This excellent hotel is close to Nimes railway station and thus an ideal base to explore Provence and Languedoc.
Highly satisfactory in every aspect.
Staff, location, overall experience.
Rooms a little dated.
a bit sterile but functional
Celine at front desk was excellent & helpful Nimes has more history than i thought Thursday celebration during summer
Very clean room with a nice view.a large double & a very comfortable bed. Nice size & very clean on-suite bathroom with a separate toilet. As we were traveling with another couple, we had requested two rooms close to each other,on higher floors, away from the elevators. Our request was fully granted.
The only draw back was that there was no elevator from the underground parking to the lobby of the hotel.
The comfortable air conditioned rooms, beautifully cleaned by staff each day. The ease of getting around on foot.
We last visited in 2011. This year - 2014- we were confounded by the new signposts to the hotel due to the previous routes now being barred to traffic. After many minutes trying to get to the hotel I had to go on foot to seek the help of the desk clerk who directed me through the Arenes underground parking with free access for 30 minutes. Were we fraught!!
Great location Good breakfast Refrigerator was useful
We used GPS to locate hotel and it tried to send us down numerous one-way streets (in the wrong direction.) Obviously not the hotel's fault, but still frustrating. Expensive parking, although we knew that ahead of time.
Kids loved the play room fitted up with X-Box Kinect. The location was perfect, right near the carousel (merry-go-round) in a beautiful area for an evening stroll. Wi-fi was excellent.
Difficult to get from parking garage to lobby with suitcases; narrow hallway and a set of stairs.
We lucked out when we picked this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful! The rooms were great and the breakfast is fabulous!
Love the location of the hotel. It's near to the Arena; within walking distance of less than 5 mins.
Excellent location, clean and very friendly staff,
Excellent friendly staff, very helpful and accommodating.
Dirty plates and cups at the breakfast buffet
Usual high Novotel standard.
Centre of Nimes has been replanned/streets closed. Impossible to access hotel by car/satnav. Park in Arena Car Park which has foot access right by hotel.
Very good location, helpfull staff, parking
Comfortable modern hotel. Central location on a major Park/square within walking distance of most major sights in Nimes. Very helpful staff.
Central location, staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good
Proximity to Railway and attractions
Room was at end of corridor after large group of rooms with noisy high school students from Italy. View out of window was over air conditioners and roof. Cups for tea were paper, not ceramic. Very hot to hold when you drink black tea.
Excellent position, very close to the Roman amphitheatre.
Room too small.
The location was great - directly across from the Arena with lots of shops and restaurants in the area too. The room was modern with great Wi-Fi for the 2 of us. We ate the full breakfast that included hot foods like eggs and crepes, while my parents chose the less expensive, continental style breakfast option located in the hotel bar.
The air conditioning in the room worked but we were still too hot and didn't sleep well, and the sheets felt scratchy and uncomfortable. Otherwise, the room and location were perfect.
The location of the hotel is excellent and it's a pretty enough hotel, there's also good wi-fi, the beds and pillows are comfortable, and the parking is convenient and reasonably priced (though it's a bit of a tight spot, but that's the usual in France).
This hotel had good bare bones but seemed to want to save money by skimping at every available, and noticeable, turn. We had a three-person room, but were only given two towels, there wasn't even a full extra blanket for the third bed but, instead, one of those really thin covers usually used in between the sheet and the comforter. The breakfast available at the bar (I forget the exact amount, I think it was 7 euros per person) looked as if someone had taken a miniaturization ray to it. It was half the normal size for a pain chocolate and, even for Europe, the one-sip espresso wasn't enough to drown a gnat in. I didn't think the people who worked there were particularly friendly, though, they were also not particularly rude. Also, be forewarned, normally at a large hotel such as this, some of the staff speaks English - not so here. That wasn't a problem for us but could be for others. Perhaps the doubles and singles are fine, which is why this hotel was rated so highly, but I was pretty surprised from the price and ratings that this hotel fell so short on expectations.
Excellent location ,cleanliness of the room
Breakfast not as good as most novotels I have stayed in previously.
Location. A short stroll from train station. Roman ruins.
nice place and clean restaurant good
difficult to find
Location is excellent. A few steps from the Arenes and right in front of the Maison Tourisme. The surroundings are also very nice. Multiple brasseries and restaurant options. The hotel was very clean and very comfortable for a family of four. We had a lit bebe in the room and were able to move around with ease. Overall, good experience.
Nothing. Everything was good.
