. Limited plug sockets.

Close to Gare-Du-Nord so I could basically get in and collapse.

Area is pretty scary, don't walk around the area on your own, especially as a girl. I didn't have any trouble, but I didn't feel very safe. Also, the hotel was undergoing renovations, and there were exposed wires, holes in walls, etc.

Its a good clean hotel, very comfortable beds and in a good location, many stores to buy food and there are also restaurants :)

Very convenient for the Gard du Nord.

Staff was very helpful, enjoyed my stay over there. Rooms was nice, big.

The location of the hotel, the street felt a bit dodgy for me.

Location is perfect exactly near Gare de l'Est, supermarket g20 is 20 mins on foot, 2 stations away from Monmartre and Tati shop.Clean rooms,there is a hairdryer,lcd tv set,free wifi in a room.

For this price its good enough-we paid 316 euro for 4 persons from 25 dec to 28 dec.

A litte old hostel.

I don't like nothing in this hotel and never think o stay again.

This time I'm on a very tight budget. I chose this hotel because of its price and location. It's a very convenient location getting around the city and get out of the city as Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est are both main train stations and metro stops. Hot shower and heating worked well. Room is spacious. The street down there is not that scary as others have said. And it's not that loud the street gets. I open the window in the middle of the night to let some fresh air in. However I don't know if people will get very loud in summer (My stay is in Dec) Cleanliness of the hotel is so-so. Furnitures are old. You get what you pay for.

Major problem with the wifi. The connection itself is very slow and some issues with the stability too. My laptop has no problem connecting to the wifi network everytime I use it but still the speed is very slow. However, my two mobile phones are always having problems connecting to the wifi network. Even once connected you don't know when it's gonna get disconnected and you won't be able to connect again for a period of time. Still, it's very slow even your mobile had successfully connected. I don't recommend this hotel if internet connection is important for planning your day-to-day itinerary.

Location and price both excellent.

Hotel Staff is friendly.

There was no light at the room.

Hotel rooms are advertised as sound proof but although the sound was not coming through the outside window the noise coming from the room next door was really bad . Made a complaint to the reception to no avail. Pease stop advertising this hotel with "sound proof" rooms !

The location of this hotel is ideal if you are travelling from Charles De Gall airport as it is a train straight from the airport to Gaurd De Nord station with the hotel situated a very short walking distance.

The decor and cleanliness of the rooms were of a low standard, however the bed sheets were clean.
