The room was located in the cellar with only two smal windows. No escape route / possibility in case of fire. We think the use of the cellar locations as sleeping rooms was not accepted/approved by regulations/authorities.
Lovely family run Hotel ,very peaceful and quiet. 10 minutes walk to beach at Juan Les Pins, 15 minutes walk to main square in Antibes. Very large room, we opted to take kitchen facilities, which was great.
Beds were very firm, wouldn't suit everyone. We didn't have a balcony, so I would request a room with one if I go again.
The friendly owner couple work hard to maintain the quality of lodging. They keep everything simple and comfortable. Spacious room and bathroom with tub. Close to supermarket and able to prepare own food when tired of dining out. Parking in front of the hotel. Juan-lesPins was not so interesting town, but, it is very close to Nice, Canne, Monaco, Eze, basically every tourist destination in French Riviera by car or by public transportation. To save cost of accommodation and enjoy connivence of having kitchen, I will stay here again when I come back to French Riviera. Strongly recommend to the family.
Need to use same bath and bed lines for one week. Not having laundry in the hotel.
- Comfortable bed - Large rooms - Airconditioned
- Wifi unuseable - Too far from happening place - Too expensive - No room service (one week without any cleaning in appartment!) - No kettle - Noisy as doors opening/closing - especially at night unacceptable for sleeping
Our room was clean and very spacious. Staff were very helpful. Great value for money.
A little noisy.
Nice non-chain hotel managed/owned by a French couple. Room of a decent size with large enough bathroom and balcony. Peaceful neighborhood. Not too far from the beach, yet not close too (about 15 min walk). Supermarket is about 7 min away. Train station is very close (5 min). It's good to have a kitchen and, hence, flexibility to eat at home or to eat out. General impression was good.
Kitchen doesn't have kettle, so if you're a tea drinker - be prepared. If your windows look at the yard, a neighboring hotel has outdoor swimming-pool where guests can have parties until late in the evening - might be a bit noisy, though closed windows help a lot. Mosquitos in the room were a little bit bothering. Guests take care themselves about change of towels and linens (have to bring dirty ones to the owners in order to exchange them for clean ones). Internet sometimes disappears.
We loved this hotel! It really deserves more stars! It was very clean and we got a big room with a big bathroom! We really enjoyed the little private balcony as well. We highly recommend this hotel!
Location, Large Room, Kitchen, Balcony
Vintage bathroom (70's standard) but clean!
The apartment was beautiful, clean and welcome.the owner was wonderful, and we had privet parking
The location far away from the center.
Perfect for a small getaway to the south of France. Hotel Astor is not fancy, but it is comfortable has everything you would possibly need for a weekend trip. We liked that the hotel was a little bit set back from the beach…it was slightly less touristy and was also an easy commute to the train station and water.
Really big room and bathroom, also very clean. The coffee machine on the hall is a very good idea.
The bathtub and the shower curtain are uncomfortable for people who only want to make a shower. Otherwise, the bathroom is quite spacious.
Very nice hotel, clean, bug rooms and nice location. The personnel is very friendly. I recommend it!
Beautiful interior & exterior, really exceeded my expectations of a 2*. Will definilty be travelling back & staying there.. and recommending to family & friends too! :).
I was visiting for Cannes Festival, and Juan les Pins was well connected by train. It was also a pleasant place between Cannes and Antibes
The location was curious, as it was indeed close to train station, but on other side of tracks from the sea. My first experience with a hotel that has no "reception" - definitely a no go. Everything handled by messages, a phone that was turned off, etc.
Location both for bus, train, car and walking. Good comfortable accomadation
We had to leave.
Hotel was in a lovely location - less than a 10 minute walk away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre and the beaches. It was spotlessly clean and staff were very helpful and friendly.
Very big and comfortable room with a balcony. Good location, just opposite the 200 bus stop and 5 min walking to train station. Friendly owners
Nice and tranquil Ample parking Good hvac
No cleaning after 11:30
having a kitchen was amazing.
Fantastic breakfast included. Area is up-and-coming so there are a lot of newer restaurants in the area. Restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. Staff is very helpful, especially the doorman at the bar. Has a lift and is easy to get to the subway or train.
Air conditioner did not work so it was quite warm. Had down duvet but it was too hot in the room to use it (I dont prefer down, but I understand some would).
the fact we had a self contained studio with heaps of room made our stay sooo much better.
there was nothing not to like.
Nice spacious room, wifi was great. Comfy bed
Bit echoy in the hallways. Could hear people skyping from my room
Great location, very quiet with great access to restaurants, the coast and public transport
Perfect location, close to the station. Great Value for money, spacious, clean, comfortable and well run. Your every wish is possible. The host is happy, helpful and very keen to help solve any requests or questions you may have.
Very clean and spacious, lovely friendly and couldn't be more helpful owners
I couldn't get online but I think my netbook settings were the problem, not the hotel's wifi
