Pleasently surprised at the size of the room, washroom(although outdated it did what it was suppose to do) and overall very "French" in feel. Great location for visit to Avignon. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. |

Simple and tastedful furniture. Quiet and peaceful with a beautiful garden. 12 minutes by foot from the station and main street. The web site should have warned me to ask for the front door entry pin code as I had no idea that the front door closed at 8pm. |

Location was excellent for those travelling by car - free & easy parking nearby and a quick walk to the city center - we stayed here six nights and made it our base for exploring the rest of Provence. Liked the Garden and the general ambience of staying in an old, quaint building. Triple room was simple but spacious, quiet, clean, and air conditioner worked well. It's good value for the money. One of the receptionists/staff had a rather sarcastic and sometimes unwelcoming attitude - the others were fine. Bathroom was very small and cramped but functional. No elevator, which is a bit of a challenge with luggage |

lovely Garden setting, good sized, comfortable room, fairly convenient location, just outside the city walls.Quiet at night. Breakfast in the garden was very nice with reasonable choice of food. Surrounding buildings and environment a bit scruffy. Heavy traffic to negotiate to get into the walled city. |

This small family hotel is a superb oasis of calm just outside the city walls. It is a fantastic place to stay and expereince all the sights within 5 easy minutes walk. This is hotel is a little jewel and will be my only choice whenever I go back to Avignon. Warning: if you like faceless charmless chain hotels where you wake up not knowing what country you are in then you will not like this place. |

Very charming hotel with nice decor and enjoyable garden. The double room we stayed in was very nice and comfortable. Not as near as I would have liked to central Avignon restaurants and shops. About 15 minutes to walk to the central areas and restaurants. |

Close to the historical center but it does not have public transports as alternative. In the discretion of the Hotel it is that the rooms count on Air-Conditional however they remove the controls of scheme them restricting its use. |

It was quaint alright...and reasonably priced for France...many little things could be fixed up to make it more comfortable and convenient....lighting could be improved...bedside for reading...mirrors for using a hairdryer....plugs in tub that work #20...decor in #20 was strange and not peaceful at all....bed in that room very uncomfortable...but it was OK.. rate and location reason for hotel stay |

The staff were helpful, with their Restaurant recommendations and so on, and the garden was lovely. The room was large, pleasantly decorated and very quiet. It is quite a distance from the centres of interest in Avignon, and there is no (or very little) public transport service on Sundays |

The double bed was very comfortable. We also liked the ancient stone walls of the hotel and peaceful garden. The TV screen was tiny and a long way from the bed, the remote control and a/c didn't work properly. |

Close to the train station and the River Cruise dock Multiple credit cards did not work in the hotel's card processor. I was required to take a cab, at my expense, to the train station to get Euros to pay for the hotel stay. |

walking distance from central station, quiet neighborhood. cleanliness can be improved, and the hallways are dark, especially if you don't know where the hallway switches are |

We really appreciated our trip in " provence" but first of all stay to the st roch hotel in avignon, the owners are really very king and friendly. The rooms are completely renoved and furnitures are very nice and trendy. Having breakfast in the garden during the warm saison must be really very nice and relaxing, and finally the quality rather the price have a very hight score. |

Several problems when we stayed: apparently the hotel's building an extra building so a lot of noise from the construction right outside our bathroom window. We could not ventilate and open the window because of the strong smell of paint and dust coming through. The garden is nice to use (sit, eat, enjoy). The desk closes too early-20:00. Breakfast is not a "buffet", don't buy it, eat outside. Eric the hotel manager told Booking .com that we can arrive until 21:30 but that we must notify him if we arrive later. When we called from the road to tell we will be running late and hope to arrive near 10:00 P.M., Eric was reluctant to provide us with the door code and the key. He did it only after I asked him again and later we saw all customers used this code to enter hotel any time of day! |
