the fact that the hotel was near a metrostation en downtown first they gave us a room with a big bed in stead of twinbeds as we had booked |

Bastille De Launay is the perfect small city hotel. Paris is a city with many things to do and see - the reality is one spends very little time in their hotel room. there is not need for an overly expensive "glamour plus" hotel. the De Launay provides the necessary clean, comfortable room in a very central location. the rooms are pretty and pleasing; a sense of homeliness. |

The hotel staff we very helpful. the room was clean and inviting. Very near to cafe's, buses and paris's 'Metro' underground system which was very handy!!! Easy walking distance to Le Tour Bus' which was an added bonus. Definatley would stay again |

The silence and the lack of fuss.The quality of the hotel. My room was number 15 which looked onto a small courtyard.I would recommend this room for a single traveler. The hotel is close to the Metro and many restaurants and cafes. On my next visit to Paris I will return to the Hotel Bastille De Launay. |

This was a nice hotel, good location and facilities. A subway station a couple of blocks away gets you anywhere in paris in no time. Very nice and generous breakfast too. The street was kind of dark and not too friendly to walk at night. They wanted to charge us for more coffee at breakfast. |

Very quiet (in winter), but a great location. Typically small room, but adequate, including a small fridge intended for their bar sales, but used by us for cheese,etc. Good shower with instant hot water. Clean, comfortable. |
