The hotel has a very nice design and seems to have been recently refurbished. But the quality of the construction is poor, and many things would need a renovation. |

We were upgraded to the best room in the hotel. There were very few other people staying at the hotel though. Rooms are very small and many have no view. It doesn't have the standard of comfort I would expect from a 4 star hotel at the price it is advertised. |

The room was very small and had a slight musty smell. It was difficult to move in the bathroom as the door was very close the the sink and toilet |

The room and hotel met expectations, and was relatively inexpensive. Even though the room is tiny by American standards, it was comfortable, clean, air conditioned (quiet!), nice small bathroom. Staff was attentive. Beds were comfortable. Airport shuttle was convenient. Minor nit-picks, but took a while to figure out how to make the tv work. Also, the electronic door card needed to be refreshed after a day. |

The Reception staff were excellent, and were very helpful. On the whole the Hotel was efficiently run and clean and comfortable. It was chosen by us as it is close to a relative recently moved to Paris through work. There were broken tiles in the bathroom at ankle height beside the wc which could be a potential hazard. This was not bad enough to make a complaint but the hotelier may wish to check this for himself to prevent future problem |

Friendly staff, nice rooms, a bit "over the top". And a small, but friendly Italian restaurant just next door. Fairly small rooms. |

Friendly staff, very helpful! small but clean rooms, decor is okay Hard to believe that this is a 4 star hotel, but then it is a common theme among all the Parisien hotels! Over rated! When I booked it through booking.com, it was advertised as discounted and as a one time offer, but it really was stay minus the breakfast!!! No real discount or offer. Then breakfast is €15/person (including children) which to a family of 4 works out to 60€/day!!! So make sure breakfast is included in the price! |

The hotel is close to the la fayete street with all the shops, close to metro station and gare de nord train station. Room very small, no signs for the door to ask not to be disturbed or to clean the room. Door didn't close properly and air could enter. Could not open the window because the view was to a wall and to other room window. No transparent courtain. Very warm in the room and the airco didn't work properly. |

The lobby was quite nice. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was very noisy, the lights outside of the hotel very on during the night and it was impossible to make the room completly dark. They gave us a room with a broken safe at the beginning, but very willing to change it afterwards (but if you only stay one night you don't want to spend your time on carrying our luggage through the narrow corridors of the hotel - there wasn't anyone helping your with your luggage). The walls are very thin and after listening the TV watching of your neighbour in the late night, in the early morning the cleaning lady started to clean the room next door. For us, the hotel was a great disappointment and I prefer to go to 2-3 star hotel. Then you at least know what you're gonna get. |

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and tidy and it was walking distance to the city too. We got a special opening rate so was quite cheap to stay there. It is really close to the metro to get around and also heaps close to the main train station which gives you access to the airport. Its kind of like inbetween a 3 and 4 star really, as it is quite old, the recent renovations has not totally upgraded the hotel so you can still tell its an old building, but nonetheless, everything worked and the room as clean and tidy which is all we needed. |

The hotel is ideally situated for Gare de Nord and access to the Metro. The Staff were always attentive and helpful, probably the best experience of a Hotel I have had in many many years. Hotel receptionist Bianca deserves special praise. The Barock will be our Hotel of first choice in future visits to Paris. |

The central location and easy access to the metro was a plus. The Hotel is small and friendly. Room was a little small but it was clean with fresh towels everyday and functional. This Hotel will not blow you away but is ideal for a resonably priced central location Hotel in Paris. |

Location: Near Gare Nord and Gare Est, and the simpatic staff they have. If you are finding the fair (Price vs Quality) is the better choise in Paris. Room are small, but normal standart to one hotel in Paris. |

The only good thing was the location. Close to metro and walking distance to several locations. It is a joke that you can call this a 4star hotel. Iv been in 5 other 3 stars and they were much better. There was no extra plug in the wall to use and had to disconnect the mini fridge, massive stain on the wall paper from the aircon... wasnt impressed. |

The hotel is nearby the metro station and a large variety of restaurants and coffee places and a parking area is just across the road. The shower needed to be renewed |
