Helpful staff. Great location. Seemed overpriced compared to other Paris hotels we stayed in recently. |

The staff went out of its way to get me a wifi connection when its server went down for several hours just before my arrival. Also the location: 3 Metro stations within 10 minute walk, direct bus line to CDG a few blocks away, terrific restaurants in a safe area. What's not to like? |

That it was very close to the Metro. Rooms were too small, 3 beds in a room for me and my mates was actually one queen size bed and a helping bed, so I woke up sore! |

The hotel was pieceful and that area too. It was near by Metro and many restaurants. Strange pillow (for two person) in bed, couldn't use it. Air conditioner was sometimes little noisy. |

1. The Ascot Opera is located a very easy walk to Le Louvre and Le Jardin de Tuilleries. 2. It is also a 2-minute walk to a metro station. 3. My room had an air conditioner in the room. 4. I took the Roissy Bus back and forth to the CDG Airport. The one drop-off location Paris is a close walk from the hotel - even with luggage. 5. WiFi was available in my room at a cost. 1. With the exception of one person, each of the front desk people I encountered during my 8-night stay was not very friendly. They often gave the impression that I was bothering them when I came to the desk. 2. It is this hotel's policy that guests leave their room keys at the desk when they leave the hotel during the day. I would rather keep my own room key and not always have the hotel staff know my comings and goings. 3. As is the practice at many European hotels, Ascot Opera does not provide wash cloths. |

Staff were excellent - very helpful and friendly The cleaning staff started at 7.30 a.m. and made a lot of noise, they should be more mindful of guests that are on vacation and may not want to be up so early |

Nice location for sightseeing. The facility is relatively worn and old-fashioned. |

We stayed in the triple room and though small it worked just fine for 3 ladies with multiple pieces of luggage. Centrally located to the Opera and the Louvre we enjoyed the walk of just a few blocks. Dinner at Le Tavern is not too be missed! Recommended by the hotel clerk, it was wonderful. And I'd also recommend the Les Rouge or Hop on Hop Off Trolley. Saw everything we wanted to see in a limited time. |

The location was very nice, the rooms were clean, the air conditioning was good and the staff at the hotel was very helpful. Not really, the hotel met my expectations and all the requirements for my family for this trip to Paris |

Helpful staff, quaint room with tea service and the nice breakfast. It would have been nice if breakfast were included in the rate. |

The hotel is in a great location. The rer from the airport (with one change) is close and the Opera subway station is central to getting around Paris. The area was nice, quite at night, and very convenient. The hotel was clean, the room was small but comfortable, for the most part, this worked out perfectly for us. Initially, they tried to put us into a nearby hotel owned by the same person (because we were a triple and the room there was ready). The second location, although a little closer to the main street, was not the same standard (although the bathroom in the other hotel was bigger and nicer), so we went back to the Ascot and they were more than happy to put us in a triple there, we just had to wait until Noon to check in. On one of our days we didn't get started until close to lunchtime (we'd stayed out late the night before) and, even though we told them at the front desk our room was ready to be cleaned, it was never made up for us that day. The hotel made me pay when we checked in, so when our triple turned to a double the last night, they hotel was unwilling to reduce our nightly rate. They did offer to cover our bar costs (waters in the room, internet, etc...), when we checked out the next day it was not done and so there was some confusion on checking out. I'm still not sure if they will be charging me the bar costs, the charge has not come through yet (its only been 2 days). None of these things are major enough to stop us from considering the hotel for a subsequent stay. |

The hotel is very well situated in Paris - easy to get to all the sites either by foot or by public transportation. Very quiet neighborhood. My room was clean and the staff was very nice. |

Nice and clean, in the center close to everything and in a very quiet part of town. Very friendly staff. It would be great if there was a PC with internet at the front desk just for confirming flight & train bookings (check-in) etc. Just for the guests. At this time we had to go to an internetcafé to do this. |

Location is good, but rooms are a little too small. I do not know if this is the standard of hotels in Paris downtown, though. |
