Hotel room was spacious and comfortable for 3 persons. Bathroom was also pretty big. The hotel is located at a perfect location for exploring the city. The room has a weird smell and the hotel did not have a lift. That meant we had to drag our luggage up and down and stairs! The hotel decor was also pretty dated and old.

Wonderful, accommodating staff, a large clean room, great location, good soundproofing and air-conditioning, delicious breakfast; parking nearby for a reasonable fee. I would have liked an option for a less expensive, less copious breakfast. I didn't like getting blocked in the garage by a parked car but appreciated the manager's quick response to get us out,

Location was very good! Because the hotel is not right in the middle of the downtown area, it isn't noisy. Rooms were clean and comfy. The hallways may look old and there's no elevator!! The quadruple room we got was furnished weirdly. There seemed to be an old kitchenette area in the room that was left empty without any furniture. While it was odd and it gave us an initial shabby impression, the main portions of the room were properly furnished.

The room was very spacious for a European hotel. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. The front desk was extremely helpful and willing to call and book our dinner reservations, reserve a taxi, whatever we needed. The hotel is in a perfect location: steps away from the fountain and all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Aix. We had a lovely dinner at Ze Bistro, which was within easy walking distance and highly recommended. The keys are attached to key chains that literally feel like iron door handles. They are huge! However, they will keep them at the front desk for you while you are out and about if you don't want to carry them around.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and were put off by the reviews somewhat. But this hotel was a good choice and perfect for seeing the beautiful city of Aix. The location is excellent, one block from the Mirabeau. The staff were helpful, English speaking, helpful with French and courteous. The breakfast was simply overwhelming but we only attended once; we simply can't eat that much at the beginning of the day. Overall a pleasant hotel and an enjoyable experience .EO Toronto The only negative about the hotel is that it can be difficult to drive to using google maps and the hotel ignored our request to provide paid parking when we requested it. Fortunately, they had parking available in their lot and all was well, but this hotel is not the best if you need parking.

The room is very specious and the bathroom is huge. The location is nice central location. I think maybe they could have more savoury food. What a surprise to land a room so airy and specious! Overall we had a very pleasant and very comfortable stay. I think there is definetly room for improvement with reference breakfast. We think they should have more savoury food and great variety of fruit juices.

Great place to stay. Very friendly & helpful staff. A bit pricey but large room, dog friendly (10€ daily charges), excellent & free wifi, easy parking (10€/day, cheaper than public), & large screen tv (French satellite). Perfect location: steps to the heart of Aix. Busy street but quiet at night.

Surprisingly pretty hotel once inside, with a lot of character including wooden tree trunks on the ceiling. Very clean and spacious rooms and bathroom. Excellent location. Boutique-feel. Good wifi in rooms. Reception staff a bit moody.

Although the entry and the insides of the hotel are not very sexy, once you get to the room you find the hotel is quite good. The floor is made of ceramic tiles, but the bed is nice, very white and clean, all the furniture is very well and the bathroom is very clean and nice. The rooms are well isolated from the street and the other rooms, though not very well from the hall (as the doors are very thin). The staff is correct, which for France means very friendly. Finally, the location is great, in a somewhat calm spot but two block away from the main streets. The ceramic floor gives the room a "budget" look. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and hall and entry don't look very design either. The rooms are really good (if it was only for the rooms the hotel could be a high 3 or low 4 stars), but prices are a little bit high for the hotel as a whole (93 euros per night in november without breakfast).

Room clean and comfortable. Very well situated for the city, easy walking distance to La Rotunde and Cour Mirabeau. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Approximately 10 mins walk from bus station Breakfast expensive at 10Euros per head - use the croissanterie only 30 seconds away. No tea/coffee making facilities in room, typical of continent though.

Large room, well-supplied with towels, soap, shampoo. Location ideal for access to old town and train and bus stations. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable desk staff. Hallways and stairs could use a cleaning. Room cleaning was a tad lax.

I was very impressed with this hotel and with the staff. The location was extremely central in Aix en Provence so it was really easy to come and go to wander around this lovely city. Our room was large, cool, very well decorated and very clean. When we arrived, the hotel staff were very quick to help us with our luggage. The room was air conditioned which was great given the heat. I thought it was extremely good value for the price we paid. You must book parking in advance - we hadn't, so juggling the car was a bit tricky. It's also difficult to off-load luggage as the hotel is situated at a busy junction and the space reserved for this purpose seemed to always have the same car parked there!

Excellent Location. On Sunday, there is a good market (bazaar) which the hotel is very close. You can see many reflections of daily life from past to now. Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. The hotel was also Darius Milhaud's house. There is a dedicated room for him but room is used as a luggage room. we found very disrespectful.

Good central location to main tourist sites. For the air conditioning we had to request a hand control from reception. The controller indicated variable temp but only room temperature air came out. Uncertain whether servicing the room(making bed etc) is included but was done when requested. Parking was available if requested but would suggest only use with a compact size car. In need of makeover. Not good value for tariff charged.
