The location is great! It's very close to a metro station. The area is safe and quiet, yet not too far from all the happenings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was very clean and comfortable.
Location is good
Very very loud at night time, couldn't get sleep at all.can here every single sound surround our room,it was nightmare .maybe I am light sleeper. It's pity.
Pleasant staff, microwave oven and fridge in the room
There was no shelf in the shower
I stayed for just a couple of days. Wasn't expecting too much, just wanted a quiet and confortable place to rest. If that is what you looking for, go for it. Friendly staff, clean place. You can reach the subway walking 5 minutes or so. I had to share the bathroom, but that wasn't too much of a trouble.
Well, it's a tiny and humble hotel, indeed. Do not expect too much. The single bed bedroom it's small, and you do feel a bit packed. Also, it was a bit hot inside the room (I was in Paris during the summer). The neighbourhood is a bit boring, not much to see out there, I guess.
Location, Staff, Cleanliness, value of money, overall wonderful
The staff was so helpful!! Rooms are spotless clean. Location cannot be better - 3 minutes from metro! Bathrooms were spotless clean. Supermarket very close!
No elevator, but even the stairs was not an issue - the stairs are wide enough and we managed all fine!
Very close to Bastille, good neighborhood, quiet, supermarkets and cafes in the area. Clean rooms & bed sheets, bathrooms. Excellent WiFi. The room has micro wave + fridge + TV - something I haven't really seen in youth hostels before.
Towels could be a little newer, but they are clean. No elevator, but not that bad in the end.
Close to metro, 24 hour reception, very nice and helpful staff, helped with printing boarding passes; rue de rocquette is a block away with tons of restaurants and fun atmosphere, close to bastille square, safe
Room had an odd smell.when i first walked in but fine after airing out. Shower room was kinda stinky and could have used more cleaning or a fresh coat of paint. But i'm not really fussed about it
We were so tired and needed a clean bed in a quiet environment. We got much more!!! Thank you Sam at Au Roayl Mad for an absolute perfect stay!!! Liked....location, friendliness, clean, quiet, supermarket close by with lots of wonderful fruit, laundromat close by. bathrooms right next to rooms and so clean. THANK YOU!!!!
Excellent friendly and helpful staff, great location near metro and Bastille, good value for money and very quiet room.
Stairs, of course, but not so bad.....
yes, you could get stuck on the 6th floor and have to climb a ton of rickety stairs to your room, but i was on the 3rd floor and it wasn't a problem for me. hot water, wifi, cleanliness all top-notch! the rooms are beautiful with big windows, a microwave, fridge, tv and sink, and there are toilets and showers separate if you need them. lovely place, highly recommended.
cleaning staff did come in and take out my garbage/replace my towels without permission, which was only a problem because i dropped an important receipt in the garbage and wanted it back!
Staff VERY friendly and helpful!!
limited shower room (only 4 in total for the whole hostel) and pretty small; bathroom lock broken and dirty
The staff is nice, give a ice cream for free and helped with the adapter. The location is near to Voltaire metro station.
Showers are shared but clean.
Location is dirty. When going up the stairs, they feel unbalanced. Singular shared toilets not so clean. Rooms are too close together and small.
The WiFi works excessively.
There's a crimson spot in the bathroom.
- Clean room
- Location - I haven't find the shower
-Friendly and helpful staff (some have stronger English than others, but we got by just fine.) -Very good location for the price especially, near Pere Lachaise Cemetary and VERY near a line which runs directly to the EIffel Tower and other major sights. (Metro line to the Eiffel Tower was around 30 minutes.) Also possible to walk to sights such as Notre Dame if your group enjoys walking. (I think the walk was around 45 minutes.) -Reasonably comfortable beds and good shared bathroom situation (never had a wait for the toilet.)
-the wifi went out quite a bit in our last day or two there. However, there were two wifi networks, and the downstairs network continued to work well, so we could step downstairs for wifi. -Common in Europe but be aware that there is a possibility for a lot of stairs (5-6 flights). Recommended to email and ask for a lower room if this will be difficult for anyone in your party.
Very friendly staff. Close to Metro Voltaire.
Very basic but clean. You can't expect more for this price. Fair deal.
Friendly atmosphere, good location between two different metro lines. Clean rooms.
The hotel is neat Voltaire metro station, about 3 mins walk. There are some restaurants, supermarkets and pharmacies around, which will make your stay convenient. The staff will clean the room everyday. the shared bathrooms and toilets are kept clean.
The noise outside can be heard clearly in the room. Sometimes it is a bit annoying.
Brilliant staff, close to the metro.
The staff who were very helpful. The cost. Close to the metro, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was better than I expected.
Climbing 5 floors (no lift) No tea/coffee despite having a fridge and microwave in the room.
. Overall price and value . Location . Friendliness of the staff (gave good directions to!) . The facilities were clean maintained regularly
. Room did get a bit hot but open your windows and you should be right! . Room was small but you get what you pay for
Good location, quiet hotel with clean rooms and all facilities close to town. Bathroom and toilets although shared weer very clean and no que at all. Would recommend this hotel as it's a great value for money.
There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel maybe except lack of lift if you are staying on the top floor.
