Auberge Relais Du Cheval Blanc  

The whole stay was excellent. The owner gave us a friendly welcome, the room was extremely well equipped and included tea and coffee making equipment. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the restaurant although we were advised that as the chef was on holiday the menu was restricted. We must go back when the chef is there!

There is nothing we did not like and we will use this hotel again when travelling through France.

A small, friendly family run hotel. Very simple but comfortable rooms which were spotlessly clean. As an overnight stop it was perfect. The basic dining room served a good selection of dishes cooked by Monsieur who has cooked for The Duchess of Windsor and the French President in the past. It is very much a typical, small French village hotel and we would stay there again.

The bar was closed on Friday afternoon after we arrived!!

This was a fabulous stay in a small village hotel. The staff were very welcoming, our room was excellent, clean and tidy and with tea/coffee making facilities. We had an excellent evening meal, one of the best in many years of french travel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Auberge Relais Du Cheval Blanc. The room was very comfortable. The evening meal was excellent and the service was very good.

The room had everything you could wish for and the staff were very friendly. We both enjoyed the breakfast in the morning

Not the hotls fault but the Church next door had the bells ringing on the hour and the half hour all through the night, OK if you can sleep through the sound of the bells!! Also I had not read the small print that the restuarant was closed on Thursdays and there is no where else to eat in this pretty village we had to drive to the next village.

It was very clean, and the room had tea and coffee making facilties. Very peaceful setting in the heart of lovely countryside, yet easy to find and not far from the main routes between Le Mans and Tours. The bedroom was a good size.

Not all the promised facilities were available, including no uk tv channel (engineer expected), the dvd player did not work, internet connection was very spasmodic, the swimming pool was not available and I did not realise the restaurant was closed on Thursday eves so ended up doing a 30-mile round trip to find somewhere to eat as many restau.ts were closed in the evenings out of season. Bearing all this mind, maybe a little expensive. .

Relaxed, friendly , clean comfortable rooms, good food

We stayed here before when it just opened and were impressed by the warm reception that we were given, not too formal but very helpful. This time it was the same but it was enhanced by the developed garden and pool. There were tea-making facitlites in the room - so unusual in France.The furnishings were tasteful and comfortable. It must have made an impression on English travellers as there were quite a few there. The food and service were good and the tranquillity of the small town - village really - is welcome.

Due to delay on our drive from the ferry we did not arrive till 8-30 .they gave us an excellent meal and service despite the fact that they normally closed at nine all the staff stayed on..the rooms were clean and well fitted close to the motorway it is an excellent half way stop we recommend it and will always stay there in future..

Good value for money. Lovely, quiet location. Good Restaurant, friendly staff. Small pool - great for kids. Perfect place for breaking up long journey, or short break.
