A really nice out of the way hotel. Excellent for the cost. Only booked as an overnight stop, but would like to go back again in near future for a longer visit.. At least we now know where to go! Beware the GPS coordinates and position on map do not correspond to position of the hotel.... Following GPS brought us to village of Clerques, as or ferry was late arrived there at 21:30 on Sunday night in November - no street lights and no hotel! After a telephone call a girl came out with her car and escorted us down to the correct location! - don't think we would ever have found it without her help..... |

Once we found it it was okay, very quaint and friendly The 19.50 euros menu was actually the smallest meal i,ve ever eaten. The breakfast was more substantial than the dinner. Stairs inside very steep not suitable for the elderly or linfirm |

Location for Calais Ferry excellent, pleasing, quiet environment. Dinner was superb, choice of dishes including vegetarian, outstanding, and polite efficient service. Slightly difficult to find due to lack of signpost on road and the fact that address given was Clerques but that it is in Audenfort. |

The beautiful surroundings and the fascinating workings of the water mill and stream running through the hotel! Food was gastronomique if a little 'nouvelle cuisine'! Service is a little slow but food well worth waiting for! We also had to be up early the next morning to catch our ferry and the owner of the hotel opened for breakfast earlier than they should have done after being in the kitchen until very late on the previous night! A beautiful country retreat - be prepared for peace and quiet with no TV or radio. Blissful! Staff were a little slow to respond to customers. Dinner supposedly began at 19:00 but we were still sitting outside at 19:40 because nobody told us the dining room had opened. We then waited another 10-15 minutes for menus to be brought to us - without any apologies! It's a family run hotel so they may have been short-staffed and the food was worth the wait. A bit more 'charisma' from the staff wouldn't go amiss though :) |

A pleasant hotel in a converted water mill, retaining its character and machienery in entrance lounge. We stayed in the single storey building to the rear - the room was light, airy and clean. Food good. Nice quiet atmosphere in the countryside next to the mill stream and ford. |

We stayed here overnight on our way south. We enjoyed a warm welcome and very comfortable family accommodation, with a good french breakfast. We would like to return for a weekend to enjoy the lovely countryside and sample the restaurant. |

This hotel is in a beautiful location alongside the River Hem with the mill stream running through the actual building with all of the old grinding equipment still in place. It has a unique character, is very French and the restaurant serves top quality food at excellent prices. The rooms are charming and the staff extremely helpful. Be prepared to step back in time and move at a slower pace! |

Friendly staff, pleasant surroundings, interesting old building, good range of menus, well cooked food, well placed for Calais. Cheap fittings in the rooms, very noisy toilet cisterns, noisy floorboards, no sound insulation between dining room and bedrooms. No shower curtain, no ventilation or extraction in windowless bathroom. |

Prima service: we kwamen aan om 20.30 uur en konden nog heerlijk en uitgebreid eten! Rekening was niet juist, er was iets te veel aangestreept op onze bon. |

Leuke, centrale ligging in regio Cote dÓpale; goede wandelmogelijkheden. Gezellig ingericht (oude molen).
