The location is perfect My room was so small I could not open the luggage. Breakfast is ridiculous, Staff is too busy to pay attention to clients, as the same person is taking care of the hotel reception, restaurant, cafè and the telephone.

Nice room, pleasant food, central location Very noisy all night and early morning. Slow service, waiters too used to tourists visiting rather than staying?

Our 4 night experience at this hotel was very positive and we loved our quiet cozy room #31. The modern bathroom had a mirror that was strange at first because of the sloped ceiling but it had 2 sinks and was extremely clean. The bed was large and very comfortable with good linens. The breakfast had a lot of variety and served beautifully buffet style. The staff was very prompt and efficient, always polite. The location was perfect. We only had 1 meal there besides breakfast and we thought the food and service was excellent. We enjoyed the charm of an old historic hotel and the church bells nearby, so we would definitely return again. Problem with the WIFI and we finally gave up. Since the rooms are on a high floor under the eaves the hall was very hot and the room airconditioner was barely adequate. The room decor is somewhat faded and could be improved.

Excellent location right at Notre Dame, in a historic building. Cute room at the top of the building. Breakfast a disaster! For the Alsace, one of the best food regions in the world, they really blow it. Cheese in plastic packages, no baguette, and worst was all the breakfast plates were still dirty. Skip breakfast and go anywhere else. Also, room could use a new mattress.

Central location near the old city market square. Very friendly staff, all of whom speak English. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Gourmet dining in their restaurant exceeds all expectations. Highly recommended.

Except for the cathedrale's bells, a great location in a charming building with beautifully renovated / redesigned rooms. This is not really a hotel -- it's a restaurant that rents out a few rooms. The front desk doubles as the Maitre d's stand and is adjacent to the hotel bar. The people at the desk are more focused on restaurant operations than on hotel guests -- check in and check out were both a bit painful, time consuming, and constantly interrupted to seat restaurant guests and response to restaurant reservation telephone calls & emails. A charming, charming building, beautful rooms, but I had to rate the staff as poor because they're not really hotel staff -- they're restaurant staff with a collateral and far less important secondary duty.

The location was excellent. The staff needs to be more responsive. Thankfully, I and several of those I traveled with speak French. If you are an English speaker only, you will be unable to communicate with the staff. Additionally, the rooms need to be better soundproofed. The sound of the cathedral bells was tolerable, but the sound of rattling bottles from the kitchen starting at 6 am was not.

The friendly, cosy atmosphere and unusual, ancient and interesting building - though we were grateful for the modern bathroom facility. In an excellent position for visiting the old town and cathedral. Would have liked a second chair in the bedroom (though there would have been little room) and some information leaflets available about the town.
