The hotel is suitable for whom going for activities and adventures, not for families those looking for relax.
Services and facilities in hotel. self service and far away from the roads You have to carry out the sautcases long way. One toilet in the appartment.
Our apartment was clean and well kitted out. The view from the balcony was superb. We stayed for two nights on our tour of Europe and this was one of our favourite places. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just be aware that Avoriaz is a car-less village - you need to park your car a little distance from the accommodation - there are trolleys provided that allow you to transport your luggage to the rooms.
Nothing we didn't like
The location of the apartment was excellent, and the block is well run.
There was nothing I didn't like.
Modern clean building and rooms
Small beds and kitchen
The studio was well equipped and made good use of the limited space. The Saskia unit was in a quiet area and the wi-fi worked well. It cost 2 euro for normal and 5 euro for high speed service, and it is worth it. Good value for money, if a bit old and rustic. Staff was attentive and towels got changed regularly.
The staff were very helpful and the location was good although this is not location that close to the access from the Prodain lift. For those arriving by bus/car its location would be very good. The ability to ski in and ski out was great. Reception was 24hrs which allowed me to check in and out when desired. Facilities are close at hand.
My main issue with this property is that whilst I had clearly booked the Saskia Falaise, on arrival I was allocated to a completely different property adjacent to the Saskia Falaise that is within the management of the same group. This 'practice' is misleading and therefore should clearly be stated at the time of booking to be transparent to customers and to avoid disappointment. I certyainly felt as if I had missed out on something better that I thought I had booked and paid for!
Lovely resort with easy access to everything including the slopes. Apartment was perfect for us - mum, dad and a 12 and 8 year old. Booked to be in the Saskia but was put in the Epicea. Never had a good explanation of why we were put there but it was fine.
The apartment was situated on the main access road which was rebuilt every night in the early hours, 3am ish, by the snow ploughs and piste bashers. Led to lots of disturbed nights. Think it was done more than normal as it was the end of the season so they had to move lots of snow around to keep it open. Would have loved a proper oven but its a small thing.
on the slopes location
would have liked a separate bedroom instead of beds that were the seating in the main room.
Location to amenities and restaurants etc. view over value, close to drop off point.
Good location and value for money. When stopping at Pierre & Vacances ski apartments before the staff have been rather unfriendly and a large deposit was required followed by an inspection of the apartment on checking out. This time none of these things were required making the stay much more pleasant
The apartment was basic and quite small for a family of four.
Lovely little apartments - incredibly well-equipped for those staying longer and wishing to cook - in a great ski-in ski-out location at the top of Avoriaz. Ski hire shop, supermarket and lift passes right on the doorstep too. Also pleased as was able to book an end of season three day mini-break rather than being forced to book for a week. Would def go there again - so much skiing available in the Portes de Soleil area. Had forgotten how good it is there.
I don't like a double bed where one person has to sleep against the wall - so I wouldn't book this for four adults unless on a very tight budget! We slept on the sofa beds in the living room - very comfy and great view :)
EXCELLENT LOCATION AND SKI ROOM AND BALCONY
1 BED STUDIO WAS CRAMPED FOR 3/4 AND A BIT TATTY
Basic apartment - bit on the small side but we didn't spent too much time inside. Quite comfortable and had everything that you needed. Excellent location and we were able to ski out.
Although you can ski out, skiing back in after a long day on the piste is not possible and it is quite exhausting poling back in. Car parking - as you are staying at the Residence there should be a special price that is offered to guests. Can work out quite expensive!
rooms absoultyl tiny for the number of beds
location to slopes ski in and out and the restaurants etc friendly staff all inclusive cleaning and towels free playstation 3 in the lobby
having to pay for internet - come on its 2014 lets have decent broadband web included in the hotel and for all your family gadgets not a rip off priice for only 1 or 2 items
Very clean, beds were made, towels provided (had brought own), great location
Location was great, restaurants, hire shop, bakery all below and you can ski up to the hotel. Reception for our building - the Malinka, was actually in a different hotel next door, but the staff were great and really helpful.
The apartments are very small for 4 people You get a ski locker but no boot warmers! So welcome to wet boots if you're staying more than a couple of days
Location, except if we'd known exactly which building our room was in, we wouldn't have lugged all our ski gear back and forth. It suited our needs perfectly for a short break with mates as we only used it for sleeping in. Would have been a bit cramped if staying for any longer.
No left luggage facility apart from the central resort one, which was payable.
Nice modern apartment, well furnished and equipped (coffee machine, washing machine, micro waves). The beds were very comfortable. Playstations available in the common room.
There was nothing I particularly disliked, but it would be nice to have daily somebody doing the beds, taking the trash bins out and replacing toilet papper/soap.
Location, plenty of hot water
Excellent value, Ski to the door, Very helpful staff, couldn't fault it!
Location was fantastic in the middle of the resort 1/2 way up the mountain. Skied straight out of the door onto the slopes. Beautiful snowy little town with every possible needs met...bar/cinema/shop/restaurant/swimming pool(!?!?!?!)
room was a bit cramped but not a problem for hard core ski nuts like us. My wife wouldn't have liked it as much.
Well equipped Clean Modern ski-out close to Falise Indoor Car park
wasn't quite ski-in ski locker small and no room for boots
location is good close to transfer drop off.
Apartment a bit small. Had booked for 5-6 but apartment was too small for the 5 of us.
The mattresses were comfortable. The hot water supply was good
The apartment was in poor repair with an inner door only attached by one hinge and a kitchen cupboard handle that kept falling off. No frying pan provided despite it being listed in the inventory.
