Le Cheval Blanc is in the historic heart of Nimes, across from the Roman Arena and a 5-minute walk from Nimes Train Station. It has rooms with private bathrooms with air conditioning.
Score from 1052 reviews Very good
In the center of the historic town of Nîmes is Hôtel La Baume. It is a stunning, 17th-century town house that offers contemporary rooms with an LCD TV.
Score from 613 reviews Good
Located across from the train station in Nimes, this hotel provides low-cost rooms with free Wi-Fi access and satellite TV.
Score from 399 reviews Very good
Hotel Majestic is in Provence, just 1050 ft from the Arena and the center of Nîmes. Rooms are bright, spacious and individually decorated.
Score from 284 reviews Good
Location - minutes from the gare and all the local sights Windows that opened Tea and coffee making facilities Having a small fridge
No spa/pool Seemed very impersonal
Was easy to drive to and good parking facilities underneath.Room was bright and clean. Good value. Many good restaurants in the town.
The proximity to centre, the shops restaurants and monuments.
Excellent location in Nimes and for the surrounding area. (pont du Gard, Arles, etc.) Modern hotel, large nice clean room, comfortable double bed, and friendly staff. We didn't take breakfast, because we eat later. We've been to Europe 5 times, we highly recommend you consider this place. (and Nimes!)
Garage Washington good.
Central location, directly next to historic city centre.
Garage insufficiently large for all guests. Had to park in nearby undercover public parking most nights for 18€ per night. Room tight for family of 4. Hotel restaurant not best quality - eat dinner elsewhere (lots of good restaurants with nicer atmosphere in town)
The location is extremely convenient for Nimes railway station and thus an ideal base for visiting different parts of Languedoc and Provence. The hotel also has facilities which are highly satisfactory in every aspect. On this occasion I was also able to make a reservation for two friends who are both Japanese doctors, and they too as well as my own Japanese wife found every aspect of our stay satisfactory and pleasant.
The weakest aspect of the hotel was probably the service in the dining room, but with good will on both sides in plentitude this did not present a serious problem.
Finding a parking place in the parking area can be tough in weekends
Clean and all facilities worked well Good breakfast at reasonable price
Great location Decent-sized family room Good breakfast
Restaurant prices looked expensive
The hotel is really in good position
Small room for a.family -4 person.and expensive breakfast.
This excellent hotel is close to Nimes railway station and thus an ideal base to explore Provence and Languedoc.
Highly satisfactory in every aspect.
There is no elevator from the garage to the lobby! We had to carry all of our luggage up three flights of stairs. When asking the receptionist for help he refused! I have a bad back and cannot carry weight so my wife had to do all the hauling.
The hotel was responsive to every one of our modest requirements, and made a nine-day stay in Nimes a pleasant and memorable occasion.
I do not like not being awarded points by the Accor group simply because I reserved rooms for ourselves and Japanese friends through Booking.com.
Opposite a lovely park. Closeness of transport options. Close to major attractions and city centre. Clean area very enjoyable to walk around.
Breakfast was below average and not worth the amount being charged for it. Tour bus guests arriving late(banging room doors when coming in late at night) and leaving early in morning disturbing ones sleep.
Having to pay 12€ a day to park car in hotel!
Staff, location, overall experience.
Rooms a little dated.
a bit sterile but functional
One of the best Novotel that we have stayed. In front of a nice plaza and close to all the nice places in Nîmes which is a beautiful city. We loved it
Celine at front desk was excellent & helpful Nimes has more history than i thought Thursday celebration during summer
Great location a stones throw from the arena and station. Helpful staff, clean spacious room with comfy double sofa bed for the kids. Free wifi, good shower, what else can you want.
Breakfast ok, but wouldn't have wanted to spend 15 euros on it if not included in the room rate!
The room was spacious, and the location of the hotel is excellent.
We ordered in-room breakfast, but it arrived 45 minutes late and only after we had called the receptionist. No apologies. In general, the staff was not very friendly.
The location right in the middle of this wonderful city. Soundproofed rooms ensured a good nights sleep despite the partying outside. I would have enjoyed partying later but had an early flight!
Very clean room with a nice view.a large double & a very comfortable bed. Nice size & very clean on-suite bathroom with a separate toilet. As we were traveling with another couple, we had requested two rooms close to each other,on higher floors, away from the elevators. Our request was fully granted.
The only draw back was that there was no elevator from the underground parking to the lobby of the hotel.
The comfortable air conditioned rooms, beautifully cleaned by staff each day. The ease of getting around on foot.
We last visited in 2011. This year - 2014- we were confounded by the new signposts to the hotel due to the previous routes now being barred to traffic. After many minutes trying to get to the hotel I had to go on foot to seek the help of the desk clerk who directed me through the Arenes underground parking with free access for 30 minutes. Were we fraught!!
