The proprietor was so accommodating, breakfast excellent, beautifully restored home, which enhanced our stay. Would loved to have stayed longer.
Character of auberge and room Spacious room Location within a lovely medieval town Friendly hosts
Character, comfort, friendly, quirky, nothing too much trouble, and I will be back!
That I couldn't stay longer!
Beautiful old building, good location, very peaceful. Owner friendly and helpful. Furnishing of the building was in keeping and very attractive. Nice breakfast with excellent coffee included. All in all I would wholly recommend staying there.
Fantastic old character hotel located in a quiet area of the old town with everything within walking distance.
Lion D'or were very welcoming, it is a beautiful property, wonderful breakfast.
the easy going nature but a strong desire to please by the proprieters.
the en suite facilities were a little unusual. but clean and efficient
Fantastic, helpful owners
Pleasant welcome. Excellent breakfast Centuries old building Quiet location but easy to walk to restaurants etc Parking nearby
The guesthouse is very well located and run by a charming Dutch couple who speak fluent English. They could not have been more welcoming and went to great efforts to ensure that my dietary requirements were catered for, for breakfast. Breakfast for my wife was fabulous with croissants, French bread; jams and local honey. Great location in the centre of town; perfect for exploring this lovely town. Car parking is a minute or so away in a large (free) car park. The Wi-Fi is fast, free and reliable.
The ONLY negative was the "en-suite" shower and toilet within the bedroom itself, with no door to the wc. This makes going to the toilet a rather public affair; not ideal.
A wonderfully atmospheric auberge and excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
Friendliness, good breakfasts, nice room
The hosts were superb. Nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfast was varied and delicious. My room was very spacious and I loved the antique knick knacks and ancient beams everywhere. Full of character, this Dutch couple made me feel instantly at home. A great choice.
My wardrobe, although large, had no facility to hang up my clothes.
