We found the staff very helpful with advice in where to find a pharmacy, and they provided us with an iron very quickly. The food served is quite good quality/price ratio. Comfortable bed, great view.

Huge potholes on the drive to the parking lot behind the hotel.

The feminin staff was great and the premises were very clean...

The masculin staff was unpleasant. Poor soud proofing... room's door was really noisy, could hear snorring from adjacent rooms.....

Great building, good wholesome grub and the eccentricity of the Fawlty Towers like set-up!

Room v run down - bathroom window propped open at odd angle as one hinge had broken; shower curtain barely suspended as half the brackets had been pulled out; and choicest of all the entry to the breakfast room through the Gents toilet!

The lady at reception was pleasant and helpful. The evening meal (Menu at 18 euro 50) was very good. In essence the hotel is a splendid building, but..........

The hotel is a little run down (and the concertina plastic door on our bathroom was broken, for example). The man (proprietor?) who served our evening meal and breakfast, and took our money in the morning, was rather surly and seemed a very reluctant host. The hotel did not accept credit cards, a fact unknown until we arrived. Our host was not helpful in advising the whereabouts of ATMs for us to get more funds. This place needs a change of management, a makeover and promotion. Also, when booking this place, one should be made aware that it is not in Venaco, but in St Pierre de Venaco - that might make it easier to find!
