Rooms simple, well appointed and well done.
Food just Ok, nice menu but a bit more taste would have been good.
Beautiful surroundings and gardens. Spacious comfortable bedroom. We stayed only one night and the restaurant was already fully booked but we found a very pleasant restaurant on the shore road about 15 minutes away.
Everything, always used to stay for our anniversary, but not in last four years. What a wonderful surprise and most of all a fabulous chef and his charming wife. Special mention, Johnathan the maître d, nothing too much trouble.
Beautiful development in delightful grounds that has been very tastefully decorated and fitted out. Excellent restaurant.
Nothing to dislike.
The gardens and property were beautiful. The bed was comfortable and the food was great.
The staff in the evening were unhelpful. The restaurant menu was beautiful, however unsuitable for children. The staff (all men) told us we could not have children's meals, which we accepted, only to find the family sitting opposite us had two child's meals which the chef had prepared. This made me very angry whilst I'm trying to feed my children raw salmon and foie gras! Despite not being the kind of people to make a fuss we asked why this was, at which point children's dinners were prepared. There is so much potential for this hotel if they had a proper 'host' overseeing dinner guests. The men/boys who were in charge that evening truly lacked hospitality. Agree with the other reviewer - there is nowhere to have a drink or even a cup of coffee outside meal times.
rooms were good
the location stuck at the bottom of a wooded valley very close to other houses, there was no or very little grounds , no pool , no grounds to stroll in or terraces, to sit at , very twee and old fashioned and very over priced.
Location, beautiful gardens, comfortable room.
Expensive but limited menu. Very expensive wine list. Lack of a bar with list and cost of available drinks. The Salon was small, sparse, poked away and not very welcoming. I think we were the only ones who used it all week.
Gorgeous property. Beautifully restored buildings w up to date bathrooms. Very comfortable.
Seemed a bit short-staffed at times.
This is a charming and very special place.
Setting, location & landscaping of facility.
Breakfast not included. In my experience there are excellent B&B facilities throughout France against which this hotel competes.
The beautiful location close to Honfleur...we liked the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Honfleur.. It was nice to come back to after touring. The dinner was excellent and breakfast also very good although a bit pricey. The bed linens were exceptional and theros very clean.
Our room was quite small with no place to store our luggage... Our clothes were all out in the open.., that was strange. The greeting on our arrival was not particularly friendly and we had to carry our bags from the parking lot because there was no signage.....
Garden was lovely. Sat round the pond with the sun going down. Easy parking. Dinner was good. Very comfortable bed and pillows and lovely bedding.
Staff a little scarce. Had to wait for room even though arrived well after check in time. Water was very hard to control temperature. Too hot and as there was only a bath in the room with a hand held shower, it was difficult to rinse hair. Dinner was good but not many choices. If you were vegetarian or didn't like fish, you could be hungry. Only french channels on tv.
Excellent meal in a beautiful diningroom. Peaceful, quiet setting. Service was impeccable.
Parking was limited, especially when returning to hotel late at night.
Lovely location. Quiet but not far from other restaurants although their restaurant very good.
No bar. You had to sit straight at table. We were put in a side room for a drink before our meal. Such a lovely place sure they could have made a small relaxing bar for pre/after dinner drinks. Put us off eating there other nights.
Site was very peaceful and very nice. Great if all you want to do is get away
Access was a little tough - the last 3 to 5 kms were very narrow roads through a forest.
Very pretty setting
The lack of focus on customer service-we really had to push to have our requests met. The cost of both the accommodation and the dinner were high compared to every other hotel we stayed at in France.
Room was too small, food over priced
Beautiful quaint Auberge. Setting very handy for Honfleur and Deauville.Very clean. The staff were very helpful.
We paid 0ver 700 euros for 3 nights in one of the suites Breakfast was not included in this price. Our room had no mini bar and no tea and coffee making facilities. There was one small bottle of water in the room which was not replenished in the three days we were there. I thought this was disappointing level of service for the price.
A very nice hotel
Beatiful setting with great hikes nearby and a good restaurant. Wonderful bread at breakfast! Definitely recommended!
Common areas were a bit small. No cozy fireplace in the common area. Dinner was good but could be really special and a world-class chef could really make this a destination hotel.
Very tastefully decorated, lovely tranquil garden and idyllic setting in a small hamlet. Fabulous food. Fantastic staff who are always friendly and extremely helpful.
Tiny room, no space to put our suitcases, cramped space for sitting.
The comfort and beauty of the wonderful restored buildings and the beautiful grounds. The attentive staff, especially the manager, Veronique and the best food we enjoyed in France in their lovely dining room.
Al the small details like the toileteries, the lovely comfortable bed, the garden and the best evening meal we had all week!
