Decor trendy. Location good. The desk staff were not friendly. Older gentleman wouldn't make eye contact or exercise hospitality towards me but he would speak to my husband with no issue. I am American he is British so maybe there was predjudice? The shower leaked on the floor and the there was no way to hang the shower head. Sink not very functional either.

Cozy room, small but had clean and updated atmosphere. Great for two people married for years and just want to reconnect and relax. Noise. Family of 5 were excited to be in Paris and it showed.

Good location, clean and original rooms Mattress very firm so not good if you're sensitive to those things. Walls are paper thin and for our 4 nights stay our neighbours were a couple with a baby and a toddler who was allowed to make a lot of noise. We were not offered a different room by reception when we mentioned the problem, they just said they would have a word with our neighbours. Our nights were short, being woken up every day before 8am. Felt like we were sleeping next to a nursery...

The location is great, and the hotel is well maintained. The room had a good size, and good cleaning. The free wi-fi doesn't work well, it's slow. The staff is not friendly, they don't ask you need some help with your luggage (for example) or how to use the internet or if you need city maps. They're limited, answering only what had been questioned.

I liked the location, but had a car, and did not like the parking system; the hotel staff seemed to have an issue with it and were obviously not happy about having to go open the parking lot...

It is located a short walk from Notre Dame and the Seine River, as well as world class shopping. And it's one block from the subway to the train station or the airport. If you are traveling solo and book a single room, you won't believe how small it is! I've stayed all over Europe and Asia, and this one was as small as I have ever seen. It was all very modern and clean, but felt very cramped.

First of all I am not evaluating Ascot Hotel since I was moved and stayed to a hotel half a block from Ascot called lle de France Opera Hotel without any advance notice. So my evaluation is for lle de France Opera Hotel not for Ascot Hotel. The Hotel location is perfect if you want to walk or use the Metro going around the city. It is very close to everywhere. The are inexpensive restaurants, a lot of Japanese reaturant around. The Staff of lle de France Opera specially Joelle and Yan were very good and helpful. The only person that I didn't like is the nite front desk, I think his name is Joseph, He was not pleasant and he is not very helpful. He didn't smile when I was there. I don't think he is the right person to be at the front desk.

It is a small hotel with a great central location. The main advantage of this hotel is - the hotel staff is inceadibly nice and friendly, so you feel like at home. The single rooms are very small but comfortable. When I stayed in the Ascot Opera the reception was in the process of renovation. After it is going to be finished the hotel should look even nicer.

Reception / front desk was good. The hotel is under construction and this information was not provided on booking.com or the hotel's website. No true pillows. Klennex was provided and not real tiolet paper. I was in room 10, in which the garden has access to. Not safe when someone can open two windows to enter my room - freely and easily. Access just outside the stairs. Stairs was right infront of my door. Two large doors. Pictures conveyed rooms as updated, which my room was not. Worst hotel experience. I left after 2 days of a 5 day stay. No refund was provided! Hotel was not provided as advertise. False advertising.

Bedding attractive and beds and pillows very comfortable. A/c good. Housekeeping staff very helpful. Bathroom attractive, well functioning and good size. Lift functioned well and large for Paris lift. Wine opener and real glasses (as opposed to plastic found in some places) provided; wine glass would have been nice. Small safe available. Good size wardrobe. Location nice with some pleasant restaurants nearby. Lobby in state of chaos as updates being made. Rooms were supposed to be 'updated' but other than bedding very unattractive. Hideous floor and wall covering. Portions of wall not painted; my 10 year old grandson could have done better at painting. Nice to have fridge but it didn't even cool wine bottle. Safe not large enough for electronics or laptop. Typical european hairdryer (weak) with no place to plug in anything else in bathroom.
