We enjoyed our stay at Bahia Hotel. Reading the other reviews helped manage our expectations, and understanding what a great value this property is for the area. I think this place is wonderful to stay for a family with a rental car. We did not have a rental car and while getting around by train is pretty easy on the French Riviera, this hotel is between stops and it was around an 18-minute walk to the nearest train stop. Not bad in the morning but when it's hot out and you've already walked all day, it was tiring. Otherwise, the location is great! There's a big store across the street and multiple restaurants within a 5-minute walk, all of which were good! There's also a coffee shop close by. We didn't have a great experience at the Hotels restaurant on the beach the food wasn't that great for the price and one of the servers tried to charge us for an extra entre and beer. The other server that corrected the mistake was very apologetic and gave me my money back but definitely check your receipt. One of the best parts of this hotel is the proximity to the beach and the pool! We loved being right by the beach and the pool was nice and there's even a kiddie pool which our 1.5 year old loved! The hotel didn't allow us to check in early but they did let us use the pool and held our bags for us which was nice. I'm not sure why other reviews complained about the rooms so much, the room wasn't large by any means but it wasn't small either, the hotel provided a travel cot for our toddler, and we still felt we had adequate room. I knew from the other reviews that the "courtyard" view was just an overgrown area in the middle which didn't bother me, we typically only sleep in our hotel rooms. The bed was comfortable, more than other places we've stayed in Europe; it had a mini fridge which isn't common and nice to have with little ones.

The service and staff were pleasant. The food was very good.

Great location, convenient parking, friendly staff. Room was very clean, we stayed in the oceanfront room, it was on the smaller size so if you have a lot of luggage maybe opt in for a bigger room. Great breakfast with plenty of choices.

Great position, easy hotel with good value for money. Fast check-in and uncomplicated in everything.

That the property has a parking area. The room is like a very simple motel, no much space but with necessary things. The mattress was very comfortable.
