Manager was very friendly & hospitable. Scooby, the manager's small dog was cute & friendly! Room was nice with large, comfortable bed. Bathroom also nice sized but a little mold growing on sliding shower door track and around shower. Location is great, just a couple of blocks from Notre Dame. Some mold growing in shower - door tracks and top.

Our hosts were very hospitable, and we loved their dog Scooby! The rooms are an excellent value with a good location right in the middle of Rouen, very close to downtown and the tourism office. If you really need peace and quiet, don't book this hotel on a Saturday night. The windows block most of the noise (easy enough for me to sleep) but not entirely.

The location was perfect for a one night stopover. We wanted to park up and walk out to bars and restaurants for the evening, followed by a comfortable bed and breakfast before continuing our journey. This hotel fitted the bill perfectly. The new owner was extremely welcoming and helpful. I got the impression that the new owner has plans to improve the rooms, the bathroom and bedroom needed some decorating attention for instance, but it was all clean and the friendliness made up for it.

Staff is the most wonderful aspect of this hotel. They are very nice, welcoming. They speak English and are willing to do casual conversation. Very friendly, it was a joy to talk to them. The hotel is under renovation, as the guy at the reception told us immediately. Therefore the room has some flaws (the door would not open if not after pushing it a bit for instance), that anyway did not affect our stay at all. The room was perfectly clean. We bet that once the renovation is completed this hotel will be near perfect. Breakfast includes lot of food and is not costly at all. Would stay here again for sure

We used the hotel as a stopover on the way to Brittany and had a brief overnight stay. The couple who run it are very friendly and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable stay. They have limited off street parking which you can book with them. It was more than adequate for a budget stopover. They do breakfasts but we preferred to do our own thing The Hotel is a little tired looking with a tenement style staircase to get to the rooms. The lift doesn’t work so don’t try and take too much to your room.

Myself and the family had a perfect stop over night at your Hotel! What we particularly liked was the friendliness of Jean-Christoph and Julia, the location and the relaxed atosphere. We were welcomed and looked after very well and we look forward to going back there one day! Thanks to 'Arts Et Seine' and 'Rouen' for a perfect start to our holiday!

The hotel is located in walking distance close to the old town. The room on the second floor was clean and basic. The staff greeted us with a tray of coffee, tea and/or hot chocolate. The evening of our stay, there was a concert on the Seine river bank and the street was very busy with traffic and people until late at night.

The fact that the owners were trying to improve the hotel and downstairs was fine. They wanted you to like the place and were very pleasant. The size of the room. The poor standard of the bathroom. Pipes running down the wall of the bedroom. Mould, lots of it and thick and black, on the bathroom ceiling.
