A very warm welcome and friendly hospitality from Saly (and her relaxed dog and cat). Perfect double room with beautiful view from the first floor (there is also a very well equipped apartment on the ground floor, suitable for self catering). Location just right (on edge of large village, easy to find, with village centre only a few minutes walk). Would definitely recommend this upmarket B&B for a welcoming peaceful stay.
Don't be put off by the final approach (100m along a narrow street next to a storm drain!)
Electric kettle in the bedroom ! Very warm welcome.
Quite difficult to find
The place and its quiet surroundings. Breakfast on the porch was relaxing.
Ein Ort zum entspannen und wohlfühlen
We were made to feel very welcome by the hostess. Secure parking. Good range of food for breakfast. Recommendation for evening meal was excellent and within walking distance.
Garden and entrance to the property needs attention - work in progress. Neighbour's dogs were barking first thing in the morning, apparently not usually a problem.
We liked the setting, on the edge of Capestang overlooking the ancient marsh. Our hostess Sally was welcoming and treated us like family. She went out of her way to be helpful. Her B and B combines old world rustic charm and modern convenience. The bathrooms in particular were up to the best modern standards. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh figs and tomatoes from her garden. We only stayed one night, but we would have been happy to stay there for several nights.
Nothing, it was all good.
