La Salvetat, a charming 3 star hotel, is located just outside Cadouin (famous for its Cistercian abbey). It is perfectly situated for touring Sarlat, Bergerac, Perigueux, Les Eyzies, Monpazier and Lascaux. This is also a place to come just to relax, to discover the regional cuisine of the Dordogne, or to enjoy any number of activities, including hiking , eating and drinking, visiting vineyards, cycling, tours of grounds and chateau, water sports and much more. Lounge by the pool, with its gorgeous views out over the surrounding countryside, linger over a drink as the sun goes down, enjoy meals of local and regional specialties on the spacious outdoor terrace or around the big open fireplace in the dining room of the restaurant. PLEASE NOTE: the restaurant is closed every Sunday for dinner and every Monday for lunchtime. Hotel Rooms: 14, Hotel Chain: Logis International.

Very well kept hotel, very friendly staff, super owners. Superb views, nice pool, nice rooms. Comes with the countryside, but the cock started it's chant at 5 am.

The hotel buildings are lovely and the room was immaculate. The person who made up our room even folded my pyjamas and laid them on my pillow; I felt pampered! The owners are very friendly, interesting and accommodating. Our dinners were exceptionally good; definitely a gourmet experience.

The hotel was very nice and location superb, the staff were friendly and excellent. Evening meals vg. All very nice but the breakfast could have done with some ham, cooked meats and additional cheese this would have made a big difference.

What a find. We booked this small, family run hotel in the Dodogne on our way back up from Spain. Hosts Ann and Steve and staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful (our French is poor!) we wanted to stay for longer. Wonderful location, charming rooms, waterfall pool, excellent food and a breakfast which has more choice than the standard continental offering - my husband really enjoyed boiling his own dippy egg! A really special place - we will definitely return but for longer next time as there is so much to see close by. Couldn't stay for longer!!!!
