Highly recommended. Staff wonderful, hotel is in a stunning location with lots to do, we stayed another night because of this. The room was lovely we had a big balcony and lots of space. Food is fabulous .
Nothing bad at alll
Only 1/2 hour from Strasbourg airport. Comfortable room with views of castle, vineyards and village. Excellent location for vin route. Great breakfast, Restuarant a gem, will please any gourmet diner. Staff speaks English well and are extremely helpful and pleasant. Would definitely revisit.
We liked everything!
The room was good The view over the countryside grape vines church and high on the hill the castle OUTSTANDING!! From our room
The few steps down to reception. But once done the moving around the hotel no problem. Better description of location of hotel required
Staff were courteous, friendly and efficient
No WLAN in the room No Fridge in the room No Coffee/Tea making facility in room
The photo with a breakfast on a tarrace was misleading - it is served in a small dark room. Rooms differ a lot in terms of comfort. In most of them there is no shower.
Beautiful location and receptionist very helpful
Food seemed overpriced
the staff is nice and friendly
- The beds are too soft that caused us both back pain the next day - room has no air conditinor, we opened the windows but mosquito coming in
Nice and quiet. Friendly staff that had no problem waiting for us for a late check in. It's not a modern hotel, but more a hotel form the 60's, 70's, but charming and confortable. Good location.
Room with balcony
Dinner was set in a side room, not in their delightful dining room. This was for the convenience of the staff, not for the pleasure of the guests! Are the staff more important that the paying guests?
Lovely location in the village, and members of staff were very helpful and cheerful - especially as we did not have aircon in our room (temperature in excess of 37C) and a fan was provided for us. The staff did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Would definitely stay again.
No aircon in our particular bedroom. Next time we will ensure that we request a room with aircon. Wifi was very slow in our room - however there was a much stronger signal in the public areas.
Beautiful town in wine country with a beautiful hotel. Close to restaurants. Was on our way from Dijon to visit Natzwiler Struthof labor/extermination camp( only Nazi camp in France)).
Location and food quality
Would prefer walk in shower
Warm, friendly welcome, friendly and professional attitude of staff at all levels, food, wines, cleanliness, views from our room - in fact eeverything.
Very few tourist amenities in the immediate vicinity.
Location The view The style of the architecture and furniture in the hotel
Check-out was taking a very long time - and the guy at the reception, who was handling it all alone, with a large queue of customers in-front, was making jokes about it being a regular situation... - I'd think that needs to be changed.
old rooms and furniture, no free water, breakfast below expectation
Superb location, wonderful views, Comfortable French styled bedrooms. Attention to detail. FOOD &WINE!
Staff made an extra effort for us to accommodate our arrival just after lunch time - they held the kitchen staff back so they could provide us with lunch. Very grateful - great hotel with old world charm and a wonderful restaurant. Superb staff makes all the difference!
location attractive, friendly, dog-friendly, good breakfast
having stayed in this family run hotel 10 years ago it did not disappoint a second time. Very comfortable spacious accommodation. Meals of high standard.
A little disappointed that for two of three nights booked only menu du jour on offer.Meals on offer were very good but were actually more expensive than some on regular menu and with no choice. A little unusual.
The village was lovely and we were there for the new wine festival which was very enjoyable to see local customs and taste the new wine which was new to me.
The hotel needs some refurbishment and is old fashioned in their outlook. Nowhere to sit outside and have a drink in a garden, there is a terrace but it did not seem to be open. The room did not resemble the picture that the hotel uses in its website. it was expensive for room only as we had to pay 12 euros for breakfast on top. We had dinner on the first night but visited other restaurants for the rest of our stay. There was a special offer for half board on the reception but we were advised that this would not be applicable to us as we had booked in advance.
Clean room and Good food in the restaurant.
Excellent location, friendly owners and staff. Delicious food. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
Hotel was spotless, our room spacious with great view from balcony to castle Koenigsbourg, village absolutely charming, and staff very helpfull
Food in Hotel restaurant limited and a bit expensive, breakfast not worth 12.50 Euro each, one small slice of local cheese to finish dinner cost 5.50 Euro!!
The man at the reception was very helpful. The restaurant tables are beautifully laid giving one the charm of the vineyard atmosphere. The room has a little vintage touch on its furnishing that gives one the vineyard ambience. The bath/wc is clean and the beds are comfortable. The room has a air-con which is absolutely wonderful with this hot summer. The location is not too far from the highway. lt is an ideal location to start the Alsac winery route tour from this side of the mountain which was fantastic for us.
lt would be good to have car park spaces for hotel guests separated from restaurant customers. That would be added peace to the whole vineyard tranquility experience.
