Scenery from Dining Room wonderful. The meal was delicious. Staff attentive.
No heating in the Bedroom on a very cold and windy night. Took a while to get warm.
The location of the hotel is good for access to local shops and the countryside. The cafe next door is excellent.
The bar wasnt open in the evenings. The wifi didnt work much if at all. The breakfasts were nothing special The attitude of some members of staff was disappointing, and the lack of a lounge area meant we had to sit outside in the evening.
It seems that this is the best hotel in town so all is relative...
After riding a whole day and going up the street that leads to the hotel (1 1/2 miles of steep up the hill ride) we got a room on the THIRD floor with NO elevator.... not good...
Comfortable room and excellent food
Closure of dining room on Monday and Tuesday evening
The restaurant was excellent (ate 2 evening meals). The room was clean, but worn. The staff was friendly and competent.
The stairs were very narrow and steep (we were on the top floor) and there did not seem to be an alternative exit in case of fire.
Spotlessly-clean room, friendly staff, good restaurant - all the traditional virtues of a Logis hotel in a small French town. The room was quite traditional too, with cream decor and 1980s bathroom. But everything was clean and well-maintained. Something of a relief to find a hotel room that hasn't been "updated" with the hideous purple-and-grey wallpaper and flimsy black furniture that has invaded French hotels in recent years.
I could't get the WiFi to work at all. The room seemed beyond its range.
"en route" stopover, selected for location and price - and met those criteria. Staff were eager to serve.
Banging shutter on nearby room disrupted sleep, and we couldn't find any night staff to close it. Minimal choice at breakfast.
It was cheap
There was no lift so we had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. The reception staff spoke no English. There was no Air Con in the rooms.
Large room with great views
Restaurant closed Sunday evening, alternatives not a great choice!
The view from dining room and bedroom. Excellent.
Restaurant. Poor quality cuisine overpriced. Overall air of snooty pretentiousness not matched by what was on offer. WiFi so weak in my room unusable. I am told that to-be President Mitterrand stayed there. Big deal! Hotels are measured by what they are not what they were.
Superb cuisine at a very fair price - ie less expensive than others we have visited. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room price also very reasonably priced
