Location, bed, bathroom.
My card was charged wihout my consenment. AC on 24/7 in room which produces disturbing noice at night plus light in cupboard. Promised to upgrade me but didn't occur to make up for erroneous charge of credit card.
clean hotel it has a good receptionist (othman)
They have a very bad receptionist called Emad who have a very bad attitude, not welcoming at all and represent the hotel in the worst way. We will never come back again and I truly don't recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Paris
no view at all
- Location - Room and bathroom size - Cleanliness
- The general condition of the old building is not good enough (except lobby area) - Lack if any view from room located on the first floor - Construction works from 07am - Overpriced...
First of all the air condition was to hot for two days also they did big mistak the took the room charge two times from my visa card so i requist them to return my money to my visa as soon as possible Regard
The staff was friendly, and I was upgraded to a deluxe room while paying for a double.
The room service part isn't the most efficient and the menu is extremely limited.
Location is spectacular, within the throw of a baguette to the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Easy to find, beautifully placed, elegantly run establishment. Staff were are all excellent, but in particular the incomparable and charismatic concierge Patrick - we were waylaid in Zurich by the Air France Pilot Strike and with one email to Patrick he was in 10 minutes he was able to shift previously unshiftable dinner reservations we had at Le Jules Verne. Its this kind of silver service that really sets a place apart. Kudos to Hotel Balzac, will stay there again.
- Location. - Staff
What is mostly needed in a hotel room is a comfortable sleep and a good shower: Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not good and the drainage of the lavabo was very bad.
I loved the room and the location. Just a 2min walk and you are on the Champs-Élysées. It's beautiful and quaint, and the staff in the front lobby area are very attentive. I stayed at another hotel nearby, but it was more of a walk off the Champs. If you want a really nice hotel, that is close to the Champs, this is my first choice. Shower, Bed, Chairs, Size of room, I had 2 rooms there.. both were very nice and no problems at all.
The cost of breakfast was too much for what it was in my opinion, and when I asked for change (so I could tip) for a 20Euro the waiter at first didn't have it. I explained I just need a 10 and a 5, and the 5 was for him. He clearly understood me, but returned with just a 10 and smiled and walked away. I thought in my head.. "whatever, I'll just stiff him next 4 times", but he was off. I guess I should have asked for the change. But this kind of stupid behavior by employees to cheat tourists is what hurts hotels like this. Everything else was fine about the breakfast and hotel.
Who ever called me they had to wait a while to be connected to my room
It's in a prefect location
Hotel is so old rusty. The service is not good because they don't offer good room service for the night
Location,friendliness of the staff.
Room was too cold, aircon control did not respond. The toilet was not flushing well and took a day and a half too become functional and thereafter was not optimally functional. The breakfast was not too grand in terms of service and food options available,we had breakfast out of the hotel.
luxury, good location
Small Lobby, price, no early check-inn.
The conceirge very nice people
The farewell. Once paid, the attitude of the staff changed completely
Staff very helpful, central location, decor lovely
