In the Parisian Latin Quarter, Hotel Abbatial offers private rooms. It is less than half a mile from the Notre Dame Cathedral and is close to Ile Saint Louis.
Score from 1391 reviews Very good
In the lively district of Saint-Germain, this hotel has a flowery interior courtyard and rooms with an antique décor. Odéon Metro Station is just 650 ft away.

The staff and general ambiance
Bed might have been a bit softer for my comfort
Excellent hotel in an excellent location. Staff were ver helpful.
The room was very comfortable, but the decoration was tired and slightly scruffy. It did let the hotel down, as the remainder of our stay was excellent.
This cute hotel is on a small street and not on a larger boulevard, which can be busy and noisy. It was quiet and in a great location for walking to so many places. The staff were extremely helpful when we needed their services and the rooms had everything we needed, although we didn't spend much time there.
Good area and really pleasent environment. Great stay for the trip.
The staff was very nice and helpful and the hotel was very well located from the centre of Paris.
The price was very high (about 185€/night) for a three star hotel even with a 40% discount from the booking web-site. The room was relatively small and simple (no carpet etc). We specifically ordered separate beds and the blanket provided was however shared between the two beds.
Location (relatively quiet side street, but very handy for Montparnasse); very friendly and helpful staff; lovely room; good breakfast.
Everything in the hotel was really nice. We didn't use the breakfast because it was expensive and we don't eat much in the morning.
It's far enough from the Montparnasse train station that you aren't in the middle of that grunge, but we ended up walking through that area a bit. It's also a little far from most of the tourist attractions.
Staff were friendly hotel was smart and clean and had a nice glass of wine on arrival. We got an upgraded room which was perfect. Good size for a Paris hotel. Close to main line metro station which we found easy to use. Close and walkable to Montpasse tower for excellant view of city and Eiffel tower.
Bed a bit hard if was to pick any faults.
Great breakfast Comfortable bed Tastefully decorated Helpfull staff Nice bathroom Great location
Location - walking distance to many things, great cafes and bistros nearby and lots of metro lines via Montparnasse or Saint-Placide Staff - very friendly and helpful Décor - classic furnishings with modern bathrooms and very clean
Having to sign into the wifi again every day (first world problems!!)
If you are looking for a place to stay that is full of character rather than those bland everywhere-the-same chain hotels, with all due respect, this is one of such places. In general, there is plenty of characterful small historic hotels in central Paris. You can smell the history that in many cases goes some 200 years back. This is a charming sort of establishment conveniently located near all important transportation infrastructure and within walking distance to many top Paris attractions. The service is excellent and breakfast very decent too.
The only two drawbacks I could mention is the room size (mine at least) which is OK for a single but all too small for a couple. And the lack of tea-making facilities. Otherwise, a perfect stay.
Fantastic hotel. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great location
No tea and coffee making facilities
Location is handy to many main visitor sites and there are a couple of close metro stations. The hotel is clean and the bed was remarkably comfortable. It was relatively easy to take the train to the airport however it was about a 5-10 min walk to the metro station with luggage.
Location and Alexandre the conceige was very helpful.
Our room very noisy right next to the elevator shower only half shower door. Constant wet floor. Beds not comfortable. Conceige for our first few days I feel not friendly.
Excellent service and recommendations for dinner and Metro information. Very close to Metro.
Staff were very friendly and particularly accommodating. We traveled with our 21-month old daughter and, despite their limitations in rooms, managed to find us a suitable solution for her to sleep in a cot. They took care of finding a taxi with baby seat to go to the airport (not an easy feat for the baby-unfriendly Paris transportation system) Location is excellent, particularly to experience the great restaurants around Montparnasse and the Eiffel Tower. Very clean and smart use of space.
Nothing, really. Slightly pricey, but expected, considering central Paris hotel market.
Concierge was really helpful, beds super comfortable and breakfast buffet very good
tiny dining room but good decor.
English speaking staff rooms very comfortable
bathroom could have been laid out better, difficult to shower and not soak bathroom floor
Staff were very cordial, helpful, and gently encouraged our French. Evening complimentary wine was a very nice welcoming touch. Excellent fish restaurant was recommended.
Room was small, but was as represented on booking.com. Lighting at bathroom mirror could be improved to remove face shadows.
Reception on arrival at hotel
Location, close to metro and train station. Comfortable beds, shower that works, tastefully decorated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff Complimentary wine, orange juice, and peanuts in the evening. Lovely living room in the reception area for relaxation.
Lack of tea making facilities in the room.
Comfy, clean and warmly decorated room and sparkling bathroom. Wonderful staff members who were able to guide me around town, advise on attractions, store my luggage on my last day after check-out, etc. Great location that's about a five minute walk to the metro and 30 minutes to the Louvre area. I much prefer the feel of this boutique hotel over a larger chain hotel. This will not be my last stay at the Aviatic! Highly recommended.
My only gripe is that the Wi-Fi connection in my room was weak. Signal came in and out, so I went to the lobby when I really needed to use the Internet. (Signal is great there.) There was a nice hotel app that I was not able to download because the Internet connection was so poor in the room.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who couldn't have been more accommodating to us particularly toward our 6 month old son. The hotel is beautifully presented and represents excellent value for money in Paris terms.
Only downside was poor wifi connection in the rooms, no issue in the lobby.
We had a brilliant stay in this perfectly located hotel. Staff and rooms were great.
This small hotel is situated in walking distance to the Latin Quarter and the Montparnasse train station. It was recommended to us by friends and turned out to be a very comfortable stay. The rooms are small which is typical for most Paris hotels but they are very nicely and comfortably furnished. A/c was also available in our room. The breakfast room is on the first floor and provides a good continental breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is very quiet. I can very much recommend this hotel if you want to be in a good location but a little bit off the main tourist paths. I also felt that the price was reasonable for the quality of our stay, in comparison to other hotels I have used before in central Paris
The complementary wifi did not work in our room, I think we were too high up in the building. It worked in the lobby though.
