Area was plant with plenty of services. Hosts were very friendly and value for money.

Bathroom too small. Bed was not comfortable. Distance to travel for sights and airport was far.

I got misled by the high rating of this place and seemingly friendly price. Marie, the host, tries and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and at home. But, let's be honest the place is of a very poor quality by all standards, just like a 1 or 2 stars place, maybe slightly higher by French accommodation standards. The other visitors were over generous about rating this place so high or simply they wanted to please Marie for her good service. The entrance in the place is a a really small hallway with a staircase full of cracks looking like it could collapse any moment, wearing the marks of the luggage hits on its narrow width. The place looks like nothing was done to it from 1970s in line (except the white paint) with the decor and pictures depicting some 60'-70' actors on the wall. For those looking to feel like being back to grandma's house it is a nice leap in the past, but for contemporary fees. The mattress is uncomfortable, being composed by 2 pieces, one higher than the other. The toilet is very small, the shower tub is 0.6 m x 0.6 m, no overweight people are recommended to go in there. The place is like a hostel room for budget students, and is overpriced for what it offers. As the place is behind a deli shop kitchen, at 7 am on Saturday morning, the kitchen staff were unloading the groceries and other food stuff for the day, making a terrible noise. At around 9,30 am a nice but unbearable smell of deep fried staff tickled my nose. When I went on the window to check the "appealing" smell coming in, I had the pleasure to also feel the smell from the trash bins deposited in front of my window from the kitchen. And if this was not enough the whole place is simply a construction site under renovation with all related issues. A bad place to spend your weekend or holiday. From the other room there were of lot of noises done by the working people I assume.

Marie is genuinely nice and smiley. She helped me to drag my huge bag in my room upstairs. Her warm and sweet welcoming makes guests especially foreigners feel at home in comparison to the famous Parisian coldness and xenophobia. Calm room. Plenty of skin care in a box . Hair dryer. Plenty of comfort food( cookies, chocolat eggs)with tea and coffee for free. Books and DVDs(Friends sitcom the last season) available. Close to RER . Frequent Train till after midnight to the heart of Paris ( 15mn) Close to Parking Lots (not free).. it takes 7 to 10 mn by car if there is no traffic jam to get the southern entry of Paris (porte d'Orélans) or the highway. Close to many French and ethnic restaurants as well pizza places. Close to MonoPrix for shopping. In short, I recommend this room for foreigners or French who have never been in Paris seeking not luxury and modern rooms but a kind and friendly stay in the cold Paris.

Although the decoration is nice and lovely, it is still a very old humid room that needs renovation. The bathroom and shower are too small that it could be a serious problem for overweight people. TV screen too small that made me sleep immediately. However, it didn't bother me because I needed badly to sleep after driving 6 hours from Geneva.

Amazing Marie, who is the owner of the room met me even I came after 10 p.m. and was ready to help with everything. The design of the room is wonderful. I'd describe it "made with love". You will receive autonomy entrance and nobody will disturb you. If I will need place in Bourg la Reine again - only BB room. Wish you Marie all the best and kindly advice to post photos of this wonderful room :)

Staying at Edith Room was like borrowing a friends apartment a lot of personal touch. It was quiet and clean.
