The hotel was very quiet and had a restful ambience The food was a delight.Even the cheapest menu had a varied choice of delicious and beautifully prepared food.It was lovely too that the restaurant served food from 7p.M.We are early eaters at home and most hotels in France do not serve till 7.30 P.M.The breakfasts too were good with a wide and plentiful choice. We had a thoroughly pleasant three nights here. Being late September the mornings and one night particularly were very chilly. It would have been more comfortable with a little background heating.

The rooms are comfortable, a bit faded, but the service more than made up for that. The restaurant is a must. It was without doubt the best meal I've eaten for a very long time. The menu is extensive - mainly fish - and the staff knowagable about wine choice etc. First class.I would definately recommend this hotel without reservation. The village is extremely pretty and very near the ports of Caen, St Malo and even cherbourg. Le Mont St Michel is about an hours drive.

Convenient stop-over. Breakfast staff were very pleaseant and helpful. Ferry to St Malo delay resulting in a late arrival around 11.30pm. The hotel had been informed but all the lights were out making it difficult to locate!! Had been given a telephone number to call for door to be open....... The boss/manager was clearly not impressed at having to open the doors at that late hour. Certainly did not feel very welcome!

The food in the hotel was excellent and at a reasonable price for the quality. We enjoyed our overnight stay at the hotel and we found it to be very convenient distance from the ferry port of Dunkerque.

The location on the river was very peaceful and the hotel had very pretty grounds to walk and sit in. Also very convenient for shops and visiting an old chateau within walking distance. Restaurant very good too. It also had secure parking which was essential. The choice of cheese was limited. They ran out of Roquefort which was very disappointing as it was our favourite and they said they had no more to offer.
