The host is a very nice and ready to help person, house located not very far away from the city center (bus/tram station in proximity).
Old house that needs to be refurbished, our room was big, but on the ground floor and during night I was bitten by some insects several times and I got allergy and itchy red spots for more than 1 week.
Very friendly owner, very cute garden. The room is good and the breakfast excellent and rich.
I really enjoyed my stay at Villa Saphir. Owner Annie is very friendly and gave me lots of tips about Nice and travelling around. Breakfast was always fresh and delicious. Highly recommended. Excellent value for money.
The location was nice just in front of a bus stop. The host was very freindly and helpful. Wi-Fi in the room excellant. The rooms were old fashioned seen only in old movies but it is nice to experience such an environment
Anne was very helpful, she came outside and impounded a parking slot on the street for us until i turned back with the car. She gave us books about Nice and Cote d'Azure to check where to go next day. She is full of energy and very lovely. The breakfast was amazing, because of the hospitality you feel yourself as you are having a breakfast in your family.
You have to accept this house as it is. She is doing everything alone, so there will be never complete order. For the first time it looks a bit messy around but the hospitality she gives compensate for everything! A bit hard to find but here is a tip: if you are near No 32, you should watch the traffic lamp, and there is a crosswalk, where the stairs are for the Villa entrance.
The owner was very nice and helpful. Warm sweet
A bit far from downtown, difficult for parking
The host was very friendly and helped me a lot with my trip The place is an old villa, which has a lot of atmosphere
The facilities in the room weren't that great, but it is a 2 stars, so cannot expect too much
Staying there feels like visiting your aunty who you didn't see in years. Madame Annie was so kind and helpful, we shall definitely return!
Some comments were stating that the place needs some tidying up. True, but mind that she runs the place pretty much alone and giving great service and organising everything is a lot of work.
gigantic roach low security
Good value, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Very friendly lady beautifull villa in 19th century style with nice city garden The accomodation is not new but it matches with the style of the house :-)
A convenient location - easy to get to railroad station and airport. Bus 23 (to airport) stops 300 meters away. Tram - 5 minutes walk ("libération" stop). A very pleasant host!
a wonderful breakfast very obliging lady
the house is a bit neglected there were other people in the building (may be lodgers?) making some noise at night like coming back from a party which woke me up twice someone ate my youghurts from the fridge, which is avialable for the guests
The proprietress was very helpful and friendly. The Villa Shaphir was great!
If You are not in a hurry and looking for a local atmosphere, its just the right place: we adored the breakfast under the lemon tree and the turtle in the garden. Thank You, Annie!
Great place! Good location towards tram and bus stops! Annie is a wonderful landlady!
The room is big, confortable and clean. I feel like staying in my grand parents house, hommy and warm. the owner (mrs. Annie) is so helpfull, accomodative and very nice. She lets me to have breakfast in her dining room, and prepare any kind food i like for break fast. The location is perfect, very close to bus stop, and 15 minutes walk to the city center. the house is calm situation. I suggest to contact the owner before come to the house, so she will explain how to get there.
nothing i don't like, but if you prefer staying in the house, with warm wellcome and service, you can choose this guest house. Don't expect rigid hotel service.
At Villa Saphir you are being treated as at a five-star hotel. Madame Annie is attentive and helpful and there is nothing that she won´t do for you. At breakfast you are placed privately in a beautiful garden, even though there are more guests than you. Breakfast is sumptuous, abundant and delicious. The bed is the best bed we´ve slept in, in France, and Madame Annie´s two small dogs are well-behaved. Villa Saphir is close to restaurants, the tramway and trains, only a few tramway stations from the Centre of Nice. All in all a great, inexpensive place in an expensive city.
This is a rather unusual and quirky place but certainly has plenty of charm. It feel more like staying in someone's house than a hotel, and the lady who lives ther and runs it is both very welcoming and very helpful (and also speaks good English). Things are informal and down to earth. I liked it but others may not get it. Breakfast on the patio was nice.
The en suit bathroom was a bit of an after thought and wasn't that great though it did serve it's purpose.
The installations, room decorations, WC, bath room look old and small. Noice on the street wakes you up in the morning.
The hostess Anne is very clever and good women. Two dogs, one of them named Bob are so beautiful!!!! Recommend this residence for all, who like the atmosphre of real Provanse, and friendly people.))))
owner of hotel is very nice and helpful. great location to visit the beach, city or Monaco.
Anne is a very nice lady who will take care of all your needs. Big rooms are decorated in old-fashioned way. Highly recommended.
Everything was great!
Villa Saphir is a clean, cozy and very french B&B in the centre of Nice. It is a 20 min walk from the train station and the beach and shopping. The host Annie is very friendly and helpful with directions and if you arrive late. It is an old building, so nothing fancy, but if you like the french style and are looking for a budget room this is great.
The street outside is quite trafficated, but we had no problem sleeping anyway.
typical family style. love their garden. and the host is very friendly to all the guests and always willing to help.
