Auberge Des Chasseurs  

We have been frequenting the Auberge des Chasseurs on and off for 20 years and have always found monsieur Lamy to be the perfect host. This delightful inn is 20 mins north of Geneva, in open wooded countryside on the edge of the Jura mountains - on a clear day you can see the huge fountain in lake Geneva, and Mont Blanc beyond. It's an idiosyncratic place full of character, but the food (and wine list) is excellent and the service friendly and happy to go the extra mile to help. There is a large stone flagged terrace ouitside with stunning views over the fields and woods below and a swimming pool complete with bathing huts for changing.

Warm welcome. Excellent decor everywhere. Superb cuisine. Many years since our last visit, but liked it as much as ever.

Staff was very friendly and efficient. The food in the dining room is absolutely amazing. Don't miss it.

Rooms are a bit basic, but that's part of the rustic feel.

As I had to travel on business I cherish the convenient location - ie close enough to Geneva- In other words: I shall return next year and told lots of friends about the place - which is why I need to block a room immediately before they snatch away my room !!! Very friendly staff - from cleaning lady to receptionist. Original layout of the auberge, a place with charisma - charming, very French. In short: please, keep your prices reasonable so that I shall return and stay longer! Best of success with your Auberge des Chasseurs.

Lovely furnishings, warm reception, quiet surroundings, beautiful views.

It would be nice to have wi-fi in the rooms, not just in the salon.

A beautiful setting at the foot of the Jura moiuntains with a view of Mont Blanc on a sunny day. Transport is essential unless you a serious backpacker/hiker. Echeveneux is isolated with no transport or shopping facilities. A comfortable inn with plenty of character.

Very nice hotel. Not difficult to find if set gps correctly. The staff is very helpful and the food is excellent

A nice, comfortable, not too large hotel. Very well situated with a view on the Mont Blanc( if skys are clear). Closeby a number of nice golf courses. And if you want to a shopping day, Geneve is at a 20 minutes drive distance. Good kitchen and good general service. Internet was not working during our stay.

On arrival at the Auberge we were made to feel very welcome with our small dog and were especially happy with the accommodation. Our room #4 was very comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious. We enjoyed the country setting with terrace overlooking Geneva and the mountains in the distance. The hotel is extremely well-run by M. Jacques and his helpful staff. The breakfast had a very good selection and the two dinners during our stay were delicious--especially the ravioli! We would certainly recommend this auberge to others and hope to return again one day.

Wonderful situation immediately underneath the steep wooded slopes up into the Jura and very pleasant building. Unusually excellent food though rather too rich for more than occasional enjoyment - unless you're used to it. Stunning view of the Mont Blanc massif if the weather is clear. Staff generally very friendly and helpful but unobtrusive.

The rate we were charged for the room may not have been the same as we expected from the Booking.com website, but I haven't checked that carefully as yet. Their food is expensive, though in relation to its real quality not at all outrageous.

Staff very accommodating, beautiful old hotel with rural views, good food, comfortable rooms

Beautifully decorated in a unique style that made it thoroughly charming and warm. The restaurant is first class and all the staff were friendly, helpful and charming. The hotel feels intimate.

Es handelt sich um ein sehr schön eingerichtetes klassisches französisches Landhotel in ruhiger wunderbarer Aussichtslage mit einen sehr guten Restaurant - ideal geeignet für Kurzurlauber, die der Genfer Hektik entfliehen wollen.

Im späten Herbst und Winter ist es geschlossen.

L'accueil est très chaleureux. Très flexible pour la réservation. Le paysage est magnifique. J'ai aussi vu une piscine, mais malheureusement, il fait encore très froid, mais ce serait un atout en été certainement.
