Avignon Grand Hotel    

Some staff were friendly and helpful.

Checking in with a car is uneasy. Difficult to access at ground level, you have to enter the (paying parking) and the elevator cannot be used without a magnetic roomcard (which you still don't have). It's up to you to carry your luggage one floor up. Rooms were poorly furnished and those in the front suffered badly from the street noise.

Good location

* This hotel is a 3 star facility but not sure how they managed to get a 4 stars. It certainly requires some improvement as facilities are a bit tired. Breakfast was not a good value for money (paid 16 e p.p. for a basic continental breakfast).

Hotel is qiute good, room big enough,espcially in Europe.The room is not as luxery as it shows in the internet,but still quite leisure and comfertable. Internet is good,wifi in the room also.

The hotel in not located in the main street in Avignon,but walk 5 minutes. Price is high in local. There is a fat gril in the reception,bad service ,but boys are so good.

No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. Difficult drop-off for arriving guests.

Room is spacey for triple occupancy. Location is convenient and close to Avignon Centre station.

Despite train station location, quiet courtyard-room, large and generous. Parking under hotel!

My gps had trouble finding the place. 15 minute (but interesting walk) to restaurant square.

The WiFi connection was not good.

Size of room was good, clean, and seems to be well maintained.

Room was hot all day and night. Had to open windows every night to sleep but noise from street was sometimes unbearable. Laundry service caused problems when my shirts were not returned before I had to depart Avignon. Hotel had to overnight the shirts to my hotel in Paris.

Close to all sites easy walking distance for all ages

The room was spacious and well-equipped. It was 1 or 2 minutes walk from Avignon central station and just in front of the wall.

Plenty of space in the Superior room that we had booked for an overnight stay.

Hotel in need of a bit of an overhaul. A bit outdated. Not really what we had expected from a 4 Star. The staff in the Breakfast room lacked motivation and looked as if they would rather have been elsewhere. The breakfast was minimum standard.

The location is very good, just beside the train station center. The room and bathroom are big and comfortable. The WiFi connection is very well.

Not all the staff at reception could help us in English. The breakfast was too expensive, not very good value for money.

Friendly people at the frontdesk

Shower was partly broken. Could not be fixed during our 2 night stay. Room was smelly. We had to open the windows everytime we came back to the room. (This was wintertime december 2012)

Apart from the location, the staff and facilities were excellent

Air conditioning was a bit noisy at times and room seemed to have been occupied by a smoker previously or smoke smell came from air conditioning

Very nice location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Our room faced the courtyard and was very quiet.

Location is very good. Next to the Centre station and Bus station that can take you to either the TGV station or other nearby towns. Free WiFi and very big rooms.

Weird thing is that there are no coffee making facilities in the room, kettle etc.
