Stayed twice, in different rooms, both were decorated inexpensively but attractively. En suite toilet & shower were small but private. Rates were fabulous. The first stay was 1 night, the second for 3 nights (2 nights my adult daughter shared the room with me) and they didn't even charge for the extra person, as I expected, and asked if we wanted to switch to a larger room (declined because it wasn't necessary). A great value! Staff was very friendly, and I felt safe there. Great location near shopping, tourist sites, transportation, restaurants, and only 4 tram stops from the Caen Gare. Clean! Daughter's Mac laptop couldn't connect with Wifi in lobby and we had to go to McDonald's, but I saw at least one other person using the Wifi in the lobby, so maybe just an incompatible computer setting...? |

great location & value. Tip: park underground at Le Chateaux and walk three minutes down the hill to this hotel (8 Euro x 24 hours) cleanliness was a minor issue. no kettle, tiny towels |

room was good. shower was excellent. all very clean. staff friendly and welcoming. Position excellent only slight downside was lack of hotel car parking. Although relatively easy to park nearby, then the problem of when that car park was paying or free. |

This place is a gem, the staff is friendly and will do anything to make sure your visit is comfortable. The room was the most comfortable on our whole trip. Breakfast delivered right to your room everyday, what a great start. Short drive to the Normandy sights. No on-site parking, but we had no problem finding street parking close by. Just a great 3 star gem. Europe needs more of these. |

The front desk staff was very helpful (especially as we did not speak French). Also, the location was fantastic (center of the city near shopping and restaurants) for the price (85 euros). Walls are paper thin, and beds are a bit springy. |

It was the biggest European hotel room we had. It was also very close to shopping and dining - within walking distance of a lovely market area. The Chateaux Ducal is also just a couple of blocks away. Parking was a little difficult - but since we were there on a weekend we found a spot and just left the car there. |

The hotel was modestly priced, clean and very well located. Given the one-way system it was not too easy to find and parking was a problem. Staff very very helpful, but not English speaking, and breakfast arrived in the room when ordered. |

The hotel is located in the city center close to all the tourist attractions. The room was large and convenient for a family of four persons. The hotel does not have a parking so it might be a problem if you have one especially in the middle of the week. There is no elevator so you have to carry your suitcases in the stairs to your room. |

The hotel is in the city center and easy to get to everywhere It's a bit hot in the room, maybe some electrical fan will help a lot. |

It was very central to the historic sites of Caen, close to the river, the local bus station and close to shopping and restaurants. We walked from the train station with no difficulty (approx. 1km walk - although there was a tram that we could have taken right from the train station to the hotel - but we preferred to walk after our long train ride). It was very easy to find. The hotel was in a nice area of the city - we felt safe in this area. The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. Although the surrounding area was quiet at night, you were able to hear people walking up the stairs and in the halls, opening their doors - however during our stay it was not a problem (all guests were fairly quiet at night). The room did not have a fan and I do not believe that there was air conditioning (which was not an issue during our stay - but if it had been very hot, we may have been uncomfortable in this room). There was a small balcony with doors that opened to it - we usually had a good breeze coming into the room in the evening. |

Very helpful front desk, wonderful continental breakfast to the room and on time - clean and just a bit noisy from other rooms. Would definately stay there again and would recommend to friends. No screens on the windows for summer mosquitoes... |

Very spacious family room at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet at night - could sleep with the windows open which doesn't happen often in the middle of a town. Ideal with two young children. Very clean. Nice decor. Friendly staff. |

The location was great, the staff was friendly (though not much english spoken) and the room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to be right downtown, and the room was large compared to others we stayed in France. |
