loved the view
The older guy on reception was rude and aggressive. The room was dirty and dusty. The towels had stains on them.
Nice location and staff was helpful. Nothing extraordinary but a good balue for money.
It gives an impression of an 'improvised' hotel. But does the job for a comfortable budget accomodation.
The hotel is located in walking distance to Gare de l'est (20-30 min) and to Sacre Coeur (10 min). Breakfast is good and for a reasonable price (6 EUR) and will also be brought to your room if requested.
Not the best hotel for long sleep-ins, the cleaning ladies want to have their job done before noon, but that's a minor.
We were impressed with the location of the hotel... Just a few minutes away from the Sacre Cuore, which we could see from our window. Very lively streets too and just 2 stops away by metro, from the Moulin Rouge. Very good value for money! And the staff were quite helpful too.
Walking distance from Sacre Coeur, metro station in front of hotel. We can see Sacre Coeur from bed through the window.Clean hotel and good position for visiting Paris.
I have been in Paris three times in 8 years and I have always stayed in Avenir. Mostly because of the location, and value for money, with very decent rooms and cleanliness to a high standard.
Not that I didn't like, but just to warn that every time you go out you need to leave the keys at the reception. TV only with french channels.
I stayed in end November with my wife ,mom and a small kid(around 2 years). We took a 3 Bed room and seriously the view was just astonishing in night to see basilica with lights in night ...Looked like premium view in five star hotel.. My room was on 6th floor and i think every room on that floor has that view. there was lift so no problem as compared to other cheap options i had where i had to climb 5 or 6 floors as read in reviews. Metro station was just in infront . I would highly recommend this one if you are travelling to Paris with family
The location is just perfect. And the view stunning!
The place could do with more friendly. reception staff.
Cleanliness and location
It was indicated in their room details that they have satellite and cable channel. Ask to deposit money to watch television and it only in French language. It means throughout our stay there was no entertainment
Nice room with balcony in-sight of Sacre-Coeur. Right next to metro and bus stops. Lots of good cafes and restaurants in walking distance. Nice room with good bathroom. Very helpful staff. The room was very clean and wifi worked fine. We would recommend this hotel to friends.
very near the metro station Anvers, location felt safe, hotel is clean, found a good coffee shop (Costa coffee) on the other side of the street, nice hot showers, bed comfortable, near Sacre Couer.
far from the city proper, erratic wifi signal, lift very tiny-only for 2 people with carryon bags, weird that they require you to leave your keys each time you leave the hotel, no supermarket nearby.
Had a magnificent view of Sacre Coeur
The inability of some of the staff to attend our issues with respect. In our bathroom, the toilet was broken, and uncomfortabke to use. wouldn't stay there again
The hotel is close to 3 metro stations. Some rooms have spectacular views. It is close to Sacre Coeur and the Artists Corner. Lots of cafes around.
The daytime male receptionist is unhelpful and impatient. He made us feel uncomfortable when we asked for assistance. I have stayed in this hotel before and recommended it to friends but I won't be doing that again!!
-excellent location -even though our window was facing to a busy street we couldn't hear the noise at all -very convenient as grocery shop, coffee shops, restaurants are within walking distance -clean -wifi worked well on the 4th floor After all we only needed a clean place to stay and sleep and we got it!
-strickt check in time -tv has only frech channels and a €5 deposit to use it (its not the amount its the fact that the ad says differently and not mentiond the deposit) -bear in mind you have to pay at arrival
Fresh paintwork in rooms - door to bathroom that closes
Convenient location Comfortable bed in a quiet room
The room was in need of refurbishment
Traditional low-cost hotel in Paris. Metro is 50 meters away. Bathroom with big window and after renovation. Room with space for two people and luggage. Quick check-in and check-out. My room was overlooking to the street and boulevard (not to the wall inside).
Old building with small reception. Thin door not soundproofed. Metal key with ballast. Noise from the street and from the door. Breakfast cost extra and very simple.
Staff were helpful. Excellent location, near Sacre Coeur and Metro. The Lift. Our triple room was a decent size. Staff had fulfilled our special requests.
Stains on carpet, bedding and towels. Bathroom had lots of mould. Walls were very thin so could hear people in nearby rooms, or corridor clearly. Really could do with a lot of care and attention.
Good location & comfort bed.. And very good view of Montmarte church which our room located at 5th floor.. Like it^^
Wifi slow ;(
The location was great - very close to the metro station, and our room had an amazing view of the Sacre Coeur at the top of Montmartre. Lobby was open 24 hours, so we could come and go as we please (you must leave the key at the front desk when going out).
Wifi in rooms was apparently broken for the entire stay, and only available in the lobby. There was also a deposit required to get a remote control for the TV, and there was no way to use the TV without the remote.
Bed was comfy, and as we only had one night it suited our basic needs
Breakfast wasn't really much and finished at 9.00am
The metro was right across the road so very easy access into Paris. We were on the 5th floor with access to a deck so enjoyed sitting and watching activities with a wine. Loved the selection of restUrants in the area. Although I. A very busy area we had no road noise.
the building is old so everything is well worn. The floor creaked so were very conscious of the guests that were sleeping below us. The walls were thin so could here the other guests movements and talking etc, but they were relatively acceptable. The breakfast was adequate but not recommended for €6.
Good location, in front of metro
Really dirty, we had 3 rooms, and all of them was dirty and 2 of the rooms was full of bugs. When complained to staff, they ignored us and was rude, met another 2 customers in the reception and their rooms had bugs as well. Manager was polite, but he was the only one with a bit of education.
Dirty rooms, bugs and terrible WIFI
